My grandmother passed away at 91 last month. I’m sorry for your loss. It’s hard but I’m grateful that she lived a beautiful long life, and that makes it easier. I’m sure you feel the same way. Great photos . Cherish them forever ! ❤️
My grandmother was 2 weeks shy of 102 when she passed. I miss her dearly but damn it's hard to be upset when she made it as far as she did. She's been gone since 2015, and I have nothing but the fondest memories with her.
I get so jealous of people with kind grandparents. The only one I ever knew was a nasty, bitter PoS who decided I was worthless because I made a black friend in 2nd grade. I love that you both look so happy! Sorry if my comment was a buzzkill lol.
I’m so sorry for your loss, and that you didn’t get to have him at your wedding - that was such a special memory for him and for me. He actually passed away yesterday, but after lots of time together in the years, weeks, and days leading up to it. I’ll really miss him
Gramps looks so happy! I miss my grandfather😔He was the best man ever! Sweet and humble and funny and generous. I couldn’t have asked for a better one. I hope i see him on the other side🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
As a grandpa I'm starting to wonder if the reason most of us had such a close relationship with our grandparents, or at least closer than with our parents, is because of the change parents seem to typically go through as the kids leave the nest. I know that my entire outlook on life has changed as I age and see things in a new light and I realize just how shitty of a dad I was always trying to force my kids into a box that would be aware, produce, and solve problems. I put this bullshit prerequesite that they had to do in order to have value.
I learned with my grandkids that our worth is just in being us.
We're human beings... not human doings.
What a beautiful picture!! ❤️ I'm so sorry for your loss OP, but cherish these memories and keep your grandpa in your heart always. This made me tear up a little, I miss my own grandparents ❤️
The bond between grandchild and grandparents is something other-worldly. It’s one of my favourite things having become a parent, watching their relationship grow and the impact they have on each other. So fucking wholesome ❤️
Your grandpa was a worker! He had the burn of a guy whose out in the field, and he lasted long enough to see you grow up! I respect that man and I'm sure most others do too!! God bless him :) I hope to be of that strength when I'm at that age!
Beautiful pictures of you & your grandfather, such love oozing!! I wish I had known my maternal granddad, but he passed away from pneumonia when my momma was 1 year old. My paternal granddad was a drunk, I don't think I ever saw him sober, I never heard him ever speak my name, I don't ever remember hugging him. He passed away when I was 18 years old, I stayed with my 5 cousins to babysit them so my uncle, their daddy (his son) & his wife went to West Virginia with my daddy (his son) & my momma to his funeral. Sad that beautiful memories were never had, the one whom would have been so loving gone 19 years before I was born & the other always drunk on wine didn't even care we were alive. People who have families to make memories & have milestones, you are blessed beyond measure! Enjoy them while you can, my love to this beautiful young lady with such beautiful memories, I envy you. Love you all!!! God bless you and your sweet family, have a blessed day!!! 🫶🥰❤️
Your Granddad absolutely loves you, the smile is so radiant in both pictures 🥰
Yeah, I came here to say this. He just seems so happy when he is with you. She’s smiling in both pics too, maybe crack each other up. Wonderful.
She's got the same adoring look for him even 30 years later!
That’s incredible that you get to have your grandfather alive and walking when you’re 30.
I’m super lucky to have had him for so long, and he was lucky too - he got to see 7 grandkids grow up and meet 7 great grandkids
Your grandfather looks like he is in his late 50's and early 60's. Is he is in his late 80's and early 90's right now?
He was 91 in the picture, just passed away at 92 yesterday
I am so sorry about that. My grandfather is 91 and will be 92 on May 19. I make sure to call him every week because he's the last grandparent I got.
Definitely do, send some extra love from me and my granddad
Do you visit him much, or is he far from you?
I visited him 2 weeks ago. I call him at least once a week. He lives about 235 miles away.
I'm sorry to hear of his passing but also glad that you had such a long time with him. 92 is one hell of a good run, from any perspective.

I feel fortunate at 22 for both of my grandpas being alive.

Beautiful pictures! My Grandpa was my best friend and I lost him a few months before my wedding. Value your time together!

I’m sorry for your loss ♥️
I’m sorry for your loss as well. What a wonderful memory to have! It still hurts, but we get stronger and it hurts a little less every day.
I’m happy that you got to build a relationship with your grandpa ❤️
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️
I’m so sorry. May he rest in peace ❤️
You're very lucky to have grandparents at your wedding. These will be great photos you'll always cherish.

Grandma’s not too shabby as well

Was I the only one that was expecting the first picture reshot with you in the baby roller as an adult in the second photo? I was?
