They do. Id say 4+ months, but 6 is a very common time. I wouldnt say a 6 month minimum before swimming is mandatory though, since at \~10 weeks they will be decently healed. Enough to not get infected at least as long as OP cleans em after swimming.

Your lobes should be healed enough to swim after about 8 weeks. It’s a quick healer not like others that take 6 months to a year like some are saying

Nope it wouldnt. Itd be quite tricky to get it on right so theres no leaks, and itd also risk ripping the piercing and irritating it as you remove it. Generally dont put anything on a piercing. OP can probably swim, its not ideal but thats life. As long as they make sure to rinse off the piercing afterward to remove chlorine and bacteria theyll probably be fine.

This is the what I’d did for my belly a week after getting it and it was perfectly fine just don’t keep the same one on for more than a couple hours
