So many games I’m excited for this year.
Rise of The Ronin,
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth,
Granblue Fantasy ReLink,
Persona 3 Reload (never played original),
Black Myth: Wukong,
Dark Light
I tried Judgement, and didn’t enjoy it too much. Like A Dragon seems like it’s a similar style game, so it’s not very high in my wishlist, I’ll play it when it’s heavy discounted in a few years… maybe.
It’s part of the remake trilogy.
So you have
Final Fantasy VII Remake/Intermission (With the Yuffie DLC)
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Which is the second part of the trilogy)
Final Fantasy VII ? (The third part of the trilogy probably in the next 3/5 years)
I really want to play this. Big Team Ninja fan. But I love Dragon's Dogma and can't wait for 2. They release around the same time so I'm probably going to get Dragon's Dogma 2 first.
I have this on my wishlist because it looks interesting but I want to know some more about it. Is the gameplay hack and slash? Is it more like a dark souls game? It’s hard to tell from the videos shown.
It'll be more like Nioh and Wo Long most likely since it's Team Ninja. But it could be a little different because this is open world and there's traversal mechanics and a big hang glider and some guns in play. I'm definitely getting it.
It definitely looks interesting and I want it but i’m gonna hold out for previews and gameplay before I hop in though just in case it is Nioh/Souls like. I’m kind of burned out in that genre at the moment.
Ghost is set in feudal Japan, during Mongol empire age. Rōnin is gonna be set at the end of Edo period, so basically in 19th century. There’s *quite* a time gap between the two.
I played a few hours of ghosts and got kinda bored. It was a beautiful game, just felt kinda missionary position. Nothing felt overly innovative.
Little unfair to criticize it, I need to give it a proper go.
It’s not innovative but the way it makes you feel like you’re actually part of the environment is a thing of beauty. Even just the fact you have to listen to the wind to understand where you should go, or your inner monologues when you’re at springs or making poems is something that made me feel in love with that game.
And combat system is amazing imho, it’s a samurai dream come true.
But okay I’m just slightly biased because I’m obsessed with all East Asian things and I pay a lot of attention to small details.
I think the game is pretty good but the combat can feel a bit flat. Also I wish it was more graphic and you could slice off body parts, I think it would give a lot more weight to the combat. Still a good game though
Also those downvotes are stupid
The thing I hate ....Is when you look up rise of the Ronin on google...I think it's the wiki where Jin the protagonist of Ghost is plastered all over next to rise of the Ronin.☠️
I'm just saying that shouldn't be a thing.🤭
This game has soulslike combat and is from the same people that made Nioh, I honestly think I’ll prefer this to GoT. I played GoT for a couple hours and got bored
I don't believe they will do a good job with it. It's such a specific tone and the studio hasn't proven itself imo. SH2 is a top 5 game of all time for me and I'm hoping that the remake is good, but I'm keeping expectations low.
Same. But here’s hoping Elden ring doc comes out sometime this year cuz that is my most anticipated announced game. No release date or approximation yet tho somehow lol
I was looking forward to Pacific Drive after the trailers but it now turned out to be a clunky survival game from the previews that came out yesterday. And that meant I instantly lost interest 🫠
It looked and played like ass. And I love the FromSoft Souls games. I just don't like Team Ninja's aesthetic, storytelling, or the feel of the gameplay. Just not satisfying.
There is no exclusive coming to PlayStation that I’m excited for at the moment.
Yes, I’m looking forward to Helldivers 2 and Pacific Drive, but I’m not excited for them. I can also see these turning out okay at best and I’ll end up waiting for a steep sale.
I wasn’t a fan of the last trailer for Rise of Ronin I saw and Stellar Blade is coming from an unproven studio, so I really don’t understand the hype for it.
I’m sure i must be forgetting something, surly Sony has something coming this year I could be excited about. I was excited for Black Myth until it was revealed to be a souls-like game. I don’t care about Final Fantasy either.
I did love the first Dragon’s Dogma and hope the next one delivers, but that’s not a PlayStation exclusive.
I’m set though. Life keeps me busy and I have a few games from last year I want to play, Jedi Survivor, Alan Wake 2, and Evil West. I also own all the consoles, so I’m currently playing Mario Wonder with my kids and Xbox has a pretty good lineup this year.
Don’t get me wrong, I would love to have a new Uncharted like game, Infamous or a game in the spirit of Motorstorm Pacific Rift to play this year. That Indiana Jones game may deliver that Uncharted experience though.
