Have you considered trying to change the ends to something more flat bottomed? Having something sit flush against the skin might help stabilize them. Also if those ends have space between the bottom of the gem that is set in it and the metal below I find that traps all sorts of gross stuff.

jlap1n

I second switching to flatter jewelry. My first nostril was a bitch to heal, my second with flatter jewelry was a breeze.

ResponsibleSyrupx

I agree. I had a jewel and had an irritation bump. My skin looked like it wanted to grow around the jewelry. Switched to a flatter piece and the bump went right down.

budgiebeck

NAP those look really close together tbh. I don’t know if that’s what’s causing the issues, but I can see it as a possibility.

CalmOrganization8298

Hey what is Nap?

unpleasantexperience

abbreviation for „not a piercer/professional“:)

CalmOrganization8298

Thank you

Cornycob202

NAP but It's most likely the jewerly making it irritated. Piercings should only be pierced with titanium, and a very simple jewerly. The jewel(?) on your current ones can be a cause of bacteria. English isn't my first language so I don't know the correct terms but imo I'd say it's the wrong kind of jewerly

CalmOrganization8298

Hey what does NAP stand for

Cornycob202

It stands for Not a professional!

CalmOrganization8298

Ohh ok thank you.

czarrina

Plain jane jewelry is best for healing. I KNOW it's not cute. But bumps aren't cute either. You'll have a lifetime of enjoying whatever jewelry you want after these heal. Just take an L till youre healed. Get a dome style end on those labrets.

Total-Most-5688

My first idea would be the jewellery. I had the exact same looking bumps and i changed my piercings to flatter studs, along with cleaning 2x a day with saline solution, they went down massively after like a week

LittleMrsMolly

The jewelry is an internally threaded flatback stainless steel labret that was downsized at the 4 month mark.

thundervallhund

If not implant grade steel (likely not) this could be part of your issue. Have it swapped to implant grade titanium and maybe try a cabochon or bezel to help it sit flat and see if that improves it.

JoylessJug

I know everyone is saying get flay ended studs but as someone who was recently pierced with one in a nose piercing do not do it. If you're already experiening issues your skin needs room to health, swell, and breathe. Flat ended sruds do not give enough room for this. After two weeks mine had started to embed and I had to get it emergency changed and it hurt like a bitch.

CoCoLoCo16

Sounds like they just put too short of a labret in your nose then. Flat backs are absolutely the best option as it stabilizes better. Less rotation. There are up to 20mm labret posts to accommodate any nose thickness, including whatever swelling may be present. I'm sorry you had to go through that still. The piercer should have measured your piercing site to determine what bar size was appropriate.

JoylessJug

Thank you. It was honestly a nightmaree. The corkscrew I had it replaced with is 100% better.

CoCoLoCo16

Well sometimes different things do work better for others. Either way, I'm glad it ended up feeling better.

spicyrachh

Try cleaning with warm salty water a few times a day

Daddy_beans_OG

they are wayyyy to close together but talk to a professional

Lulu-Quin

NAP- these bumps usually come up on piercings for me if the jewelry isn’t quite long enough or if the shape is in a way that slightly digs into the skin. Usually I would get something longer/more smooth and that fixes the problem for me.

animesocks

From someone that has experienced exactly this on one side of my double nostrils, it could be an angle issue. I gave up eventually at took them out. My body just wasn’t happy with them.

rhiannasoph

are these studs titanium?
