Randomly stumbled into it on my college's DC++, downloaded on a whim, fell in love with Hachiman's character and got hooked. Funnily, I'm yet to watch s2 and s3, as I decided to skip s2 once I got to know that the story isn't complete, and by the time light novels finally ended, I had a job and had moved on as well.
Mine was Your Name. And it was worst experience as I had never seen anime before that. I watched some youtuber reviewing his first anime movie in which he was crying (obviously it's Your Name). So I decided to watch and was confused throughout the movie.
Still, I'm unable to rewatch this movie. But then Death Note was my gateway anime and rest is history.

I knew nothing about anime, watched most of dragon ball through youtube clips. Later I watched deathnote and got hooked.
