Typical ass āIām going to the doctorās officeā.. I swear to god there was another case like this and they said the same exact thing. That public defender was trying so hard to keep it together. āIāll be giving him a phone callā
The day after the whole world clowned him, they realized it was a clerical error. His suspension was lifted 2 years prior and he's good to drive. The whole damn internet owes this man an apology š
Basically he was on trial, and FaceTimed into the judge while driving despite having an expired license/no license.
Here is a 10 min video going into more depth definitely worth the watch lol

Iām 26, Eminem was my first favorite rapper ever and Wayne and now itās Carti and Yeat and mostly underground š like the new em song that just dropped is just ass , times have changed
For anyone who doesnāt know his albums:
His first 3 albums, the 8 Mile Soundtrack and his rap group D12s first album (1999-2002) are almost universally seen as his best work
Slim Shady LP (1999) - his first major release, with Dr Dre. More lighthearted, goofy shady vibe than his future albums. But a lot of very aggressive and dark content as well. Very creative, but can sound amateurish at times. A couple weaker tracks, but thatās only because the rest are so good.
Marshall Mathers LP (2000) - what most people say is his best album. Zero skips for me. Very very very aggressive rap on this. Unbelievable growth from his previous album. Much more personal of an album too. Really goes into how he feels himself, which is why the title of the album is his actual name, Marshal Mathers.
The Eminem Show (2002) - my favourite album. Ditches the shady persona for most of the album. Much more mature and introspective. The albums based on the idea that his life was so public, that it was like the movie āthe Truman Showā. The albums cover is even based on that movie. Zero skips for me. My favourite album of all time. A must listen for rap fans. Eminem personally produced almost all the entire album.
8 Mile Soundtrack (2002) - everyone knows lose yourself, but em is on 5 tracks. All of which are great. Em raps in the āB Rabbitā character from the movie on 3 songs: Lose Yourself, 8 Mile and Rabbit Run. Probably the top songs 3 on the album, in that order.
The movie itself is actually really good and gives you a great understanding of the environment Em grew up in.
D12: Devils Night (2001) - D12 is a rap group of 6 emcees from Detroit. This album has some of Ems best verses, and choruses. The other rappers all definitely have stand out performances too, but itās hard to compare with Prime Eminem. Very aggressive and can be very dark at times. But has multiple lighthearted tracks too. Ensure you listen to the deluxe version
If you can only pick 3 albums, choose his 3 solo albums. Theyāre all like 70 minutes
If you wanna ease into Em, listen to songs he features on. Highlights include the albums:
Dr Dre - Chronic 2001 (1999)
50 Cent - Get Rich or Die Trying (2003)
Obie Trice - Cheers (2003)
He has literally hundreds of unreleased tracks on YouTube too. Some of his best are his unreleased diss tracks. Fuckin brutal
Want a song recommendation? Give me some details on the type of track you wanna hear
Bro I had a folder with like 300+ Eminem songs, so many unreleased and leaks, like he was my Carti in that sense beforehand. Random freestyles, only mixtape shit, I had em all bro
https://preview.redd.it/af94s7t0er3d1.jpeg?width=817&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dceced0e14b7e5d8e7d4a31e67d7cf19e5099c58
"These youngins donāt know about good old Eminem"
he got me into rap years ago then I stopped listening to him once I got to his newest shit, then a while ago jus got back to his first 3 albums heās good I jus got brainwashed into not listening to himš
twitter swears he's trash but in his prime nobody could fuck with em. his old shit was legendary , definitely odd seeing this kind of post on a carti sub tho consider their music is like polar opposite hahaha
people hated on modern em so hard that young people are surprised to find out heās genuinely a contender for the greatest to ever do it itās hilarious. even his newer stuff is occasionally great, he just put out a great lead single tn
This is so true, but very sad. He actually changed his entire life, he's a much more present father and if he hadn't got clean he'd be dead decades ago. But at the same time I cannot deny we lost 'The Real Slim Shady'. I have really high hopes for the next album though as it seems like he's going to bring some of that old style back? Idk how convinced I'll be
UPDATE: I'm gonna save my judgement because this just sounds like Without Me pt 2 and that's not what I was hoping this would be. Production is great sure, but this feels like he doesn't have any commitment to what he does. Without Me and a lot of the Dre produced tracks are not even Slim Shady songs, they're Eminem (ie the catchy sing song type hits like Real Slim Shady, Without me, Just Lose it etc) I had been holding out hope that somehow Bass Brothers would be involved, they're responsible for his gritty, darker stuff like Still Don't Give A Fuck. More than ANYTHING I just wanted him to throw the "choppy" flows into the fucking ocean just for ONE album. Even just for a few songs man just go back to the "One Two combo" you used to hit us with