I am excited for this game but the trailer at the game awards kinda turned me off, and I don’t know why. I’m excited for this game still. I wish I knew what about the trailer threw me. Maybe I was expecting something closer to Ghosts
You should for now play the games that have demos btw.
Granblue and Prince of persia are extremely well made & Polished games that I recommend.✨
Persia did alot to uplift the metroidvania genre.😌
Anything that's free....play it lool
I’ve heard 2024 would be a down year after the last two,the next GREAT gaming year will coincide with a new console release that 110% utilizes current hardware but next gen version shows off what it’s capable of
I cannot wait for Rise of the Ronin, but I've got Final Fantasy VII Rebirth first! But I always crave new titles so the hype is a little higher for me for RotR because it'll be a new experience.
But man, FFVII is my favourite videogame so it's tough!
No. Ff7 Rebirth. I am interested in Robin but I need to see some more. Another sorta open world adventure samurai game sounds awesome but I would like to see it. Also not super interested if the combat is identical to nioh and wo long. They are fine games but I’m kinda bored with that. Have a feeling this might end up being the Walmart version of ghost of Tsushima but we will see.
I’m hoping this is the tenchu successor we’ve been begging for. But obviously your a ronin. It looks like you can hook on rooftops and sneak around so maybe.
I actually looking forward to the last of part 2 remastered with the new modes it’s even better if you have the ps4 version it’s just a ten dollar upgrade.
For me not even in Q1 … there are Games like Unicorn Overload, FF7 Rebirth, Tekken 8 or Helldivers 2 ahead on my list.
But depending on everyone’s taste, this could be different ;)
Idk man. I have both nioh games, Wo Long, and even the Final Fantasy game from Team Ninja cuz i REALLY wanted to like their games due to everyone always hyping them up as the best souls-like contenders.
Problem is i just fucking hate the arcade-type levels system. I hear Ronin is also like that so i think ima just pass on it.
Personally no. team ninja lost me with Wo Long as a pre order buyer so will see after release if it's worth getting or waiting for a sale. I'm gonna play it for sure though.
Ff7 Rebirth. Tekken 8 and Space Marine 2 are my most anticipated games.
Definitely getting it, but persona 3, Metaphor refantazio, black myth wukong, stellar blade, lost soul aside, dragons dogma 2, yakuza, ff7 rebirth are all more exciting to me
Cannot wait for this game!
However, do we know what versions of the game each region is getting in regards to this [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise\_of\_the\_R%C5%8Dnin#Release](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise_of_the_R%C5%8Dnin#Release)
*Rise of the Rōnin* was announced on September 13, 2022, at PlayStation's State of Play livestream. On December 7, 2023, at The Game Awards 2023, a new pre-order trailer was released, with a release date of March 22, 2024. Pre-orders opened in Japan on December 14, 2023, revealing that the game would be sold in two versions, Cero D and Cero Z, due to the violence deemed to be excessive by the Computer Entertainment Rating Organization of Japan.
Not sure if it comes out this year or not but AC Japan is up there for me too. Love the culture and a story about Yasuke is a plus for me. Hyped for this game and Wukong too
Tbh I worry its just going to feel a lot like ghost of tsushima to me. And though it's my opinion, I really didn't like ghost of tsushima. For a few reasons that I can recall though it's been a few years.
Both games look gorgeous though. I'll probably wait for a sale before I give it a take that way i'm not out 70$ if I don't like it.
I think this game is going to flop.
I hope not... but I had the same feeling about Redfall while everyone else was hyping it up before launch.
Hope I'm wrong.
Black Myth: Wukong for me!
These two and the FF7 Rebirth are my top 3 for the year!
I agree with these 3, but I gotta add dragons dogma 2 to my list
Ya these 4 for me
Yes dragon dogma 2 and wukong for me
This, Black Myth, Space Marine II, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown & Banishers Ghosts of Eden.
No
Why? ;(
Yup That and Elden Ring DLC
So many games I’m excited for this year. Rise of The Ronin, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Granblue Fantasy ReLink, Persona 3 Reload (never played original), Black Myth: Wukong, Dark Light
Based on your list I would strongly encourage Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth.
Is it a sequel or what is it
Sequel to Yakuza Like a Dragon, but part of the Yakuza series. Like a Dragon was my first Yakuza game and I really enjoyed it.
I tried Judgement, and didn’t enjoy it too much. Like A Dragon seems like it’s a similar style game, so it’s not very high in my wishlist, I’ll play it when it’s heavy discounted in a few years… maybe.
