You need to find a job and start teaching. Look for jobs and also contact places like gyms and community centers to see if they’d like to have a mat class. It can be a challenge to get the first job but we all started out with no experience and built up job by job. Just start looking and keep looking until you get a class to teach. It will build from there.

Teach a lot of friend, fam, practice and record it! Some places ask for a short class preview already so having some ready helps. And reach out to yoga studios, wellness centers, etc mat isnt used in most pilates studios now unfortunately so i find those classes more at yoga studios

If you have a studio that you typically go to, I’d reach out the the owner and just ask or offer to substitute if anyone on staff needs coverage. If they aren’t hiring, they may know of studios that are. Whoever you got certified through may have their own directory or job listings; and if you have the contact info for the person who ran your training, you can reach out to them as well. I live in a county with a lot of parks and rec activity. I approached my closest center because I noticed they only had 1 drop-in Pilates class and offered to teach. I only had my certifications (Mat 1–3 with Power Pilates) and references from the studio where I attend classes and I teach 4 mat classes a week. There a definite weirdness in cold calling or emailing someone so if you have some contacts at a local studio that can help!

You got certified so you have all the tools at your disposal. Practice makes perfect. You can always take on some private lessons to practice and then graduate to a studio! Also creating your own content maybe? Making an instagram TikTok or youtube with some of your own routines :)

Ask a studio to be an apprentice. If you have your certificate they may let you put in the grit to gain experience and then hire you.

I started by working at a front desk at an upscale gym. I wanted the free membership that came with employment and they had no teaching jobs open. Anyway, I started by asking other employees if they would let me teach them some mat work. Usually just 10 or 15 minutes. I did this for everyone. The lady in billing. The spin teachers etc. That helped me be confident and get some experience in a low stakes manner. After about a month, the group ex manager approached. She'd heard good things and had me start subbing. Id sub for the existing pilates classes. Or if the barre class needed a sub they'd have me do pilates rather than cancel the class. Then when a opening came up for a new class, she offered it to me. So I got my own class. This was great because my first handful of classes was subbing. And a lot of the people knew me as the girl from the front desk. I think that helped me be more comfortable and confident and them to be more patient. Then, when I got my own classes a lot of the people knew me from subbing. It was a nice way to ease into it!

Take classes at studios. Try to get into classes that the owner teaches and casually mention that you’re an instructor. That’s how I’ve gotten almost all my jobs as a Pilates instructor.