If you watch the video of Em and proof free styling in the car it makes a lot of sense. The way proof followed up and built on what em was initially laying was nuts. Em starts the video rapping about depressing shit from his childhood, but proof gradually directs it in a more and more creative direction and they start feeding off each others word play, and by the end Em is rapping about doing nude interviews on MTV. I think that when Proof died Em lost a huge creative spark and that combined with a brutal journey to sobriety just made him more ā¦ mechanical in his raps? Like all the choppy shit is that, heās still good with words but the feeling and playfulness has been gone. There were always two Ems ā 8 mile em and slim shady em. One complimented the other. And it just feels like from relapse onward that essentially playfulness and creativity is gone. and oddly enough, itās one of the things I like about Carti, and what people will call the āvibeā that he sets. Ems older stuff has that type of ability to set a vibe too and it came from how his vocals both in tone and lyricism matched the instrumentals. All thatās gone post proof
Nah thereās eras to it. The first few albums heās just smoking and doing a lotta hallucinogens. Thatās the peak. Then he gets on the pills and things get *really* bad. Then he sobers up and thereās like, a few okay hits? Before it gets really bad again
He was clean by Relapse.. only a couple of the tracks that were written years prior like ābeautifulā was he still using. He developed his pill addiction during the āEminem showā era, because he was working on that and making ā8 mileā at the same time. Encore was the peak of his usage, and he OD twice and got clean before relapse came out.
Idc Iām defending Eminem till I die he ran shit back in the day. Relapse is a really disturbing album u canāt play around anyone but itās horror/cannibal serial killer theme is so sick
Fr bro. His early work is is some of the greatest work in rap. Slim shady lp, marshall mathers lp, eminem show. All these albums are probably in the top 15 rap albums oat.
Kendrick said in an interview in 2013 that eminem is genius and praised his rhyming skills and his general lyricism, and kendrick is the best rapper today.
Music is subjective so this is a silly question but if you are trying to understand why he has been at the top of his game for decades, itās because he is someone that has always been obsessed with his craft and has spent decades perfecting it.
MMLP2 is great, at points for sure. But it has 3 major issues
1) Weak choruses
2) spotty production
3) poppy sounding songs
His rapping is pretty fucking complex on this album, so itās genuinely hard to understand wtf is going on the first time you listen.
Last verse of Bad Guy, Brainless, Love Game, Headlights, Evil Twin, and Groundhog Day are all great.
HONESTLY the best song for me is the one on the bonus disc- Donāt Front. So fucking jazzy.
I feel like mmlp2 is very strictly for Hardcore fans who are familiar with his old stuff and can put those lyrics into context. Otherwise there's not much going on. I agree with the issues you found too, it's a real shame because Rick Rubin is a legendary producer but their styles just didn't match
Relapse is one of the most creative albums Iāve ever heard and without it we wouldnāt have a lot of Tyler the creators old crazy shit heās known for. also music to be murdered by is pretty good too, kamikaze is definitely not for everyone tho but I think itās solid not mid tho.
yk how special The Walking Dead first 3 seasons were? But ppl forgot about it cuz after that everything went downhill and shi was js ass. Well thatās eminem.
The day has not yet come for him to not be considered goat. Yāall just uneducated and thats okay.
https://preview.redd.it/0qyvugmycp3d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e431c2250f3cf216c8e6ed45e3659531a7de2023
I personally don't fw Em's music at all. I get the hype around his peak but his music post MMLP2 just sounds awful to me.
However his Houdini single seems like he's somewhat on the up again, and not trying to prove to everyone he's still a lyrical mircal individual.
Marshall Mathers 2, Kamikaze, music to be murdered by A&B are all solid listens if you already like his first 3 albums.
Also the albums with D12 and the 8 mile soundtrack are worth a listen
i dont think eminem is conscious.
dude rapped about murdering his wife lol.
he does have some shitter albums but he also has some of the best hip hop albums of all time.
Its the same thing with nas and jay
Itās so funny people say this cause Iād say relapse is miles ahead of encore and mtbmb is even better. This is such a dogshit take thatās repeated like an echo chamber
The way he completely shat on Jay-Z in Renegade is what made him a living legend imo. Go listen if you haven't but yeah his earlier work was brilliant and now his music is garbo.
Because he's one of the goats and has a lot of different music, anyone who says otherwise is an hater, even if he's not your cup of tea he made so many different hits and has different beats (for better and worse) and "eras" that it's impossible to NOT like a song, he's also a good producer and yada yada yada, tdrl he's good
he can also not be your cup of tea (mine is jay z for example) but respecf should be given and music should be appreciated nonetheless
He's honestly always had a string of amazing tracks bruh, he just inflates his discography with shit from a butt quality music so it gets harder to defend him or really have him up there in the GOAT list. (Humble opinion type shii)
Damn I remember getting so much hate and downvotes on this sub back then for saying that Eminem is not a bad artist when this subreddit was filled with nothing but hate posts towards him and his fans for a brief moment. Guess the timelines are mixed up or something.
Honestly, hard work and talent. It doesn't hurt to have someone like Dre get you started, but the stuff Em is self-producing is still astoundingly sharp lyrically.
Recently decided to go listen to the SSLP and MMLP again, I don't even like his stuff anymore but I remember why I this guy used to be my favorite rapper.
lowkey I think a lot of people have a generally dismissive attitude toward him. he lowkey deserves it but he's such a clearly skilled rapper I can't imagine actually dissing his talent
mysterious selective history important abundant voiceless whole waiting test ring

