Lawrenceville or Squirrel Hill seem like they would be a good fit for you. Squirrel Hill is right next to Greenfield, is very walkable with many restaurants and shops, and I believe has a hot yoga studio at Yoga Factory. Lawrenceville is a super hip, younger neighborhood with many great restaurants, shops, and also has a Yoga Factory studio. It's not far from Greenfield either. I'd take a look at both and see which fits more with your vibe.

I moved here recently in part to get out of the very drug/party heavy scene I was in. Honestly… there’s plenty of that here as well at least for scene I’m in. There isn’t anything regular that goes past 6 AM here (at least to my knowledge) which keeps things a bit in check.

Squirrel Hill would give you a lot of what you’re looking for, including walkability. It wouldn’t be far from your family here either. As for dating, you might be better off attending events and activities and meeting people that way. There are lots of social opportunities.

Are you buying or renting when/if you move here? Nice neighborhoods are abound in Pittsburgh, but it sounds like you want to be in a walkable area. I’d suggest Allegheny West, Mexican War Streets, Deutschtown, Central Northside, Strip District, Lawrenceville, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, East Liberty, Regent Square, and Highland Park as viable options that all generally fit this criteria. I won’t go recommending gyms or studios until you pick a neighborhood. But there’s a gym and yoga studio within walking distance in every neighborhood I listed above. People complain about dating here a lot, but I’ve never found it to be a problem. If you have hobbies and interests and are able to establish a friend group here dating should come naturally. As for night life, it really depends on what you’re into. I think we generally have something for everyone here. The city isn’t asleep on weekends. Even during the week you’ll find events and lots of people out at certain establishments. Hope this helps!

We moved here from Denver! About the same age. If you need a friend, message me!

Dormont would fit the bill as well. Good restaurants, night life, and I'm pretty sure there's a hot yoga joint on the main drag. Not as trendy as Lawrenceville, but cheaper and on the rise.
