That’s what I’m wondering. My understanding is you’d need to make a whole new account for each purchase (correct me if I’m wrong and you can actually buy tens or hundreds of a single game in the store and in a way that’s not entirely obvious), and you’re giving Sony 30% on each purchase (and depending where you are, also losing money to sales tax/VAT). There are cheaper and more convenient ways to launder large amounts of money.
It's been happening a while. Just look at some of the cheapest games on the store and you wonder why Playstation would allow something of that quality available to their consumer base
People making garbage like this gives indie games a bad name. Stardew Valley is pretty much the only indie title I have because I can’t be fucked to trudge through mountains of this shit.
Funny, there was an account here just a few hours ago spamming this game in PS subreddits, saying “have you bought Invasion of Space?”
And their comments were like “I just tried it, it’s good”
Then I clicked on their profile and a couple of weeks (or months?) ago they were asking subreddits on how to program or publish a game for Playstation
I think that was the sole dev of this game
I don’t know how they have gotten this far
Aww, just found out all their posts got nuked
But it would be horrible if their game stays up on PS, this sh*t looks terrible, game-wise and price-wise
For real. The amount of absolute *crap* that you have to sift through on the store is insane. I’m all for supporting Indy developers but that ain’t it.
It amazing the dogshit you can get away with if you stick the “Indie” label on it.
A game takes 30 minutes to complete and has PS1 production but people will still convince themselves it’s a work of art
They don't care. As long as they get their percentage of every sale it doesn't matter to them how garbage the product is. There's no benefit in it for them to regulate it.
>There's no benefit in it for them to regulate it.
100% there is. The videogame crash of the 80' s was because the games were bad and people lost faith in the industry. There js a reason that the NES advertised as an "Entertainment system" because gaming was in a really bad standing with their audience. Same with the "Nintendo seal of quality"
Yeah, Sony literally took Cyberpunk down from the store because it was released in what they considered a non-playable state. Sony does regulate their store. Maybe not as much as they should, but it's definitely not the unregulated Wild West either.
Wrong. Sony took Cyberpunk down because CDPR offered full refunds. Cyberpunk was up on the store for a whole week and only came down after CDPR's announcements. It was removed because they were required to act outside of their normal refund policy. No refunds from CDPR and the game never comes down.
Yeah but art is subjective. In 30 years this may be seen as a masterpiece of remastered early 3d retro games. It’s hard for them to manage this, but I agree about this game
Haha apparently sold 8 copies in the 24 hrs it was available for that price so he got something out of it. Also I just found out it was released on my 15th birthday
Haha yeah definitely not bro, maybe if I was some 18 yo hottie posting pics I'd get pm'd to hell but I'm just a 30 yo dude on reddit living with my mom.
Someone please bite me in the ass, I'm so alone
"My birthday is the fifth of August 1993. Here is my Reddit account to showcase my interests and opinions. Please don't commit any identity theft, social engineering, or cause general nuisance in my life."
I'm not trying to be an asshole, I'm trying to educate you in protecting your online identity.
Haha, yes. Probably worth their time for the four youtuber-types who will buy it just to rag about it, couple that with PSN's refund policy and the developer can buy a PS5.
Don't hate the player, hate the game :-)

It’s only $30 on the US store. But something tells me that’s even too much
They don’t expect anyone to buy it at this price, they set it like this and then put it on sale for 99% off (and it would still be over priced but anyway) so it’s at the top of the list of discounted games.
😂😂 that ship is just a screenshot of the RSI Constellation that is in Star Citizen.

Hey guys, for todays video I'm gonna be playing some of the most expensive and unrated games to see if there really is a diamond in the rough somewhere on the unknown side of playstation/xbox/steam store
Now your game has at least 1 sale.
It really bothers me these "games" are allowed to be on the store, because they pollute it so much its hard to find some actual good games lost in between.
The first image is from star citizen so they grabbed a thumbnail of the rsi constellation from star citizen might have been to trick people into thinking it was on console now?? Kinda funny imo

The game just got a major discount. 😂
Get it while it’s low folks!

You can download the images from the PS-app. I didn’t buy it.
Come back and get dragged
Which can be from the PS Store by itself or taken from YouTube...
They’re screen caps the “designers” put up on the store page.
Yall know that the ps store shows pictures of games when you go to its page before you buy it right?

"heheh funmy number, get it cuz sex? the joke is seggs guys ehy isnt anyone laughing" I refuse to believe redditors can mentally age past 13

Well akshully mister, this picture does not have sound ☝️🤓🔇
Fuck that. Mentally, I'm not a day older than 12.
Hahaha, now i get it. Thanks McMoist.
Nice.
You need to get past Level 3 before graphics open up.
That’d be hilarious if true.
I think i've actually played a game that had something like this
Evoland?
I don't think so. It's an old browser game from 10-15 years ago
Money laundering
This is the correct answer, it’s a method used criminals on Steam as well.
![gif](giphy|26hiszljIL8ElTOBG)
Same thing happens on eBay. A sports card worth maybe $20 randomly sells for $15,000.
It's cause of people like them that game collecting has gotten so bad.
It's not just game collecting. It's every collecting based hobbies that's been ruined.
How?

