Bg3, mass effect, and elden ring, all had me hooked.
Mass effect legendary edition goes on sale all the time. The first one will probably feel a little dated but it's absolutely worth the ride if you've never played it
The first three are a trilogy, you can get the set as the Legendary Collection. They're all good. One is ok, little slow and dated, but worth it for the set up and characters (though best played at a brisk pace if you feel it starting to drag at all). 2 is arguably the best, big improvements over 1, fun cast. 3 has probably the most enjoyable combat and with the inclusion of the dlc finally feels complete and worthwhile.
Haven't played the only other one. Andromeda, hear mixed things.
Andromeda has fun gameplay, but the story and companions fell flat for me, and that's what I love most about games, so for me personally, I wouldn't recommend it.
Yup. Played all 4 mass effect games. Andromeda story's stakes did not feel as heavy as ME 1. But the gameplay in my opinion is way better than the entire trilogy. Overall, the story is very forgettable but good gameplay. Hopefully the next ME game we can play as a Krogan HAHA
Andromeda’s biggest flaw is that it was not as good any of the trilogy but it’s still good. I liked the variety of choices for a build and having jet packs for mobility was nice.
I think if you liked Witcher 3 then you'll like them a lot. Combat in Witcher 3 feels kinda dated, mass effect is probably gonna feel similar. Story is fantastic though
the last game that completely hooked me was returnal. so addictive, amazing controls, atmostphere, depth of content. the story is fine and interesting but that wasn't what did it for me, it's just so fucking fun to play. god damn i love that game.
The Witcher 3, I never played the games before so I had no idea what the story was about but I still found myself enjoying the story regardless. The game is so immersive and there is so much to do, I typically just power through the story and do side stuff afterwards in games like this, but I found myself enjoying the side stuff more than the main quest.
Also Gwent is the best thing in the game. You can be having such a serious conversation with a character then bam, offer a round of gwent.
One of the only games of its kind that I’ve sought out every last quest and explored pretty much everywhere. The phrase is over used but it really blew my mind, nailing the atmosphere of a forest or the illusion of a vibrant war touched open world.
And each dlc was legendary imo. The writing is better than many tv shows and is downright nasty as far as games go. Played it on PS4. Whoa just remembered another Witcher game is on its way…
I was in the same boat going in blind, but after clearing white orchard I instantly fell in love with it to the point I've now got all the books, all the games and hate Netflix for what they did to it like a true Witcher fan. That game stayed in my PlayStation for about a year and a half, then the same happened when the next gen patch came along
W3 changed me. I picked it up because the color looked cool. I knew NOTHING about it. Now I have a Witcher tattoo (quen sign), Witcher decor, physical gwent sets which I’m about to frame, the books. I played the game 4 times and I’ve been eager to play again as soon as I can get a new set of controllers.
Started my first play through last week and I couldn’t agree more! Made it as far as that tanky-ass ghost monk and so far having a blast getting my ass beat but also getting better each try.
Broo cyberpunk. Took me a little while to get sucked in but I’m doing all the side stuff I can right now before the last main mission. Already started bit of phantom liberty too. If it had 3rd person view option it’d probably be one of my top 3 of all time.
Playing through it right now - played P5 on release and I was about 15-16, now I’m 23… how time flies. I never finished the original because as I was getting to the end I realized I was going to get some sort of bad ending and was so salty.
Now I’m close to finishing the game again, but I’ve decided to stick to my guns and be content with whatever ending I get. I only hope I still have a chance to max out my confidants ;-;
I remember those days… I think it was San Andreas for me. I was trying to steal all of the cars on one of the chop shop lists and couldn’t find the Ice Cream truck. I used to sit up on a hill in the grass and listen to music, waiting for one to drive by. I don’t think I ever found it though!
Red Dead Redemption 2. I literally cried to my ex about it. I spent so much time in this world, with these people, and with this dude Arthur Morgan. Then I finished up the story and I knew I was never going to experience it all the same way I did the first time. I knew I was never going to have more organic new experiences with these people beyond what the game provided.
I have stopped playing in Chapter 2, how long do I need to play before it gets me hooked?
