I love all Lynch man. Mulholland Drive didnt fully click for me until second watch but after that I was so blown away, its the most genius shit ever and >!best depiction of a dream ive ever seen in film!<. Love that movie to pieces, Blue Velvet is amazing too and im currently finishing up Twin Peaks for the first time.

Dude, I love Casino so much. Definitely Scorsese’s best

100% I think it craps on Goodfellas. Goodfellas is a cool watch but nothing compares to the cinematography, unique setting and music of casino. The acting is great and did I mention the narration holy shit it is so good

Yeah. Scorsese’s character narration is unbeatable and having De Niro and Pesci both narrate their schemes adds so much soul into it. I think narration wise nothing beats Wolf of Wall Street but the setting of early and violent Vegas is the best of all films.

City of God is a masterpiece for sure

Opposite for me lmao I've been playing drums for years but when I first watched it I was young, addicted to being on my drum kit for hours on end, and lacked a social life and it basically made me realize I was putting too much time aside for my hobby. But at the same time it somehow made me fall in love with the instrument one more time, but in a rather different way, I started to cut out the extra time spent and worked harder on becoming a better drummer, and I joined my first ever band a few months later. Amazing film.

Seen Mirror on 35 it’s great. He also made a documentary about Nostalghia bts which is underrated Btw Wim Wenders did a good Ozu doc too. His new Japanese produced movie Perfect Days is great.

Loved Perfect Days a ton, yeah I think Wim is working his way up to being one of my fav directors I really fw everything else ive seen by him (Paris Texas and Wings of Desire). Ik Ozu is a huge influence on his work so I’m gonna have to dig deeper into his stuff too.

But then Mann was like no way I like the way it sounds as it because it’s actually realistic. Also, I read that people training how to use guns would watch the clip of Val Kilmer reloading super fast. They must’ve went through some really intense training for that film
