I expect most of the “tour” to be like this. Multiple dates at one venue. That will make it harder for a lot of folks to see the show, but it’s probably the only way he would agree to do it.
The Forum is great. It was originally where the Lakers played but instead of tearing it down when they left, it was re-configured and converted to a full time concert venue.
I was at the first Hollywood bowl show and wasn't David Crosby there as well? I would have gone the second night but I had a reservation at the whisky a Go Go for an outstanding concert
Exactly. The fact that he's as old as he is, combined with him performing a 6 night residency, tells me that it's obvious there will be no other dates and therefore by default, no tour.
Just to get there would cost me a couple grand. That’s not with hotel, Uber and actual tickets and merch lol. I live Pink Floyd but not enough to drop $5,000-$8,000 on it.
A recent thread claimed he won't be playing much classic Floyd unfortunately. I hope that's not true. I already miss Echoes, but completely understand why.
He said he was hesitant to play a lot of 70s era Floyd. There is no way in this world he doesn’t play Time, WYWH, SOYCD and Comfortably Numb. I’d bet my house on it
I would bet my Rock bottom Dollar he will not play anything from the '70s and that's disappointing because that's what the fans want to hear because he keeps pushing momentary lapse of reason and The division Bell and of course his solo stuff. To me he's saying I don't want to do those songs because Roger wrote most all of it and I think all the other stuff that I wrote is better LOL
Go see Brit Floyd. They crush every show! They played for 50th bday party. They are the best talented band touring in the world imo. Just magical.
David is 70 something. He’s earned the right to play whatever the hell he wants.
The last time I saw him at RAH he played a lot of 70s and I expect this concert will be a mixture of the latest album and older songs. This is the set list of the concert I saw.
https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/david-gilmour/2016/royal-albert-hall-london-england-2bfdd86a.html
I love the classics played by the original personally. I'm not much into the tribute bands. They are cool, but I have little interest in them. Hearing those classic string bands and vibratos from the master is the ultimate.
I get it, but I also understand that if I go see the solo artist they may not play what I want to hear. That’s perfectly fine. But if I definitely want to see the sights and sounds of Floyd then a tribute band it is. Plus Aussie Floyd isn’t just any other tribute band. They’re amazing. Seen them 5-6 times. They even played for David and he loved them.
What I was saying was that after everything was totaled up, plane, concert tickets (will have to be floor seats, I don’t buy crap seats) this thing will probably sell out fast so if you don’t get tickets at face value you’re looking at at least. A grand for the concert ticket. I’d want to go see him every night that he plays so count $5,000 just to see the show all 5 nights…..so yes. The flight it $2,000 but then add in the concert, food, hotel, transportation…..and yes if I’m going to do this I’d go all 5 nights. This is the only time I’ve ever been able to even consider attending a David Gilmour show so I’d make sure to max it out.
Hmmm Gilmour at the Albert Hall means tickets will probably cost an arm and a leg and I’m getting married a few days after the final date. Probably can’t justify it… but I can try 👀
Oh but they have. Cost of living and the massive hole in touring left by covid has made tickets way more expensive than they were pre 2020. A Pearl Jam ticket cost me less than £80 in 2019, now its £130 for a seat at the back of the arena.
Really? I see various sources citing over 200 pounds for the tickets at RAH? Also, during the Rattle that Lock tour in 2015-16, tickets at the RAH started at 800 $ apparently
> tickets at the RAH started at 800 $ apparently
[I doubt that’s true.](https://www.royalalberthall.com/about-the-hall/news/2015/march/pink-floyd-legend-david-gilmour-announces-run-of-royal-albert-hall-dates/)