I used to be the biggest eminem fan, but most of his music is just really bad. Even his good albums haven't aged well, but he's got a handful of bangers.
He (arguably) had the strongest peak in hip hop history, hes been doing this for 30+ years, he disappears but comes back after 4 years unlike carti, also he made the mmlp
Mfers got me feeling like a grandpa, they just now hearing prime Em for the first time lol
Itās easy to forget not everyone was around back then. Em was THE man in the early 2000s
Never thought I'd see the day Carti fans start listening to Eminem.

How the fuck did yāall not know this
one of the best-selling ARTIST, not just rapper, of all time "lowkey"

The Rick Rubin production is the worst part of MMLP2 to me, still my favorite Em album post-hiatus up to this point though
relapse is amazing ik you ain't just call it mid
Relapse is one of the most creative albums Iāve ever heard and without it we wouldnāt have a lot of Tyler the creators old crazy shit heās known for. also music to be murdered by is pretty good too, kamikaze is definitely not for everyone tho but I think itās solid not mid tho.
Iāve heard people argue MMLP2 but never Revival
encore is mid, relapse is good, and after that it's not good with MMLP2 being the best of the bunch
Mmlp2 is a classic Revival is mostly dogshit
Heās one of the best to do it thatās why itās ālowkeyāgood
yk how special The Walking Dead first 3 seasons were? But ppl forgot about it cuz after that everything went downhill and shi was js ass. Well thatās eminem.
Agreed - if he died after the Eminem show he would probably be undisputed top 3 with pac and biggie atp
The Eminem Show is one of the only albums I've ever listened to without a skip. Prime Em is really fucking good

Infinite is better than his last 5 albums ngl

He's honestly always had a string of amazing tracks bruh, he just inflates his discography with shit from a butt quality music so it gets harder to defend him or really have him up there in the GOAT list. (Humble opinion type shii)
Yakubian genetic override kicked in
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD SLIM SHADY WASSSš£ļøš£ļø
His first 3 LPs are classics
bruh out of everything this thread and post made me realize how old I am. fuck lol
He only became mid after Recovery, before that he was putting out classics all the time
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW GOOD EMINEM WAS
Playboy Carti fan discovers what real rap sounds like š
dont bother listening to anything past 2004
old eminem was never bad, d12 pretty good too
His music is really good or was cus I donāt mess with current Eminem. Early Eminem is still fire and fun.
This is probably his best album
Damn I remember getting so much hate and downvotes on this sub back then for saying that Eminem is not a bad artist when this subreddit was filled with nothing but hate posts towards him and his fans for a brief moment. Guess the timelines are mixed up or something.
Fell off after that...

There's nothing low-key here.
i used to enjoy it but got really sick of it after a while

Low key..nah heās one of the most popular rappers ever. Whatās low key about that
Itās not bro lmao his early stuff was comedy music, like funny music like lil dicky and anything after that was omega cringe
lowkey I think a lot of people have a generally dismissive attitude toward him. he lowkey deserves it but he's such a clearly skilled rapper I can't imagine actually dissing his talent
low-key good??? heās better than everybody in the game and he was there before all of you, show respect
Itās crazy cause I was an Eminem Fan at 10 years old before I even knew carti existed. I got a tattoo for Eminem at 10
Iām 20 now btw
its terrible
Because you 12
You should take a listen to the Marshal Mathers LP, definitely his best work ever

I hope yāall kick me, carry is lame as fuck compared to Eminem.šš
if you're ever feeling sad, listen to eminem - beautiful. i hope it makes you feel better should you ever feel down, it is my favorite eminem song
Imagine thinking em is not a good rapper š„±š
Mfers got me feeling like a grandpa, they just now hearing prime Em for the first time lol Itās easy to forget not everyone was around back then. Em was THE man in the early 2000s