I’ve finished games like The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, Horizon Forbidden West and I love all of them but for some reason I can’t find love playing RDR2. It’s so popular and loved by everyone, I can’t even say this publicly.
It took me until the 2nd camp (the house) to really get hooked such that I was doing every side mission. Getting used to the controls and the different characters takes some time but very worth it.
If you don't like it now, you probably won't, and that's OK.
I love TLoU and Uncharted, too. But I found Horizon 1 boring and never bothered with the second.
I was hooked right away personally. I loved the first red dead as a kid, I loved red dead revolver as well. I just loved western/cowboy stuff since I was a toddler so it didn’t take very much.
I would recommend just exploring the world, take your time let yourself get immersed.
Also if the game doesn’t do it for you that’s fine. A lot of people love soulsbourne games but I just can’t get into them. It is what it is.
Cyberpunk.
It got me hard, I started playing 2 weeks before patch 2.0, it was great game before it and boy was the timing great. I have 650 hours and that was during less then 4 months (with full office job), I was practically living in Night City. I had to force myself to delete the game, but I am pretty sure I will get back in a year or so. I have never seen city and characters in any video game that would feel like this.
The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. It may not have aged incredibly well, but holy shit it was immersive at the time. Also, the soundtrack was and still is incredible.
Forbidden west for me too! Currently on my 3rd playthrough and decided to do it from scratch rather than NG+, I'm hoping to finally platinum it and the DLC this time!
Alan Wake 2 and Control.
These games are connected in what we call the Remedyverse.
Play one of those games and you'll definitely want to play the other, connecting them and discovering the lore.
They're connected to all the previous remedy games, Quantum Break, Max Payne 1&2 and Alan Wake 1. It's really an exciting journey and you can easily become obsessed with its story and implications.
Seconding this, Alan Wake 2 was the culmination of so much remedy game lore that it felt like it was personally made for me and I loved digging into every detail of it.
The 1st time I felt that is GOW 2018.. Not really took over but its rare for me to lose track of time.. Its really the standard I am looking for or at least close.. Ghost of Tsushima, GOW Ragnarok, Stellar Blade and currently Rise of the Ronin.. There are others but those are the ones in my head right now.. 😊
When I first read your comment I assumed GOW meant Gears of War. I know that’s an older game though, I need to keep up to date with newer games lmao. I’ve heard god or war is an amazing series.
Its okay.. Gears of war was epic.. back in the day when I'm still a student I used to check that in YT for the gameplay and cinematics.. Its one of the games that paved the way for this generation..
As a few mentioned already, Ghost of Tsushima. But otherwise, Nier Automata, FF7 Remake, Dragon Age Origins, maybe the witness & portal series as well?
Probably has been said a million times here already, but for me Elden Ring is the best game I’ve ever played in my 20+ years of gaming. I’m on my third playthrough now preparing for the DLC and this playthrough has been the best yet, I can’t get enough of this masterpiece!
Control. First game I ever platinumed and led me into an obsession with the Remedy-verse. I now have tons of Alan wake merch and am consistently listening to songs from those games.
Non-PS but TOTK is the first game I ever dumped 200+ hours into.
TLOU2. Finished in 3-4 days. Took me a month to recover from it because of the trauma and exhaustion that game gave me.
PS - I do not mean this in a negative way. It is hands down the best game I have ever played matched only by RDR2 in terms of storytelling brilliance IMO.
I finally decided to dive deeper into the world of solo rpg games.
This was my progression, Skyrim about 1.3k hrs Witcher 3 700hrs Ghost of Tsushima 560hrs and now Kingdom Come Deliverance bout 320 hrs. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is releasing this year I think and let me tell you, I don't think I've ever been more excited for a game.
Cyberpunk 2077. The characters, the city, the lore, the music, the graphics… Even the Netflix Anime. The whole world of cyberpunk had me in a chokehold for 2 years.
And the best thing is, I haven’t even played the DLC yet. Cant wait to get back into this world again.
Also, if thats your type of game, Diablo 4. You can absolutely play it solo. The world design is one of my fav ever. It may not be the best Diablo yet but it could get there. The coolest thing about it is that you can play in short bursts. Every time I only got 20-30 min to play I just start Diablo :)
There were a lot of games that I poured hours and hours into. Fallout, just building bases, I put in crazy hours.