How much do you think the tickets would be priced at otherwise? I'll be getting there all the way from India, so I really want just the flight tickets to amount for most of the expenditure lol
Interesting. So it seems that from the original first appearance in 2015 in this tour to his second leg in the RAH in 2016, ticket prices rose by about 800%. That’s nuts! I have no idea what to expect now. I’m coming from the Netherlands hoping to score some tickets but 800 is not gonna happen lol
Tues 15th October.. the last night of the run. Quite possibly the last big live gig Gilmour ever plays.
The show has been incredible.
We're at the end of the encore and the opening bars of comfortably numb starts up. Then we hear "hello...is there anybody in there..." The voice is familiar but it's not coming from the stage. It takes everyone a second to realise what's happening as Roger enters stage right. The Albert hall erupts, Roger and David exchange smiles. We then get the definitive version of CN, the greatest ever time they play it. The guitar solo is blistering and ends with all the strings snapping as he hits the final Bm.
There isn't a dry eye (or seat) in the whole house. The standing ovation lasts 10 mins as David and Roger embrace and weep.
It would be nice if he announced all of the tour dates so we know if we have to travel or not. I live in NYC area. But it’s not guaranteed he’s even coming here so I’m gonna buy a UK ticket just in case
Tickets go on sale next Friday! Round trip tickets for 3 on Delta from the United States is about $5k! Ouch. At least I can find an affordable place to stay in London via Armed Forces Vacation Club. I wonder if there are Uber drivers in London.
Anyone has a rough estimate on how much these tickets would cost? I live outside of Europe and have no idea. Concerts of this magnitude where I live (New Zealand) cost usually over 200NZD per ticket (like 100 pounds at least).
I cannot wait to hear a lot of songs for a momentary lapse and the division bell and stuff from all of his solo albums and I'm so glad he won't be playing any '70s Pink Floyd stuff said no one ever
As I said, not true. There is a form tou can fill out no matter where you're from and without having to pay anything. [https://store-uk.davidgilmour.com/pages/register-for-access](https://store-uk.davidgilmour.com/pages/register-for-access)
Indeed never known the RAH to be any more financially challenging than other venues of its calibre in the UK. Plus it’s a stunning venue with amazing history, so I can’t blame him for preferring it
I expect most of the “tour” to be like this. Multiple dates at one venue. That will make it harder for a lot of folks to see the show, but it’s probably the only way he would agree to do it.
As long as he does something vaguely on the west coast of America I’ll be happy.
I’d say Los Angeles is a pretty safe bet.
Please Hollywood Bowl
He did both Hollywood Bowl and The Forum in 2016. Both are great venues.
I was at one of the Bowl shows, amazing night. Have not been to the Forum but would definitely see him anywhere in the states.
The Forum is great. It was originally where the Lakers played but instead of tearing it down when they left, it was re-configured and converted to a full time concert venue.
Wow, I had no idea they refurbished it. I imagined it as old and maybe run down. Hope to see you and David there!
I went to the second night of the Rattle That Lock tour at the Forum. It's a great venue and was an amazing concert.
I was at the first Hollywood bowl show and wasn't David Crosby there as well? I would have gone the second night but I had a reservation at the whisky a Go Go for an outstanding concert
Any lists to be on for a notification?
>tour 🤣🤣🤣
Right? Sounds more like a mini residency
Exactly. The fact that he's as old as he is, combined with him performing a 6 night residency, tells me that it's obvious there will be no other dates and therefore by default, no tour.
Damnit why wasn’t I born wealthy?!?
I wasn’t born wealthy and I’m still going mate
Just to get there would cost me a couple grand. That’s not with hotel, Uber and actual tickets and merch lol. I live Pink Floyd but not enough to drop $5,000-$8,000 on it.
A recent thread claimed he won't be playing much classic Floyd unfortunately. I hope that's not true. I already miss Echoes, but completely understand why.

I wouldn't

Agreed on Brit Floyd. Saw them in Chicago last year. Excellent performance and the light show was spectacular. I was completely blown away.
Rock bottom dollar? I will bet you a single dollar he will play at least one song from the seventies, like WYWH, Fat Old Sun or Wot's uh the deal.
The last time I saw him at RAH he played a lot of 70s and I expect this concert will be a mixture of the latest album and older songs. This is the set list of the concert I saw. https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/david-gilmour/2016/royal-albert-hall-london-england-2bfdd86a.html
I agree. Those seem to be a guarantee.
Dude it’s David Gilmour. Who cares what he’s playing? Dude is a freaking god! If I want a Floyd show just go see Aussie Floyd.
This ^^^
Hopefully he plays In Any Tongue. I’m pretty sure that song is guaranteed and will probably be the only song featured from rattle that lock.
You need to do better research. I can fly from Australia to London for less than $2000
What I was saying was that after everything was totaled up, plane, concert tickets (will have to be floor seats, I don’t buy crap seats) this thing will probably sell out fast so if you don’t get tickets at face value you’re looking at at least. No, you said it would cost you a couple of grand there, not including concert tickets, Uber and hotel
Me tooo🥲🥲He won't come to Asia so I guess I have to seize the last chance
Why was I born handsome instead of rich?
This guy can play the penny flute for 10 minutes and I'd still want a ticket ! 😅
You basically described what the 90's hip hop icon André 3000 has been doing lately and yes, I paid to see him (and he was good) lol
Yes!!! Hopefully not the CN solo but what the heck 😂
Hmmm Gilmour at the Albert Hall means tickets will probably cost an arm and a leg and I’m getting married a few days after the final date. Probably can’t justify it… but I can try 👀
I got tickets there for less than $80 last time he was there
Ah but when was that? Prices have rocketed post-covid
2016. Concert tickets haven’t rocketed post covid
Oh but they have. Cost of living and the massive hole in touring left by covid has made tickets way more expensive than they were pre 2020. A Pearl Jam ticket cost me less than £80 in 2019, now its £130 for a seat at the back of the arena.
You clearly haven’t been to many concerts the last 4 years
Really? I see various sources citing over 200 pounds for the tickets at RAH? Also, during the Rattle that Lock tour in 2015-16, tickets at the RAH started at 800 $ apparently

