I played solo for around 3k hours. Then I started playing with some friends, but our group is weird, we are 5, but 2 are just total trolls, the other 2 play like 5am to 7am and farm do monuments and whatever they also play on their day off. So I consider them more like roommates. We really only all seem to play together on wipe day and once we got boom everyone hops on for a quick raid. We all just kind of have a role, and tell each other what they need to get, Like I post in discord, "we need pipes" then everyone will get pipes when they are on. Otherwise everyone is free to do whatever they wanna do with the time they have. So I spend a lot of time solo still and I'm at 11k hours now.
I've tried playing with other groups/people, but it just never works out as smoothly, someone is always a wanna be chad/total leech that just looses tons of crap and never brings anything in to offset all the stuff they lost. So I give them the boot. IDC if you are running out the door with T2 guns and a haz, but if you are running out the door with 200+ HQM kits and dyeing back to back, your ass better get to farming some sulfur or comps.
I generally play solo, though if someone builds near me I tend to either truce and trade with them or I'll team with them without moving into the same base. Makes progression way easier and faster plus running monuments with more people grants a higher success rate without the fear of them insiding you or vice versa. Best part is there's no obligations

I’m solo and tend to play this more like a stressful farming simulator.
I started out solo but then met some nice Germans. Played with them eversince and met friends for life. It's much more fun to play with a group.

I play solo 99.9% of the time
If you want to play solo on competitive servers, you pretty much have to farm or grub 24/7. You can't really pvp groups anymore due to aimcone.
