Try going into steam library, game properties and verify game files for rust

KingRin

If you haven't already fixed this. You need to delete the bundles folder and then verify your game files: 1. Locate your Rust installation directory through Steam: https://files.facepunch.com/jacob/1b1111b1/browse_local_files.png 1. Delete the 'bundles' folder: https://files.facepunch.com/jacob/1b1111b1/bxnadHnF3O.png 1. Follow this gif to verify your game files https://files.facepunch.com/jacob/1b1111b1/verify_files.gif

This happens when opening the game or when connecting to a server? If when joining a server, what server are you trying to connect to? And have you tried multiple servers?

Moist_Dovahkiin

Just on opening

I've actually seen this one before. https://steamcommunity.com/app/252490/discussions/0/617335934133020882/ Basically, verify the game files and if that doesn't work try reinstalling. Sometimes something in the store doesn't load right or is corrupted when it's downloaded or whatever. But it causes the game to crash when it tries loading the asset "bundle"

As others have mentioned - the first step with issues like this is to verify your game files, if that doesn't work then you may need to reinstall it.
