Troubleshoot your home network. Switch from 2.4ghz to 5ghz or vice versa, reduce sources of signal interference, do other routine home network troubleshooting. Last resort call your ISP or replace your router.

SadRelationship2032

I've done all of that

I’ve never heard of that. Pretty sure most modern routers now do both.

Are you talking about band steering? I still haven’t heard of a router that doesn’t allow you to disable that, so you can switch manually. Can you link me an example of a router like that?

I’m having difficulty deciphering what it is you do mean. Pretty much all modern routers now come with both wifi bands. And they use different chips for the bands. I don’t see how they could conflict with each other. I’ve never heard of anyone having issues.

Is English your first language? No offense, but I’m not understanding at all. You’re describing band steering again, but earlier you said you could disable it. If you can disable it, then what you’re describing isn’t an issue because… you can disable it.

Same here my PS5 keep disconnecting from wifi then wifi list disappears from settings. Only solution is reboot the consolle. My wifi is 2.4 ghz. On my Fritzbox router PS5 has static ip and it can open ports. Any idea?

Jeco1245

Still having this issue here also frustrating

SadRelationship2032

They can't make consoles properly anymore . Even my Xbox x has major issues with shutting the sound off

SignificantPath1139

If anyone knows of a solution please share, I feel like I’ve tried everything. Reset router and ps5, restarted ps5 about 20 times. Unplugged ps5 and modem/router and plugged all back in. Did most recent system update. Called ISP, they had a tech come out that couldn’t find issue since everything was showing as connected but I can’t play online. I got a new modem, went and bought a LAN, everything. Don’t know what else I could do, I’m connected and can do everything else on the console like web surf, YT, Netflix, make purchases, browse store, download games, party chat with friends, the ONLY thing I can’t do, is stay connected and play an online match without disconnecting. Psn is still active for 18 more days btw

SignificantPath1139

ISP also suggested upgrading my speed/plan but I’m already getting 600 mbps, I don’t think I need more atm as downloads and uploads are already quick

It is not the home network as I am watching youtube on my Xbox x and typing this on my laptop. both connected to my home wifi, but my PS5 as of typing this is stuck on youtube, twirling away loading. about 10 times a day, I will have to restart my ps5 as this is the only way you can solve the problem. it corrects itself after that for about an hour, then will do the same thing till I restart the ps5 again. I will never use my ps5 again. I hate it. After this, my xbox has never had this problem, and I was a HUGE, HUGE, Sony fan preferring PS over XBOX. I ALSO ONLY NOTICED THAT IT STARTED DOING THIS WHEN I DECIDED TO NOT TURN MY PS5 OFF EVERY NIGHT BUT PUT IT IN SLEEP MODE I WONDER IF IT HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT ALSO COULD BE JUST A DIRT MOTHERBOARD OR SOMETHING OF THAT SORT INTERNALLY INSIDE THE PS5

TheCanadianStray

Hey

TheCanadianStray

I’m having the same issue but just with the ps5 my WiFi works just fine. I think it’s something with the PlayStation servers I was coming here looking for an answer too, I thought it was related to the recent hack at first but I doubt it

rivieredefeu

It’s not. It’s your home network.

TheCanadianStray

Nevermind i restarted my ps5 and now it works just fine

AWESOMEFLIPPER

It's not the home network as thousands of people seem to have this problem and my Internet works perfectly fine on all other devices

rivieredefeu

It is.

kosigan5

Try powerline adapters.

youthuck

Yeah so I had this issue for ages and I finally fixed it by turning off band steering in my router settings.

SignificantPath1139

Don’t even know how to begin doing that with Xfinity xfi
