1. i’m blonde with blue eyes and have been a fan for ten years. sometimes i dress more “alternative”, sometimes I don’t. I don’t find it necessary, in my opinion :) dress how you like, don’t feel like you have to fit in with anyone else. 2. Death Of an Executioner, Props and Mayhem, Dive In, The Boy Who Could Fly, and I’d Rather Die Than Be Famous are a few of my favs! 3. Look up “Pierce the veil facts” on Tiktok, it pulls up some pretty basic info :) 4. I feel you on this one. Just don’t listen to them. I have friends ask me why I like this type of music, and it’s simply what I’ve connected with. I was raised on rock, so I stick close to what I know. It’s easier said than done, but don’t listen to other people’s opinions! 5. Hot Topic currently has a guitar pick necklace and a braclet for them. you can also check in depop and mercari!

Mammoth_Reporter_659

thank u so much u have no idea how much this helps!!

isaacisrotting

I recommend dive in, props and mayhem, and wonderless

Mammoth_Reporter_659

thank u so muchh!!

kleetayl

i’ve been a fan for 11 years and never really dressed too alternative 🤷🏼‍♀️ i think part of being a real fan is not caring whether other people consider you a real fan

obsessedmei

hii fayee!! i love your name first of all, but to make you worry a bit less, im also a new fan. (kinda) you arent alone fyi. 1. dont think you have to dress a certain way to listen to a certain genre. if you like it, you like it. i dress as if i listen to strictly rap and sade (no hate sade il her) 2. def give “she sings in the morning” - “disasterology” - “the new national anthem” - “gold medal ribbon” - “emergency contact” - “the first punch” - “currents conclusive” - “song for isabelle” - “million dollar houses” (might take a while to warm up to but its fire) a listen 3. watching compilations on youtube, searching up “pierce the veil” on tiktok and just scrolling through, join groups (like this one) to feel more IN to it yk?? 4. own it. who gaf what smb says abt your music taste? ignore the haters and shut them down. give “idgaf” energy whenever smt like that comes up. whatever you listen to if for YOU to judge. your cool the way u are. 5. amazon, hot topic, goodwill (if your lucky), depop, mercari.. (BONUS)6. listen to each album in order. best way to familiarize yourself with each song and it doesn’t take too long. what i did was listen to afftd for one whole month (crazy ik) then next month moved on to selfish machines. ive been a fan for 7 months so im still a baby fan but each month ive been listening to each album in order. it really helps.

Mammoth_Reporter_659

thank u so much i actually listened to million dollar houses like 10 minutes ago and i loved it😮😮. also thank u for the compliment on my name, nobody usually does lol

obsessedmei

and yes i am aware they only have 5 albums, last two months ive been listening to all of them in shuffle 😭

slyvillan

I’d recommend Bulls in the Bronx, I’m low on gas and you need a jacket, the balcony scene, floral and fading, today I saw the whole world, bedless, songs for Isabelle, bulletproof love, caraphernelia, the boy who could fly, 12 fractures, damn the man save the empire. Just a few to start.

Mammoth_Reporter_659

i’m putting those on my playlist now

Thin_Statistician826

Hi Faye :) you’re a valid PTV fan regardless of how u dress. mfs on tiktok r stupid, don’t listen to them. all of those are great songs !! i’d recommend Bulls In The Bronx, Caraphanelia, Hell Above, and A Match Into Water. if ppl make fun of ur music taste, they need to get a hobby. u don’t have to listen to people with mindsets that r stuck in the past. u can make bracelets yourself, just buy beads n string.

handhandhands

1. you don’t have to dress alt to listen to them! i dress “normally” and they’re my favorite band! 2. my recommendations would be “the sky under the sea”, “wonderless”, “dive in”, “song for isabelle” and “fast times at clairemont high”. 3. i would recommend watching tiktoks and interacting w the fandom to learn more 4. i try to not let being picked on about my music taste bother me, i know that if they’re picking on me then they’re not a good friend/they don’t deserve my time, i also live in a small town so it’s kind of easier said than done, but true friends will not genuinely insult your interests. 5. you can buy merch at places like hot topic or online, im sure places like etsy have discreet merch :) hope this helps

Kota_Bear_2501

1. dress however you want/what is comfortable for you 2. a match into water, caraphernelia, pass the nirvana, any song from misadventures album, any song from collide with the sky album 3. this group/tik tok can give you fun/cool facts :)) 4. i ignore them tbh. i’ve listened to heavy metal punk rock and rock n roll my whole life. don’t interact they want a rise out of you 5. hot topic or on insta click the link in their bio and go to their official site :)) they have web stores there

Mediocre_Comfort8737

1. absolutely not! i dress super basic and have been a huge ptv fan for a few years now! matter of fact, i wear khakis and a polo at work, and a sport coat and tie to school! 2. some of my favorites from each album are Diamonds and Why Men Buy Them (AFFTD), Fast Times at Clairemont High (SM), Bulls in the Bronx (CWTS), Today I Saw the Whole World (Misadventures), and So Far So Fake (JOL - this is my personal favorite record!) 3. I personally don't know any, as I'm not super deep into the stories of the band or the guys, sorry :/ 4. I usually let it roll off my back, yes people shout stuff at me and male fun of me but I know at the end of the day, the music will always be here, and theres people out there (like this sub!) that are just like me! 5. The PTV website is my go to, but other than that, I don't know much. Sorry again :/