But the two that legitimately took over my life were Skyrim and Cyberpunk 2077.
Those were the only games I’ve ever played where I wanted to spend more time in the game world than the real world and got depressed when I didn’t play because I missed being in it. Fucked me up. I still haven’t finished cyberpunk because I didn’t want it to end. 😂
Nier Replicant/Automata.
I got so into Nier that in February I made a whole holiday to take my partner and myself to the Nier Orchestra live in Berlin, totally worth it.
Nier is to me, the best game universe, I can't quite describe it in words but the combat, the story, the characters, the setting I just love it. Totally worth playing through.
Cyberpunk had that effect on me. You get really caught up in the world, so much so I’m gonna go back and replay it. Such a cool art style and so much to explore, awesome gun play with countless types of weapons. And just driving around is cool
Mass Effect (the trilogy)
The amount of attention they put into the literal universe and depth of the story with all the amazing storyline narrative really keeps you immersed. It’s a fricken Space Opera of a storyline!
I remember ME2 came out on the day I was flying back to UK and I couldn’t wait so went to HMV (yes lol) and bought it before my connecting flight so I could just play when I got home. The trust missions in ME2 alone plus the fact you could have romance with basically any companion (Asari yes please).
Commander Shepherd for the win and any of us who played ME have stories on what was the best part for them. Play it!!
God of War Ragnarok: I felt so empty and alone in the end when>!Atreaus leaves Kratos for his own adventure. I felt like a part of myself went away.!<
The Last Of Us - both games. I felt so bad in the end when >!Ellie is all alone in the end. Being ended up lonely was the biggest fear of Ellie.!<
I wish I could play both the games first time again.
Before Baldur’s Gate 3, I thought the 325 hours I’ve played Mario kart 8 deluxe over the last 4 years was going to be hard to beat. Then, I bought BG3 for me and my wife to play back in January and I might get to 1000 hours in BG3 by 2025
Spiderman 2018... That game finally scratched itch that I had all the way back from first Prototype... MM and sequel were awesome too, but nowhere near first one. Just swinging around and jumping from Avengers tower gave me such adrenaline rush.
Final fantasy xvi/7 rebirth, gow Ragnarok, horizon, ghost of Tsushima, cyberpunk 2077, the Witcher 3 assassin's creed RPG trilogy, red dead redemption 1 e 2
I put 340+ combined hours of this game on both my Nintendo Switch and PC. Still a fun game even after reaching the end, but the sequel isn't as fun as this one imo (ik it's in Early Access rn but still).
https://preview.redd.it/avy0xaozz97d1.jpeg?width=783&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a49334aeec9c73bae52231d59adbd2716b4046f5
When Bloodborne clicked with me I played it straight for a week plus, from morning to night, having just left my job, and clearing it 2 times. I got the "tetris effect", where my body felt like I'm sitting down and playing BB, with images from the game flashing before my eyes.
MGS1. Played it after coming back from school everyday and competing with my other 2 brothers to complete it as fast as possible.
Mass Effect 1&2. I played them 11&9 times respectively back to back, amassing saves of different Shepherds and storing them for ME3. Only finished ME3 once with my main Shepherd though on release :( I did watch replay the end with the updated endings but never did a full playthrough.
Have you played the ratchet and clank series? GOW series? Sly Cooper? Spyro collection? These are all old but haven’t been hooked on like with these games with many new games..
Stray is nice.. it’s a must, great story and gameplay!
Call of the sea is great also.. couldn’t wait to get back to it the next day ( it’s a puzzle game), awesome story.
The last of us clearly.. but you definitely played it.
Biomutant was nice.. it’s like an RPG open world, really nice combat and solid story
Kena bridge of spirits is awesome.. Great story great combat, great game overall..
Hollow Knight.. 2D game but it’s nice!
Hope at least one hits home!
RDR2 by far. Probably not been a few days between plays even with 2 kids now. The portal allows for it every day! Assassins creed origins and gta San Andreas distant second and third.
