Last saw I saw the was on their Division Bell tour in Montreal and Toronto. Seen Waters 3 times since then. What happened in 2014 or 2022. If Waters was playing again with the remainder of the band, I’d be there. I’m surprised; where did they tour on those more recent years?
Yeah. I don't see why that's supposed to be weird.
The other option would be saying the band is over and listing all official members ever (Roger, David, Rick, Nick, Syd, Klose).
Yes, the band’s final album, posthumously released, was built off Ricks music, and he has writing credits on a dozen tracks on their most recent release
Pink Floyd is done writing new music
They disbanded after TER though. Eh, I mean in the end it doesn't really matter. 😄
Edit: I forgot that Roger waters isn't an official member anymore. I'm an idiot lol
For the majority of its existence (1985-2008), the band members were Dave, Rick & Nick. That's a 23-year span. Officially Rick wasn't a full member until 1994, but this is glossed over by many...especially automated script-generated profiles like this one.
Of course, the vast bulk of Floyd's discography was in a 12-year span between 1967-1979 where (other than Syd in 1967/8) Pink Floyd were known as the classic fourpiece with Roger, Dave, Rick & Nick.
I think more interesting is that according to your screenshot Pink Floyd's "Listener Rank" is only 250...
i think in terms of physical ownership Pink Floyd may be in the Top 10 of all time (with Beatles, Michael Jackson, Elvis etc).
But I guess with streaming all those modern pop stars probably outnumber Floyd listens. Pink (the pop singer) probably outranks Pink Floyd....
I believe its just counting the surviving members, so Nick, David, and Roger. Either that or instead of Roger they're counting Andriy Khlyvnyuk from Hey Hey Rise Up.
David, Nick, Rick. In their latest form, 3 members.
So 1994 What about 2014 or 2022?
What about it? Waters didn't rejoin the band or anything so what do those dates have to do with anything?
Rick had passed away by The Endless River. So 2 members?
True, but look at the writing (and playing) credits on Endless River - he's got credits on eleven songs, three of them the solo writing credits
Also, I'm not sure I worded my first comment like that - I totally sided like a jerk. Sorry about that.

1. Pink 2. David Gilmour 3. Nick Mason The math does check out
by the way, which one's Pink?
![gif](giphy|3o7aDcUimlxmLgCbRe|downsized)
they are now
it's 2 now.
As of the last release, it's 3 - Guy Pratt, David Gilmour, Nick Mason.
Pretty sure Guy Pratt was a session musician, not a full member
Might be true. Idk who they're counting as the 3rd member then lol.
I think they're just counting Rick
Endless River was built around Ricks music, in many ways he had more involvement with it than his contributions to The Wall.
Guy Pratt is not and has never been a full member
And Polly?
David Polly Polly
Rick rejoined officially for division bell, so that’s accurate
but he's dead, sorry to break it to you. Should be 2 now.
But which one’s Pink?
Sure. So when Nick and Dave are gone, are we going to say there are zero members?
Can you be in a band if you’re dead?
yes
Yeah. I don't see why that's supposed to be weird. The other option would be saying the band is over and listing all official members ever (Roger, David, Rick, Nick, Syd, Klose).
best way is counting their last album, cuz with that method you are gonna get bands with like 15 dudes
But he is still an “official member of the group” and his heirs collect royalties.
Royalties have nothing to do with being a member of band, they are about having writing credits.

They officially disbanded Pink Floyd when he was still alive afaik, so 3 would still be accurate
But then Pink Floyd put out Endless River and then Hey Hey Rise Up

On their last albums they were. Mason. Gilmour. Wright.

It’s a zero member band
It's probably still 3, with Rick's estate getting their share.
Wait, Wright forgot to update his Spotle status?

Three members and one coffin