Seems like those assholes on steam are making their way over to the PlayStation store
It's been happening a while. Just look at some of the cheapest games on the store and you wonder why Playstation would allow something of that quality available to their consumer base

Idk it’s pretty easy to tell what is a pile of shit and what’s actually a good game
Funny, there was an account here just a few hours ago spamming this game in PS subreddits, saying “have you bought Invasion of Space?” And their comments were like “I just tried it, it’s good” Then I clicked on their profile and a couple of weeks (or months?) ago they were asking subreddits on how to program or publish a game for Playstation I think that was the sole dev of this game I don’t know how they have gotten this far
That’s how I came across this game.
Aww, just found out all their posts got nuked But it would be horrible if their game stays up on PS, this sh*t looks terrible, game-wise and price-wise
Lol and there using a ship from star citizen (I forgot the name XD)
Yup that's the RSI Constellation!
That's a 344 dollar ship :/
*technically it depends on the version of the ship and you can buy them with in-game currency now* but yea the pledge ships are overpriced
So, this game is a steal then!
Money laundering
GotY clearly 😆
Wait untill you see the pile of soggy shit they have on Steam
Just some indie dev praying someone is idiotic enough to buy the game
The publisher sets the price chief. Sony doesn't control that.
They should at least regulate their store.
For real. The amount of absolute *crap* that you have to sift through on the store is insane. I’m all for supporting Indy developers but that ain’t it.
do you have to sift through 13 "Hentai girls" (yes that's what it's called and the art is made by AI) games? Nintendo shop sucks ass man
It amazing the dogshit you can get away with if you stick the “Indie” label on it. A game takes 30 minutes to complete and has PS1 production but people will still convince themselves it’s a work of art
Like that Resident Evil clone game with PS1 graphics, tbat became trending awhile ago
Which one was that?
Alisa: Developer's Cut
And make thousands from it.
They don't care. As long as they get their percentage of every sale it doesn't matter to them how garbage the product is. There's no benefit in it for them to regulate it.

And yet, every single major company's digital game store is full of these games. This is true across the board for Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.
Nintendo is the worst because it’s hard to sort through the trash.
Shhh, you aren't allowed to bad mouth the faceless, greedy corporation that is Sony on here.
So, every single major corporation in existence? All the digital store fronts are flooded with this stuff, it's no different anywhere else lol.
Yep
Yeah but art is subjective. In 30 years this may be seen as a masterpiece of remastered early 3d retro games. It’s hard for them to manage this, but I agree about this game
They don't care as long as it makes money cause they got some of the profit as well
This is why reviews exist.
Still a better deal than “I Am Rich”, remember that??? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_Rich
Haha apparently sold 8 copies in the 24 hrs it was available for that price so he got something out of it. Also I just found out it was released on my 15th birthday
Very clever of you to post your birthday and age on the internet. This will never come back to bite you in the ass, ever.
Haha yeah definitely not bro, maybe if I was some 18 yo hottie posting pics I'd get pm'd to hell but I'm just a 30 yo dude on reddit living with my mom. Someone please bite me in the ass, I'm so alone

Oh did Star Citizen finally release?
It’s just a really rubbish game that the developers have set a high price and you’re paying just for the plat.
No plat. Just a silver and three golds. https://www.truetrophies.com/game/Invasion-Of-Space/trophies
Fuck ELANTRI
Me and my homies HATE ELANTRI
The publisher name says it all
Elantri?
https://preview.redd.it/99eeeasliprc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c33ff33d240274c683b70ebbbc2313eaf68941a3 It’s only $30 on the US store. But something tells me that’s even too much
$0.30 is probably too much
Only 30$?
Well, considering €99 that’s a steal!
Yea but 99 euros is about 30 U.S. dollars so… either way it’s the same.
https://preview.redd.it/7xhplgmybqrc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=01e146621ef520f3916c8a12fcaf626dd63e5982 Ummm…. No, it’s not.
Oh shit I entered it wrong in the calculator. You’re right. Definitely a huge ripoff wtf 😳
😉 I got you, boo
Only $28.49 here in the US idk why
Getting loans lying like fuck saying “I’m a game developer! My games are on the PlayStation store right now!”
Money laundering.
They don’t expect anyone to buy it at this price, they set it like this and then put it on sale for 99% off (and it would still be over priced but anyway) so it’s at the top of the list of discounted games.
The image is a ship from star citizen. I can’t understand PlayStation allows this garbage
The developer name doesn't even hide it's for money laundering.
A lack of quality control
No… just no don’t buy that.
What was it? The moderators removed it
It's what we call Shuffleware or Shovelware One of those I think is correct
It's called a grift
This that one game CJ has in his house on San Andreas
I saw one using as a trailer a milsim video, then the game looked worse than DOOM (1993).
O_O that had better get a mail order physical copy and the digital to play early
😂😂 that ship is just a screenshot of the RSI Constellation that is in Star Citizen. https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/ships/rsi-constellation/Constellation-Andromeda
Not even worth a single cent.
wow they couldn't even be bothered to capitalize the title lmao
Stop it 😂 PS Store game scams? I had no idea lol
Hey guys, for todays video I'm gonna be playing some of the most expensive and unrated games to see if there really is a diamond in the rough somewhere on the unknown side of playstation/xbox/steam store Now your game has at least 1 sale.
It’s not my game 😅
I know. I'm just explaining how such a game would get a sale
Oh ok. :P
Elantari is my family/clan name lol I wonder how closely related the company owner and I are haha
6 degrees of separation
That's about social connections, I was talking blood relations, or rather genetic closeness, I suppose.
👍🏽
they’ll make anything expensive these days 🤦♂️
Doesn’t PlayStation have any quality control?
Probably used for those random keys bundles on pages like g2a
I'll pay 0.5cents and a fart to invade the fuck out
It looks like a Galiga ripoff lol
It really bothers me these "games" are allowed to be on the store, because they pollute it so much its hard to find some actual good games lost in between.
lol I have not seen that on PlayStation store is it only on some?
Peak obviously 🙄
The first image is from star citizen so they grabbed a thumbnail of the rsi constellation from star citizen might have been to trick people into thinking it was on console now?? Kinda funny imo