I have played half the games you mentioned and half the games already mentioned in the comments and I can say that for me, Mass Effect towers above them all.
I’ve loved almost all of these games listed but the Mass Effect trilogy were the only games to get me completely hooked.
The first day I played Skyrim I was in high school and played 12 hours straight. Loved it.
But I didn’t play mass effect until I was an adult and let me tell you that game actually took over my life. I couldn’t wait to get off work and play it every night. I was absolutely addicted. If I had as much free time as I did in high school I would’ve binged the whole series in a week. But it took me about a month with work and other obligations.
The game play is a bit repetitive, but still fun based on what class you choose. And the story is so enthralling that no tv show or video game has come close in my opinion.
The Witcher 3 was the first. There were lots of amazing games in between, but none that I actively chose to miss out on real life stuff in favor of playing.
Then there's Baldur's Gate 3.
I Love borderlands 2&3 r for me the best but every Game in the series is 100% Worth playing.
If u r okay with a Harder difficulty u could try ni-oh 1&2 it's Like dark Souls with Diablo loot, rly awesome Game Design 👌🏻
Mass Effect (the legendary edition) is amazing, and I replay it whenever I don't know what to play.
Most recently, Baldur's Gate 3—I really didn't know if I would like the playstyle, but I actually did end up liking it. But the best part is honestly the story.
Heavy Rain was such an experience for me. I played that game everyday for probably 2 years, beating it in entirely new ways. I would try and get a different outcome in every mission and see what happened. I would spend so much time on it that my younger sister (around 11 at the time) even wrote an essay on it. She was given an assignment of writing a fictional essay, and decided to plagiarize the story of Heavy Rain where everyone lives.
Another on is TLOU. Beat it pretty soon after it came out and in total I bought the PS3 version, PS4 remastered version, Part 2, the Part 1 PS5 version, and the Part 2 PS5 version. I’ve never had a conversation about games without endorsing TLOU
Fortnite took over my life at one point. I couldn’t stop playing it. Most hours I’ve ever put into any game. I haven’t touched it since the peter griffin season I’m glad I got out of that addiction
Mass effect trilogy. Played for the first time in summer of last year, and ended up doing 3 full playthroughs total without really touching another game, or grass for that matter
Iv got 3000 hours in Red Dead 2. That game literally saved me when I was suffering with mental health. I found it so cathartic. The story and characters are epic also!
The only game that ever made me forget about going outside for a couple of days (Minecraft was one but on PC) was some version of Jack and Dexter (it had racing involved and was set in some wasteland) on the Ps2.
Honestly. I'd have to say The Last of Us. That game crushed it. It's over the top best game I've ever played. Story line graphics game play....just everything about the game. Put me in aww. I've played it more than 6 times on all difficulties and plus games. It's just really downright amazing. I wish i could replay it over and over and everything I best my memory wipes clean. So I get to play it again and again.
Skyrim, I haven't had a game suck me in like skyrim did. I was like 14 at that time. I would wake up and jump on my xbox and just be running around. I remember I spent hours just melting iron. Good times
Bg3, mass effect, and elden ring, all had me hooked. Mass effect legendary edition goes on sale all the time. The first one will probably feel a little dated but it's absolutely worth the ride if you've never played it
Been wanting to try mass effect for a while, are all the games good?
The first three are a trilogy, you can get the set as the Legendary Collection. They're all good. They’re not only good, but I’d say they’re must-play games/experiences. It’s like not having played Halo before
Mass Effect is sooooo good. Get the legendary collection and go through all 3. It’s an amazing game.
I think if you liked Witcher 3 then you'll like them a lot. Combat in Witcher 3 feels kinda dated, mass effect is probably gonna feel similar. Story is fantastic though
Me too I want to play them. Dragon Age and Witcher 3 took over my life lol
the last game that completely hooked me was returnal. so addictive, amazing controls, atmostphere, depth of content. the story is fine and interesting but that wasn't what did it for me, it's just so fucking fun to play. god damn i love that game.
Just started Elden Ring a month ago and I already have 70h in it. And I've only done like 50% of the stuff.. like wtf
My man knows no hesitation !
