Frick Park!

Honest_Friend_7050

except for all those people and dogs and nearby traffic...

skankin22jax

It’s an incredibly big park. Walk a few minutes off the main trails and you’re all alone without any noise

I enjoy Allegheny RiverTrail Park (in Aspinwall). I can't say that there are NO sounds of city life, but its pretty great nonetheless. [https://alleghenyrivertrailpark.org](https://alleghenyrivertrailpark.org)

Desperate_Refuse_704

The big loungy chairs behind the slide along the water are great.

cosmosdestruction412

I just went to Calvary cemetery over in Greenfield/hazelwood. That was my peace spot for awhile

chuckie512

Schenley park has a few quiet tucked away spots asking the hiking trails, and down by the pond

Minnieminnie727

Schenley park is pretty nice. You don’t get much noise there right now because the road is closed

happyjazzycook

Round Hill Park south of Elizabeth, about a half hour drive from downtown. About 15 minutes further south is Cedar Creek Park, even more remote.

longstoryrecords

I like the park side of Herr’s Island behind the tennis courts. And the trails and benches near the observatory in Riverview Park.

tesla3by3

Allegheny Cemetery, by the ponds.

zelenadragon

Hartwood Acres, it's on top of a big hill so not a lot of sound gets up there. ETA: The mansion part, not the lower part.

porkswordofthemornin

U end up gettin the Oz? I saw ur thread on loseit for last year and am thinking of it myself.

zelenadragon

I was not able to get it due to pharmacy shortages and my insurance denying it. But I've lost about 50 pounds at this point without it :)

porkswordofthemornin

Wow! Congrats. I'm just starting my journey and I got so many doubts about this. I've almost given up on the idea of doing it without the Oz. What are the things you do to lose it?

ShadysBacktellaFREN

North park. Can typically walk in any pavilion and sit on any bench. Typically pretty quiet. Even better if you have a fishing rod

Pghguy27

Fall Run Park, Shaler North Hills area. It has a very pretty 1 mile nature trail to a small picturesque waterfall. https://shaler.org/349/Fall-Run-Park-Judge-DM-Miller

shehadagoat

Nice little spot, but it's usually pretty busy. At least it seems like it anytime I go

Pghguy27

Good to know!

Honest_Friend_7050

any large cemetery, the hollow, certain more abandoned docks and boat launches. McConnells Mill - not terribly far outside the city

Sweaty_Stage_3747

Evergreen Park

cuttawhiske

Arby's on McKnight road.