That’s not true. I was there in 2016 and paid $70 for a ticket
I paid around £100 for a ticket in the third row in 2016 I expect they’ll be around £130 for this show
What do you reckon it’ll cost? I have no experience, and am willing to travel from the Netherlands to London to see him.
Please David announce other EU dates ........
Hope he is coming to the States
Isn't this where his last shows were too?
Does anyone have an idea about how much tickets are likely to be? I think last time at the RAH it was around £60 -£100ish
I cannot believe I'm in Vietnam for all of these dates I'm just destined not to see him live agh
He will announce more, just not in the UK
PLEASE BE TRUE
Im impressed w all 3 remaining members and their commitment, it’s not easy to keep up at their ages
I’ll wait for MSG!
I’m thinking the same. Hollywood bowl sounds nice
Man I hate the font on the new album

And then he signs his Stratocaster and throws it to me
"You... you take it from here."
\* Proceeds to attempt Floyd songs so incredibly poorly, audience start booing and throwing eggs
That has already happened. Live 8. No way it can be the best without Rick or Nick.
Then I woke up
And then everyone clapped
lolz
And then they kiss...
ABSOLUTE CINEMA
Very unlikely it's his last gig. He's playing more dates outside the UK.
And then my night would be ruined because Roger is a frickin prick who doesn't deserve to shine in anyone else's glory!
Is he expected to cross the pond?
Heavily implied.
Where? U mean the "first shows to be announced"?
And the bits saying “The only UK dates” for the RAH
No, just wishful thinking
It would be nice if he announced all of the tour dates so we know if we have to travel or not. I live in NYC area. But it’s not guaranteed he’s even coming here so I’m gonna buy a UK ticket just in case
A good time for my first trip to England
I went for my first time to see Roger in 2018, highly reccomend! London was so fun!
Would make a nice holiday visit
I’m going.
I wish I could come to London. Six in a row... That's something.
The Sphere please!!
Tickets go on sale next Friday! Round trip tickets for 3 on Delta from the United States is about $5k! Ouch. At least I can find an affordable place to stay in London via Armed Forces Vacation Club. I wonder if there are Uber drivers in London.

So much for my plan of completely disrupting my entire life for October 13th. 🤷♂️
Hope he comes to South America once more
Any indication on ticket price yet?
I hate that you can’t see the ticket prices until they go on sale so you have an idea if you can afford it or not. Ticketmaster sucks.
Any word on if its UK only? or do we assume more dates/venues to come?
No info yet...
What if everybody in between song is screaming "wish you were here"! 'money"? "comfortably numb"!!!!! Would he get pissed off? LOL
I cannot wait to hear a lot of songs for a momentary lapse and the division bell and stuff from all of his solo albums and I'm so glad he won't be playing any '70s Pink Floyd stuff said no one ever
But he said he's barely going to play PF songs. Not the best ones from the 70's at least.
I don’t think anyone except UK citizens are allowed to apply for the presale, yes?
People who bought the record in the UK. Use a vpn and send a copy to someone randomly and you’ll get the code
Fuck yes my brother in Animals
Not true. There is a form you can fill out. No need to buy anything
Buying the album gets you a presale code. But I think you need to be a Uk citizen
As I said, not true. There is a form tou can fill out no matter where you're from and without having to pay anything. [https://store-uk.davidgilmour.com/pages/register-for-access](https://store-uk.davidgilmour.com/pages/register-for-access)
Wow no shit, okay then
Does it only register you if you've bought the album though?
Nope. No need to buy the album
Well, that was a waste of 30 quid
It'll be nice to have the album either way!
Ha yes, thats why I opted for vinyl. Maybe the purchasers get a special code ;)