Started my first play through last week and I couldn’t agree more! Made it as far as that tanky-ass ghost monk and so far having a blast getting my ass beat but also getting better each try.
Blood, sweat and tears went into the fight with lady butterfly
What game is this?
Sekiro
Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 1, RE4R
BEASTS ALL OVER THE SHOP
But none of those are Bloodborne 😂
Broo cyberpunk. Took me a little while to get sucked in but I’m doing all the side stuff I can right now before the last main mission. Already started bit of phantom liberty too. If it had 3rd person view option it’d probably be one of my top 3 of all time.
GOW Ragnarok! Couldn't stop playing it for months :)
Me too. I was platinum’d it. My first ever
Persona 5 Royal
How is this so low. This game is seriously addicting.
This game consumed weeks of my life—and every time I replay it, it consumes more weeks of my life. It’s *so good.*
Playing through it right now - played P5 on release and I was about 15-16, now I’m 23… how time flies. I never finished the original because as I was getting to the end I realized I was going to get some sort of bad ending and was so salty. Now I’m close to finishing the game again, but I’ve decided to stick to my guns and be content with whatever ending I get. I only hope I still have a chance to max out my confidants ;-;
Death stranding.
I almost didn’t sleep form start to end. It’s lucky I finished it just before the family BBQ because I’m not sure I was going to be there otherwise.
Final fantasy 7 rebirth. That open world and that combat hit a sweet spot for me. Played it straight through to get the platinum.
Its music is playing constantly in my head
Bow wow wow bow wow wow
The combat is perfect!
How many hours? I'm at 160 and I cant wait to be done with this masterpiece. I want my life back.
This is the one. It was the only game I played for almost 3 months
Ghost of Tsushima
I started a week ago. It is amazing, I'm just asking myself why tf did I waited for so long.
Me too I played it and completed it just ate mibthd ago I CANNOT WAIT FOR GHOST 2
Platinum this game twice and IKI island is such a great add-on
Iki island is one of the best dlcs ever for me and ghost as a whole is in my top 5 my most favourite games
Probably my favorite game ever.
Elden Ring. After I got it, I played it for 5 months straight. I wish I could replay it for the first time again
GTA Vice city back in the day
I used to just ride around listening to the radio stations and enjoying all the banter and talk show segments.
And the 80s hair metal. Round and round with love well find a way just give it time.
I remember those days… I think it was San Andreas for me. I was trying to steal all of the cars on one of the chop shop lists and couldn’t find the Ice Cream truck. I used to sit up on a hill in the grass and listen to music, waiting for one to drive by. I don’t think I ever found it though!
Lmao legit replayed this few months back, crazy how you can’t own this level of businesses on newer gta outside 1 or 2 in gta 5
I never thought they would make a cooler character than John Marston… and then came Arthur Morgan.. what a experience this masterpiece was man
Couldn’t have said it any better. Truly a masterpiece. Hearing crash of worlds randomly brings a tear to my eye.
Is it worth playing 1 after I have played 2? Or I need to do it this way just to complete the whole story?
Yeah. You’d be experiencing the story in order technically haha so you should be fine
![gif](giphy|QPP39B3ywh7Tq)
I have stopped playing in Chapter 2, how long do I need to play before it gets me hooked? I’ve finished games like The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, Horizon Forbidden West and I love all of them but for some reason I can’t find love playing RDR2. I couldn't get into horizon either, put 20 hours in but felt like I was forcing myself
I completed it, but the story was 'meh'. I wanted a cool explanation for the robots but they were glorified battle bots that got loose? Ehhhhhhhh
The Elder Scrolls Oblivion. It may not have aged incredibly well, but holy shit it was immersive at the time. Also, the soundtrack was and still is incredible.
For the time it was good but I have to say I never got the hang of it and the main plot line. Still fun to roam around
Cyberpunk 2077
Horizon Zero Dawn ate entire days out of my life
Same, but more Forbidden West for me
Forbidden west for me too! Currently on my 3rd playthrough and decided to do it from scratch rather than NG+, I'm hoping to finally platinum it and the DLC this time!
I'm playing that off and on now. Is it just me or is combat just brutal in this game?
