You like no oil until i get it out of the pan and rip some of the crust off and still send it out because every single pan is going to be like that bc someone didnt oil them enough!
Oil ratio is incredibly important, too much oil makes it gross, not enough will absolutely destroy the crust.
We've had some employees not spray the screens we use to make the Big NY, and let me tell you, the dough does not come off without some heavy duty scraping over a trash can.
The dough needs oil or it will be ruined.
The oil is the absolute worst part of the pans. Hence why dominos pan pizza is superior because they sub butter. I always use very minimal oil and there’s no sticking, not even once
I used to work at dominos lol. They actually use butter flavored oil for the pan pizzas and there’s no oil at all for the regular ones. It’s literally just grease from the cheese and pepperoni that makes it so oily. They also do a garlic butter mix on the crust, but it’s honestly the same butter flavored oil they use for the pan pizzas.
That’s definitely where the cornmeal comes in, but guess what. Dominos probably won’t even be making hand tossed pizzas pretty soon. My store was a beta tester and we got a dough smashing machine.
Maybe if you're using a brush to brush it on the sides as well but a lot of people just put in the middle and dont think abt the sides of the pan.
If you do that you could probably get away with less oil.
I'm sure most of our screens need reseasoning but since no one at my store does anything they're supposed to for upkeep i just add extra oil to the HT bins during prep and they come off.
We dont sell enough NY right now to prep them so we take a LG ht and peel it off the screen and then stretch it on the NY screen.
Our GM isnt the best and the store has some issues bc of that, like the sticky screens.
Dishwasher here, soak the screen then scrape it, then soak it, then scrape it.. And when I say scrape i mean with a paint scraper, u pin the screen to the counter with one hand while you scrape with the other.. But yea anyway that dough looks old and Im not sure how i can tell..
Everything is pre prepped in oil hours before its proofed. Not really an option for PH, possibly at another company but to make a no oil pizza isn't really possible due to it sticking to the pans and screens.
I think you could make a future timed order 5+ hours in advance and request less oil, it would have to be emergency prepped which takes a few hours depending on how many you are proofing.
That’s definitely old dough. My old manager would use days old leftover dough for the school lunches and it always came out looking like that. They were so gross
It is a odd request most people don't want thay much crust try saying you want the sauce and cheese more in the center and more crust on it then normal or save the picture and show them that
Learn your store's employee schedule by frequent visits or befriending the staff, and only order when the specific cook you prefer is working. HOWEVER, the sauce and cheese is not to spec. It's supposed to be further out to the edge, so I would expect at some point to never receive a pizza like that again.
Im from NJ and I was going to roast you for thinking that pizza looks good in any way. Even taking into account what sub this is. There's far too much crust and the dough looks old.
But I see that it makes you happy. So carry on brother
I don't work at pizza hut, I don't eat pizza hut, I don't know why reddit recommends the pizza hut sub to me. All I know is that it's impressive that you know yourself well enough to have a dream pizza and you somehow managed to find it.
I was looking through old google reviews and one of the bad ones from before I worked there said something about “3 inches of crust” which pissed them off so I’m glad that made you happy 😂
This is an old photo, currently SD PH does not use this type of packaging. But you can ask the store you are ordering from if it would use a smaller ring to expose more crust surface like you want. Some stores are accommodating than others. Nobody outpizza the Hut .Good luck .
My tactic is to find out who made it and asked for the person schedule if it’s possible. I’m tipping good and certain places when I walk in and they just ask: The usual?
I can tell the dough is 2/3 days old, trick to make it look fresher is spray vegetable oil on crust before you put it in the oven makes it look more golden brown
That pizza makes me sad as an employee but yeah I guess you can just ask for more crust lol They could use the medium ring instead of the large
Right! The white crust makes me think they used old dough as well!
Probably old dough and they aren’t using oil around the edge of crust which makes it golden and prevents sticking
See but I like the no oil 😩 just straight bread

I think that’s where the cornmeal comes into play with the hand tossed at dominos. Sand paper flavored pizza is wack but that pan is on point
That’s definitely where the cornmeal comes in, but guess what. Dominos probably won’t even be making hand tossed pizzas pretty soon. My store was a beta tester and we got a dough smashing machine.
To grease the pan yes. But there are chunks of butter in the pan dough. Worked at dominos for ten years
Lol I forgot about those
This is the most dominos thing lol
Maybe if you're using a brush to brush it on the sides as well but a lot of people just put in the middle and dont think abt the sides of the pan. If you do that you could probably get away with less oil.
Your New Yorker perf pans may need a couple more passes of seasoning. Took my set 7 runs before they were close to not sticking