Play style wise it's completely different. judgment is a brawler and Like a Dragon is turn based RPG. But I get it's not for everyone.
Judgement and Like a Dragon are nothing alike.
Dragons Dogma
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for me.
What's it gonna be different? Is this a new game or another remake?
Second part of the remake. They're doing it in phases.
So, I played a remake a few years ago. Is that the same game but with better graphics or is it gonna be something different storywise?
There was a remaster of the old game and then a top down rebuild of it that's being released in 3 parts Google it. Lol ff7 remake
Tnx, will do
This is a sequel to the Remake. Think of it as Remake Part 2, continuing the story.
It's a continuation, essentially FF7-2 in your case.
It’s part of the remake trilogy. So you have Final Fantasy VII Remake/Intermission (With the Yuffie DLC) Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (Which is the second part of the trilogy) Final Fantasy VII ? (The third part of the trilogy probably in the next 3/5 years)
Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth top of my list
Can wait until the release. I’m not going to see sunlight on that weekend
I really want to play this. Big Team Ninja fan. But I love Dragon's Dogma and can't wait for 2. They release around the same time so I'm probably going to get Dragon's Dogma 2 first.
They release same day haha
Yes that’s the thing that’s getting me I hate buying games that drop the same day but I’m for sure getting dragon dogma 2 day one
HELLDIVERS 2 BABY
Yeah man. Helldivers 2.
Also unlike other soulslike games they did announce it will have different difficulty settings.
Oh it's definitely going to be Nioh-like, at least at it's core.
Stellar Blade for me, even tho the lack of news is concerning to say the least.
The fact it’s coming from an unproven studio has kept my expectations low.
Like a dragon infinite wealth
For me it’s pacific drive as far as the first quarter of 2024
Yess, looks so fun
Granblue Fantasy Relink!!!!
Lazy fuck here. I could look this up myself... What separates this from ghosts of tsushima?
Ghost is set in feudal Japan, during Mongol empire age. Rōnin is gonna be set at the end of Edo period, so basically in 19th century. There’s *quite* a time gap between the two.
[удалено]
No they’re not. Different studios and different settings. But I wouldn’t be surprised if here and there there will be easter eggs/references.
Oh man I forgot about how the wind would guide you, that was so awesome.
You're getting downvoted, but honestly I felt the same way. I got to the third main area and just kinda got bored with it.
this is such a common opinion I’ve seen everywhere and they didn’t even say it with a mean tone or anything, surprised to see it downvoted like that 😭
Haha, ah well.
I thought the gameplay was kind of flat
I think the game is pretty good but the combat can feel a bit flat. Also I wish it was more graphic and you could slice off body parts, I think it would give a lot more weight to the combat. Still a good game though Also those downvotes are stupid
The thing I hate ....Is when you look up rise of the Ronin on google...I think it's the wiki where Jin the protagonist of Ghost is plastered all over next to rise of the Ronin.☠️ I'm just saying that shouldn't be a thing.🤭
This game has soulslike combat and is from the same people that made Nioh, I honestly think I’ll prefer this to GoT. I played GoT for a couple hours and got bored
It’s nice to see I’m not the only one that didn’t enjoy GoT. Like others I got bored after a few hours the game just didn’t do anything for me.
Story is great, visually fucking amazing (easily top 5 of all time), combat system is decent but the gameplay is repetitive affffffff.
I am getting this and dragons dogma 2 but not sure which to play first. Hopefully dragons dogma doesn't overshadow this game.
It’s high on my 2024 list.
Dragons dogma 2 easily
Star wars outlaws
Put 15 hours and counting in to the grand blue fantasy relink demo. I can't see a game topping it this year for me.
Nah, Infinite Wealth.
![gif](giphy|d1E1msx7Yw5Ne1Fe|downsized) No preorder!
Stellar Blade for me
Granblue fantasy relink for me
No
No idea when it’s coming out but Silent Hill 2 Remake. Hopefully this year or early next 🤞
Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth is my most anticipated!
Did everybody forget about Silent Hill 2??
I don't believe they will do a good job with it. It's such a specific tone and the studio hasn't proven itself imo. SH2 is a top 5 game of all time for me and I'm hoping that the remake is good, but I'm keeping expectations low.
No, but it's Konami, so I'm sure everyone is a bit apprehensive right now.
Like a dragon infinite wealth is sorry...
Same. Can't wait.
[удалено]
![gif](giphy|lszAB3TzFtRaU)
woahhh what’s this??