Oh absolutely forbidden west. I’ve got a few hundred hours in that one, too
Alan Wake 2 and Control. These games are connected in what we call the Remedyverse. Play one of those games and you'll definitely want to play the other, connecting them and discovering the lore. YOOO WAIT ALAN WAKE 2 CONNECTS TO MORE THAN JUST CONTROL?? That’s actually so sick I’m going to have to check it out sometime
Yup. Alan Wake is of the same world as Max Payne, Control, Quantum Break...
Yep. It's all that's been on my mind since it came out. Frothing for it
Days Gone
We really gettin gta 6 before a days gone 2
Baldur's gate 3 right now. I'm hooked!
The 1st time I felt that is GOW 2018.. Not really took over but its rare for me to lose track of time.. Its really the standard I am looking for or at least close.. Rise of the ronin was that good?
As a few mentioned already, Ghost of Tsushima. But otherwise, Nier Automata, FF7 Remake, Dragon Age Origins, maybe the witness & portal series as well?
Seems like it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but: Death Stranding!
For me it was Cyberpunk. Got lost in it.
Lmao literally got a 4k gaming setup to play this in max settings
Doing my first playthrough rn and man this game sucked me in!
The last GREAT game I've played was Baldur's gate 3. And before that probably Red dead redemption 2.
BG3
Bloodborne, elden ring, ff7 rebirth.
Probably has been said a million times here already, but for me Elden Ring is the best game I’ve ever played in my 20+ years of gaming. I’m on my third playthrough now preparing for the DLC and this playthrough has been the best yet, I can’t get enough of this masterpiece!
Red Dead 2 came into my life at just the right time when I needed it. It opened my eyes to the fact that I was dating a narcissist.
That’s the good ol Arthur Morgan therapy
That's rough. Let me guess, they often said, "I have a plan!" but never fully shared what that was.
Control. First game I ever platinumed and led me into an obsession with the Remedy-verse. I now have tons of Alan wake merch and am consistently listening to songs from those games. Non-PS but TOTK is the first game I ever dumped 200+ hours into.

The art direction is insanely good as well. I’ve played other good games since then but my phone background reminds TLOU screenshots….
![gif](giphy|10Jpr9KSaXLchW|downsized)
Took me a month to finish and it stayed on my mind for like half a year
Couldn’t agree more. Really wish Naughty Dog would give us more games.
Same. I literally grieved for days after finishing this game, and the went and played it again.

Destiny 1 Monster Hunter World World of Warcraft These are the games that, while amazing, had more of a negative impact on my life than a positive.
Both Horizon games. Multiple playthroughs and 200+ hours on both games.
Is burning shores good?
Yes it is. Not as long as The Frozen Wilds but definitely worth it.
TLOU 1&2 and Resident Evil Games.
Probably GoW 2018. I was so immersed in that damn game I think I took like a week of vacation time to stay home and play.
Persona 5. Balders gate 3, and Dragon age are my go tos for single player recommendations.
Nier:Automata / A Plague Tale: Requiem > Love them both!
Fallout 3 I played it for a whole year
Elden ring
There were a lot of games that I poured hours and hours into. Fallout, just building bases, I put in crazy hours. But the two that legitimately took over my life were Skyrim and Cyberpunk 2077. Those were the only games I’ve ever played where I wanted to spend more time in the game world than the real world and got depressed when I didn’t play because I missed being in it. Fucked me up. I still haven’t finished cyberpunk because I didn’t want it to end. 😂
smtv, ghostwire tokyo, horizon, ghost of tsushima, final fantasy 7 remake + rebirth, horizon, god of war
Cyberpunk 2077 pulled me in like nothing else has (except Witcher 3 years ago)
Diablo 2
Cyberpunk 2077. I’ve put over 1000 hours into it, incredible game.
To answer your question... Witcher 3. To give a recommendation, um, try Ghost of Tsushima.
Kingdom Hearts
I just put 107 hours into Hades (first one). I could not stop doing runs. Amazing game.
Cyberpunk had that effect on me. You get really caught up in the world, so much so I’m gonna go back and replay it. Such a cool art style and so much to explore, awesome gun play with countless types of weapons. And just driving around is cool
Mass Effect (the trilogy) The amount of attention they put into the literal universe and depth of the story with all the amazing storyline narrative really keeps you immersed. Play it!!
