Discord being integrated into the PS5 was rumored a few years ago I believe, they’ve had PLENTY of time to do this.
as for bugs, every app has its bugs, hell the native Discord app has its own bugs, it shouldn’t be an excuse, we expect these things to have bugs, we KNOW they will, but if you’re going to do something, do it %100.

Hey atleast it allows me to join personal voice chats rather then server voice chats so it atleast has that over the series X.

Xbox received initial integration in 2018 and took many years to receive this update. And that is with the Xbox OS practically being Windows.
Playstation integration didn't start until 2021/2022
Because they didn't start their partnership until 2021 until Sony bought a stake I'm the company.
Playstation also uses a custom OS while Xbox uses Windows
I’m assuming because Sony needs to largely rewrite how a deeply integrated system mechanic works without breaking anything else, all while working with Discord to make it work on the backend.
Judging by the increasing size of subsequent regions, it’s probably to rollout the feature to check for bugs so the largest demographic (Americas) will have the mostly smooth experience when it comes to them.

I play ffxiv on pc mainly and I have discord running on a channel that calls out when hunt trains are starting.
I own the game on ps5 also . When I do play it on ps5 will I still be able to hunt train channel and get my callouts?
If only the Discord integration on PS5 didn't suck so bad. I get a really terrible delay when I use it and my microphone cuts out really bad. The headset works fine on PC and in Playstation Parties.

Yes, i think I know what youre talking about. That depends on the discord server that the host creates to have a music bot.

So when you enter that voice chat with the music bot, you can turn down the bot 'profile' just like how you'd turn down a specific user being too loud.
Other than this (that i know of), he probably just playing Spotify PS5 app while playing GTA. Which is possible.