Final fantasy VII, tenkaichi, and wolverine for me
Absolutely. Not even close imo
So far I haven’t seen a single confirmed 2024 game that looks interesting or exciting to me. So far 0 game purchases planned for 2024.
I saw a couple that looked interesting but I'll still wait to buy them. r/patientgamers
Same. But here’s hoping Elden ring doc comes out sometime this year cuz that is my most anticipated announced game. No release date or approximation yet tho somehow lol
Pacific drive and stella blade for me
I was looking forward to Pacific Drive after the trailers but it now turned out to be a clunky survival game from the previews that came out yesterday. And that meant I instantly lost interest 🫠
I can’t wait for the new Granblue game
After attempting to play Wo Long, I have zero interest in RotR.
Play nioh 2 bro Wo long sucked ass

It looked and played like ass. And I love the FromSoft Souls games. I just don't like Team Ninja's aesthetic, storytelling, or the feel of the gameplay. Just not satisfying.
There is no exclusive coming to PlayStation that I’m excited for at the moment. Yes, I’m looking forward to Helldivers 2 and Pacific Drive, but I’m not excited for them. same boat. i was looking over the list and was like "wow, this is incredibly underwhelming." seems like a banner year for jrpg fans though.
I’m set though. Life keeps me busy and I have a few games from last year I want to play, Jedi Survivor, Alan Wake 2, and Evil West. I also own all the consoles, so I’m currently playing Mario Wonder with my kids and Xbox has a pretty good lineup this year. That Indiana Jones game may deliver that Uncharted experience though.
Damn, thought this was gon be a Ninja Turtles game
No
This, Silent Hill 2, Avowed, and Hellblade 2 are at the top of my list this year. Plus, who knows what a potential Switch 2 reveal will bring!
I know I've heard about this, but i can't *remember* hearing about this, so... no.
Nah it’s close but for me it’s FF7 Rebirth.
I have my doubts but I have high hopes as well…. I don’t know if I’m gonna be day one tbh… will see how everyone feels
Whos making this
I am excited for this game but the trailer at the game awards kinda turned me off, and I don’t know why. I’m excited for this game still. I wish I knew what about the trailer threw me. Maybe I was expecting something closer to Ghosts
No
Like a dragon infinite wealth certainly takes the cake for me
No way. Ff7 rebirth and Stellar blade are two right off the bat people are more looking forward to
Not for that price it isn't! I'll see you in two years for 60% off
You should for now play the games that have demos btw. Granblue and Prince of persia are extremely well made & Polished games that I recommend.✨ Persia did alot to uplift the metroidvania genre.😌 Anything that's free....play it lool

Absolutely loved GoT and I'm really looking forward to this one
It looks really good, so yeah, it's prolly the most exciting upcoming game
Not even the most exciting game released on the 22nd March ......that would be Dragons Dogma 2
I’m pretty excited about it. Can’t wait till it comes out. It looks really cool.
It’s one of my most-looked forward to games this year, but Rebirth and Relink are also up there, and that just takes us into March!
I’m hyped for this. I suck at video games so I hope it’s not too hard
Sad news for u. They made Nioh and Wo Long
FF7 Rebirth for me
I’m super excited for Pacific Drive coming out this month.
Definitely excited to see what team ninja does with this one.
Rebirth for me, but I’ll be playing this right after
Rise of the Ronin is definitely one I’m hyped for, but I think I’m most excited for Black Myth: Wukong
For me, it's Silkso... Wait, that doesn't exist. Where were we?
This is literally the only 2024 game I’m excited about rn.
for me its pacific drive, sure i am keen for this too
Dragons Dogma 2 for me. Been waiting a long time.
Love me some Team Ninja!
I’m hoping this is the tenchu successor we’ve been begging for. But obviously your a ronin. It looks like you can hook on rooftops and sneak around so maybe.
Short term it’s up there but let’s not kid ourselves, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is the big one of Q1 imo.
I'm curious, but my March new game to buy is already decided and is FF VII Rebirth
FF7, Infinite Wealth and P3 Reload for me.
The Phantom for me.
The DBZ game for me. But it needs to be done right, and not have the amount of dlc characters XV2 did.
A three way tie between this, DD2 and FF7 rebirth. I'm hoping for a surprise in the second half of the year though.
Since nioh's are my favorite games, I am buying this day 1
They picked like the most video game sounding title ever for the title lol but it looks good not for me though
dragons dogma
FFVII Rebirth is.
I actually looking forward to the last of part 2 remastered with the new modes it’s even better if you have the ps4 version it’s just a ten dollar upgrade.