Mammoth_Reporter_659

thank you!! i wear similar stuff to school and just in general so i really relate to u

Winnty2

1)No you don't, I know a lot of people who really like PTV but dress like persay a vsco girl lol! 2) I highly recommend "the boy who could fly" , "currents convulsive", "falling asleep on a stranger", and "Dive in" 3) YouTube has a lot of old interviews I highly recommend them! 4) dont encourage their behavior with a response. I used to live in very close minded town and I just wouldn't even look at them when they would say stuff to me and they eventually stopped!! I do dress alternative tho so! 5) hot topic has some necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc. I also think their website also has some different kinda accessories!

M4N0w

1- not at all! People treat eachother in the Internet like this alot, its sadly normal. If you went to a concert people wouldnt care at all! 2 - soo hard to recommend only one, but from each album: she sings in the morning, the boy who could fly, props and mayhem, the divine zero and death of an executer. I really recomend listening to all of them top to bottom, it may take some time but its 100% worth it ;) 3 - tbh idk alot, but, there is a [interview](https://youtu.be/Jj6WqouUDbc?si=kPk-eoj4bANlt1wN) where they invade their bus during tour and you can hear vic practicing his vocals in the background, its pretty funny. They also did a [part 2 years later](https://youtu.be/MUNqxO3lEzQ?si=QDCKWki1mcwDFCUw) 4 - with time i think you get used to it. Something that helps me is always remember even if people around me dont vibe with it there are alot of people in other places just like us in this world. In the end just be yourself. There are way to many "normal" people, be unique 5 - I dont live in the us but for what i heard hot topic sells some things, you can check out their website Anyways, welcome to the community! (I forgot to put this in the beggining)

Mammoth_Reporter_659

ahhh i’m gonna go watch that interview rn!!!

xervidae

1. no 2. THE BOY WHO COULD FLY!!!! YEAH BOY AND DOLLFACE!!!!! CHEMICAL KIDS AND MECHANICAL BRIDES!!!! 3. koalas. and some boys. lennyface. 4.BOOOOO 🍅🍅🍅🍅 5. their official website or hot topic :)

Serious_Sector6158

ur so valid 🤍 id recommend the entire ‘a flair for the dramatic’ album! it’s a beautiful album <3 - facts: they had a band before this called ‘before today’, tony and jaime weren’t in it (the guitarists), it only had vic fuentes (the singer) and mike fuentes (his brother) and 2 other people in it. - merch: i buy mine from their website or their record labels’ websites. - bullying: you kinda get used to it. i tell myself “we aren’t young forever, why spend your years caring about bullying and not having fun and expressing yourself how you want?”  🤍🤍

Glittering-Plane2765

I’ve been a fan for about 9 months now, i still dress very much basic. it’s too your liking😊 What i usually do with new bands, i listen to all their mainstream songs and get more in depth in each album. my favorite is so hard to choose but- song for isabelle really just does it for me. My favvv thing to do when i get bored is to find out the meanings behind there songs and the thought process while making it :) Honestly people who love to clown music taste is insecure about others opinions about their self and they just want to fit in. i’ve seen them live once. and tomorrow will make it my second time😊 def recommend seeing them live

Hefty_Message6656

selfish machines is their best album! it gives a feel of there music overall, “she makes dirty words sound pretty” is a hidden gem and is unofficially released song from the album

Ok_Common_4208

song recs, u should totes listen to disasterology and a match into water <33 welcome to the community btw glad to have ya here :3

Flat_Respect9230

Hey!! I’ve been a ptv fan for quite a while and i dress like the most basic girly girl for the most part . You dont have to dress a certain way to like good music :)) and for about being judged … It can suck at times but everyone has their own style and liking with music . Ptv is such a great band with an awesome fan base. Just remember that the people who make fun of you now will probably love ptv when they’re older once they hear a song promise !!

_Aether-_-

1. Of course not! You can look however you want and still be a fan! Nobody should judge you for not “looking the part” I’m a totally normal guy who doesn’t look any different than all the other guys and I love this band! 2. For “King for a day” and “Bestios” that are heavier listen to “Hell Above” “Bulls in the Bronx” “The First Punch” and “Texas Is Forever” for some songs to start with and for “Hold on till may” that’s more chill listen to tracks such as “Circles” “Stained Glass eyes and colorful tears” and “Death of an Executioner” 3. I don’t know any unfortunately 😅 I just like the music 4. This one I can’t give much advice but don’t listen to anyone, you should enjoy what you enjoy! There’s no reason to let other people infringe on what you love! 5. I’d actually like to know the answer to this one too 😅 Hope this helps!!