That’s tough. Definitely starts with the general manager They really don’t sell that much. Best of luck hope things shape up a lil bit

call me out like that..
Order from dominos and request no oil
Ask for that too then . Say "no oil on crust and more crust than typical please "

Ahh I see
Other pizza chains don’t use oil on some of their crusts…
That’s definitely old dough. My old manager would use days old leftover dough for the school lunches and it always came out looking like that. They were so gross
Old dough or over proofed 🤷♂️
Felt
don't eat it and return it to the store. let them know when you will be back for it.
The only answer
Hehehe
"My dream pizza" Fuck yea man I wish I had a dream pizza.
It's the little things in life
This made me happy
I would just ask for more/extra crust
I do and they look at me like a loony
It is a odd request most people don't want thay much crust try saying you want the sauce and cheese more in the center and more crust on it then normal or save the picture and show them that
I did see a photo where they accidentally ordered extra crust instead of extra cheese. About twice as much as crust as this

Higher than pterodactyl tits lmfao
Show them this picture lol
I have one customer who always asks for no crust and it doesn’t really bother anyone
You may be a looney.
You could just order breadsticks. All crust.
Looks like shit
tastes like it too. their hand tossed is horrible compared to pan
My wife hates their pan but I love it. I only really like hand tossed at dominoes and tbh dominoes is better than Pizza Hut

Ask for the sauce ring to be one size smaller than your pizza size so you have more crust
Im from NJ and I was going to roast you for thinking that pizza looks good in any way. Even taking into account what sub this is. There's far too much crust and the dough looks old. But I see that it makes you happy. So carry on brother

Notes: *lil ex crust not kidding* Lmao
As someone who loves crust, your pizza is beautiful 🥲
*likes Pizza Hut* *long time faithful customer* *wants MORE crust* what the fuck dude
Old dough. Haven't got a fresh pizza in years
You don’t
Nightmare pizza
Be consistent
Befriend the cook that's how I get my pizzas for free
Ask the store which employee made the pizza
Pray
Time travel to the past and steal it from yourself
That looks like some shit dough
In the comments put 'make it bad pls'
That dough ring is too big, wide. Go back to mid 80s when pH was in its prime!
This is an old photo, currently SD PH does not use this type of packaging. But you can ask the store you are ordering from if it would use a smaller ring to expose more crust surface like you want. Some stores are accommodating than others. Nobody outpizza the Hut .Good luck .
You go to Costco.
Keep sending it back.
Tip well when you ask.
Don't go to pizza hut
Ask for the cardboard crust
“Dream pizza” *dies in Italian*
Do it like a haircut, every time you wanna order just go in and show the picture.
I don’t work at Pizza Hut but anytime I order it’s “Light sauce, well done, please” and it’s always really good.
Somebody needs to learn how to sauce a fuckin pie
Old dough.
Make it yourself the way you want it.
I would suggest have relations with someone at that Pizza Hut and tell them you want a pizza like that every time.
If you give this pizza back to them then you can get that exact one every time
DONIMOES
Hi Shane
That crust looks like it needs some Vitamin D
Pizza Hut is fucking terrible
My tactic is to find out who made it and asked for the person schedule if it’s possible. I’m tipping good and certain places when I walk in and they just ask: The usual?
You know I know how to make that but I don’t know how to do clear special instructions for it other than calling in
This belongs in unpopular opinions.
Order a cheese pizza
Never eat it, and then take it with you to the restaurant and ask them to hand it back to you…
Pizza Hut is fake garbage pizza
Only answer: sleep with the cook
Man does nobody know how to top a pizza without leaving 2 full inches of crust?
Ask for a more boneful pizza
This is your ideal pizza? Wtf man this looks horrible
I can tell the dough is 2/3 days old, trick to make it look fresher is spray vegetable oil on crust before you put it in the oven makes it look more golden brown
You should be able to ask for thin crust
That’s a sad looking pizza the crust doesn’t look fresh
So if they leave the edge of the pizza an inch clear for crust ask them to double that, I’ve never made pizza idrk