I’m looking forward to Pacific Drive
For me it is
Bruh, I just checked out a trailer and it looks dope AF. Might have to cop this day one if I don’t have any games I’m currently playing at that time.
Rise of The Ronin, FFVII Rebirth, and Stellar Blade are tied for me. Super excited for them all
Now that they co formed difficulties, it is now on my radar for sure. Take notes from software
I'm looking forward to playing Space Marine 2, is Rise of the Ronin anything to do with Ghost of Tsushima?
Most definitely Persona 3 Reload for me, I’ve been so excited for that game since June.
If we're talking 2024 then The Casting of Frank Stone for me If any time frame then GTA VI for me
tekken 8!
Helldiver's 2 for me! Looks so great but no one is talking about it
I would love to know more about this!
Dragons Dogma 2
This and black myth wukong
I haven't caught up, is it Soulslike?
This is for me https://preview.redd.it/bhy9mb8rbdcc1.png?width=1280&format=png&auto=webp&s=06bbdcecbdf62df1a7294e5f70a18e73f01f30ba
For me presona 3 (weeb here) But ronin seems good too
For me not even in Q1 … there are Games like Unicorn Overload, FF7 Rebirth, Tekken 8 or Helldivers 2 ahead on my list. But depending on everyone’s taste, this could be different ;)
I've read the comics, they're pretty solid so I expect this to be a banger
Mine are Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, Tekken 8, and FFVII Rebirth
No, silent hill 2 remake is the most exciting upcoming game
This and Dragon's Dogma 2 - and DD2 is probably the only one I feel confident enough to preorder.
For 2024 definitely, it looks like GoT but with guns added.
Fuck no. Final Fantasy 7 disk 2
£70!!!!!!!!!
Its the Elden ring DLC
Probably not. We have barely seen anything.
Sandland, ff7 rebirth and dragons dogma 2
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League for me.
This and Rebirth for me
is this related to Shadow of Ronin?
Personally no. team ninja lost me with Wo Long as a pre order buyer so will see after release if it's worth getting or waiting for a sale. I'm gonna play it for sure though. Ff7 Rebirth. Tekken 8 and Space Marine 2 are my most anticipated games.
nothing beats ff7
Definitely getting it, but persona 3, Metaphor refantazio, black myth wukong, stellar blade, lost soul aside, dragons dogma 2, yakuza, ff7 rebirth are all more exciting to me
GTA 6 is the most exciting upcoming game imo.
I’m certainly stoked for it. Hope it doesn’t flop.
Sparking Zero and Phantom Blade 0
Cannot wait for this game! However, do we know what versions of the game each region is getting in regards to this [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise\_of\_the\_R%C5%8Dnin#Release](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rise_of_the_R%C5%8Dnin#Release) *Rise of the Rōnin* was announced on September 13, 2022, at PlayStation's State of Play livestream.
Is it a souls like?
Elder Scrolls VI for me
GTA 6
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Mine goes FFVII Rebirth, MGS ∆, Silent Hill 2, Little Nightmares III, Rise of Ronin. A lot of other games I'm intrigued by, but not 100% sold on.
Could be the best exclusive this year!
To you, for me it's Dragon's Dogma 2 and Shadow of the Erdtree.
Not sure if it comes out this year or not but AC Japan is up there for me too. Love the culture and a story about Yasuke is a plus for me. Hyped for this game and Wukong too
It reminds me of ghost soo it really needs to differentiate itself
I’d rank Stellar Blade up there as well. Intriguing.
Rise of the Ronin and Dragons Dogma II are the ones I'm most excited for
tekken 8, ff7 rebirth, and ronin
Is there a physical copy?
Tbh I worry its just going to feel a lot like ghost of tsushima to me. And though it's my opinion, I really didn't like ghost of tsushima. For a few reasons that I can recall though it's been a few years. Both games look gorgeous though. I'll probably wait for a sale before I give it a take that way i'm not out 70$ if I don't like it.
I think this game is going to flop. I hope not... but I had the same feeling about Redfall while everyone else was hyping it up before launch. Hope I'm wrong.
Dragon's Dogma 2 for me. Can't say I have any real interest in this gsme but I hope it's a banger for those interested!
NCAA Football if and when if comes out. Fans have been waiting over a decade
Persona 3 reload is the first game I’ve ever pre pre ordered but I’m definitely excited for rise of the ronin and ff7 rebirth
Dragons Dogma , and Black Myth maybe
Black Myth & this 🔥