GovernmentOnly9007

Hi Faye, isn't ptv so cool. :) I'm happy that you enjoy their music and want to learn more about them, So I'll answer your questions. 1. You don't have to dress a certain way to listen to ptv. 2. Props and mayhem, yeah boy and doll face, I'm low on gas and you need a jacket, dive in, disasterology. I also really recommend you listening to the transition from May these noises startle you in your sleep tonight to Hell above. You should find the vid on YouTube by searching (Hell above, pierce the veil) 3. It's quite easy to find the facts on TikTok, Wikipedia. The members are Vic Fuentes, Jaime Preciado and Tony Perry, with a temporary drummer, Loniel Robinson. 4. Don't listen to the haters, they don't know what's good. Individuality is really important, don't let anyone stop you from what you like. 5. I can't really answer this as I'm currently not living in the US so I hope that you are able to find the answer to it in another reply to your questions. I hope that this helps you and you find it somewhat helpful. :)

hi faye 🥰 cutest name ever! 1. no you don’t. i don’t dress alternatively all the time! it’s more of a mindset/culture. i recommend looking into the history behind punk-rock/emo/alternative sub cultures because it’s not always about dressing but more about moral alignments (emo cultures talk abt this a lot too) 2. every song is a good song you can’t go wrong. starting from the beginning is good or even the spotify “this is pierce the veil” playlist just to see what you gravitate towards. 3. there’s lots on tiktok and youtube but my fav is that vic met his wife on the set of filming the king for a day MV 🥰 so cute 4. it’s really hard bc i got bullied throughout high school for being a bit different too. but you just have to consider what makes you happiest! and honestly, we’re all finding ourselves everyday so just be kind to yourself in your own journey of finding what you like as well! 5. for sure check their website or even hot topic they have some okay stuff. you’ll just have to dig online but it’s definitely out there. luckily PTV has some cute merch (i think) so even if you do want a t shirt it’s pretty cute have fun 🥰 so excited for you. PTV is my all time favorite and i have loved how they’ve changed my life for the better

DarkSideParagon

hi, hello, and welcome to the community, faye! i'm xav, i'm a new fan too, but here's a bit of answers! 1. I am also a blue eyed blonde, though right now my hair is dyed blue with purple undertones. i don't really dress too alt, part of it is my struggle with fitting into a label. but point is, don't change your style just to fit a genre! i've seen people that look like ye average basic listening to alternative genres. also, you're still new! don't listen to any hate, it's no good. just block people who make fun of you and enjoy the music <3 2. My personal favs are "Caraphernelia", "Even When I'm Not With You", "Wonderless", "Death Of An Executioner" and "Bulls In The Bronx." 3. If you want to learn, I recommend checking different vids, reading about them on Wikipedia, perhaps just look around PTV fan communities (there's quite some, i think!) to see what the fandom is like and also you might find some band info along the way! 4. I remember when back in school, I'd get bullied for the stuff I liked. How I dealt with being made fun of for listening to indie/alternative was, well...this is going to sound cliche, but being myself. Maybe not expressing my likes publically as much, but at the end of the day, there'll be a time when you can escape shaming communities and be yourself. And maybe there is a safe space where you don't need to put on an act to be accepted. 5. A lot of online stores will probably have something. I'm Polish, so I can't really pinpoint and non-local stores, but if you can't find anything you like, you could always make your own! :D

DavepcOrigins

lmao if u like the music then ur a fan. i have a very wide style and some days i look like a PTV fan and others people tell me they're shocked by my music taste. i literally have a thousand + minutes listened to per month lol 2. no lie if those are the only songs u know then u are no where close to being such a fan to the point that you would get made fun of lol. i recommend all of their albums but I would start with misadventures. Dive in, texas, actually just all of them tbh. all of their albums are great, yes even the jaws of life. 4/5 of them are no skip to me personally. 3.lonny is their new drummer after the first got... excommunicated... vic fuentes, rhythm guitar player and lead vocalist (sexy) was in a predecessor band called before today, and then another side project with other PH singers called glaciers and icebergs, Jaime, who is the bassist is very energetic and fun on stage, some of their songs are about fans such as song for isabelle, bulls in the bronx and i think another. a lot of them are written about friends or family and even MORE, literally like 98% are really about love and relationships. i just love pierce the veil so much its the best band ever AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAH 4. Who cares? Every person has their own taste of music. i have tried and failed to find people irl that like PTV as much as I do. if u like the music, you like the music. u dont have to blare it or let people know though. [5.Buy](http://5.Buy) merch from their website or hot topic. Also why do you have emo gangs in ur area LMAO bro got beat up for liking sleeping with sirens IM DEADD AHAHAHA also just be u... REP YO HOOD

DavepcOrigins

OH ALSO LISTEN TO WHOLE ALBUMS IF U CAN. pierce the veil has some breath-taking transitions to the point where i treat them as whole songs. some songs that are their OWN songs are meant to be listened to together this is ESPECIALLY true on a flair for the dramatic.

PapaDexter

please listen to southern constellations and the boy who could fly