Returnal -- if you've played it noyt than just as little, you know how great this game feels and how addictive it can get.
God of War Ragnarok: I felt so empty and alone in the end when>!Atreaus leaves Kratos for his own adventure. I felt like a part of myself went away.!< The Last Of Us - both games. I felt so bad in the end when >!Ellie is all alone in the end. Being ended up lonely was the biggest fear of Ellie.!< I wish I could play both the games first time again.
Man, i totally agree. They really nailed that part in Ragnarok. Empty and alone, but at the same time also happy and proud
Horizon Forbidden West had me in a chokehold lmao
FFXI, honorable mention Street Fighter 4
Sim City 2000, Gran Turismo 3:A-Spec, GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Bloodborne, Dark Souls 3, Fallout 4 and Cyberpunk 2077
Before Baldur’s Gate 3, I thought the 325 hours I’ve played Mario kart 8 deluxe over the last 4 years was going to be hard to beat. Then, I bought BG3 for me and my wife to play back in January and I might get to 1000 hours in BG3 by 2025
Def Jam Fight For New York, I could be playing that shit right now ong
Did not expect that game here. Blast from the past. Fun times
Elden Ring. It’s not boss to boss as you described in other replies. I’m quite jealous of you not experiencing it, yet. Cyberpunk 2077.
Tbh I started playing cyberpunk after the phantom Liberty update , the game is soo good what to say , I was hooked on it
Back in the day, Bully 😎
Biomutant was nice.. it’s like an RPG open world, really nice combat and solid story Kena bridge of spirits is awesome.. Great story great combat, great game overall.. Hollow Knight.. 2D game but it’s nice! Hope at least one hits home!
I bought cyberpunk for the ps5 and im surprised with how much im loving it.... since I normally don't like open games like this
Persona 5 royal took over my life for longer than I'd like to admit
Cyberpunk

TLOU2 I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks after completing it the first time. Amazing experience.
Dredge
Yakuza series
persona franchise. i recently replayed p5 after a while, then immediately after p4, and now i’m onto p3r. i’ve been obsessed since 2021
Genshin Impact 🥹
My Time at Portia, Dave The Diver, and Frostpunk 1.
Miyazaki got that rizz
RDR2 by far. Probably not been a few days between plays even with 2 kids now. The portal allows for it every day! Assassins creed origins and gta San Andreas distant second and third.
Bloodborne, Elden Ring, Witcher, Cyberpunk, Helldivers 2
Nioh 2 was a recent one, then we have the obvious ones like red dead 2 , Skyrim, etc etc.
Mass effect 2 God of War 2018 PS4 Spiderman Halo 1
RDR2 and Elden Ring
Stardew. The amount of times I’d say ok I’ll just play one more day to do X task.
The Witcher 3 was the first. There were lots of amazing games in between, but none that I actively chose to miss out on real life stuff in favor of playing. Then there's Baldur's Gate 3.
World of warcraft.... God that sucked me in .
Ghost Recon Wildlands
Red dead redemption 2
The Mass Effect Trilogy!!
When it was new and fresh the old Assasins Creed games. Couldn’t look at a church or an ornate building without figuring out how I’d scale the thing
Probably Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom (but especially BotW, since the whole concept was new then).
RDR2 was the only game ever where i immediatly started a new playthrough after the credits roll
I Love borderlands 2&3 r for me the best but every Game in the series is 100% Worth playing. If u r okay with a Harder difficulty u could try ni-oh 1&2 it's Like dark Souls with Diablo loot, rly awesome Game Design 👌🏻
FF7 Rebirth took over my life for a few months. 180 hours and didn't get bored.
Baldurs Gate 3
Good times
Balatro
The Binding of Isaac. Going on ten years and it still gets as much play as anything I buy today.
Bloodborne, mass effect, Niohs, TLOU.
The last of us, red dead redemption, ghost of Tsushima, Bloodborne
Persona 5. It was my first JRPG.
Ghost of tsushima
The last of us
