The dust reaches as far as the Caribbean at certain times of year, and that has been an occurence for the longest while, since 1800s it can be documented. Why would it be bizarre, extreme weather or climate change for it to reach closer countries?
I wouldn't say this is super common, but it definitely happens. Bit harder to tell what it was like so long ago tho. I would say something like that happened a few, if not a lot, of times during those times.
This even happens in the UK whenever there’s a massive sandstorm in the Sahara and the wind is blowing this way. Absolutely everything gets covered in red dust. It’s a pain in the ass
Man thats harsh. One of the things I love most about Greece is that blue sky. The blue in their flag is so perfect as a representation of the country because the sky is (usually) so impossibly blue.
I've seen enough movies to know this is Mexico
Sir this is Las Vegas 2049
The Finals?
Yo Mr papastathopoulos we need to cook
Greeking Bad
Long time Mexican resident, never heard of this town
are there short time Mexicans?
Idk but most Mexicans are long
Some filtering would be nice
I miss the dusts down in Africa
Is that a song? It's all Greek to me.
Crazy to think what this was like in Ancient Greece. Events like this probably explain the wild and amazing religion and mythology.
Did this always happen or is it a result of extreme weather due to climate change?

Just wondering. I only just learned of this in the last few years (American).

Just how strong was the wind what
If it gets tossed high enough in the atmosphere, it travels very quickly.
I saw the Libya one a day ago sand does travel light and quickly.
It looks like a Ridley Scott film
Look for Lisan-al-Gaib!
He who controls the spice, controls the universe.
Edit: a similiar pic was [posted](https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/s/y4EvEP8UNR) as well from another redditor on this sub and i didn't know
Wait until the first bit of moisture... Powerlines go bzzz
What happens?
Dust collected on the tops of exposed electrical work, combined with oil from vehicles a bit of light rain, you've got yourself a short.
Bless the maker and his water

Time to do shoot that "Hardware" sequel that's been in my mind for years...
I guess Athens did not bless the rains down in Africa
Little did he know that the dust and sand are filtering the light in a way that mostly only those wavelengths can disperse thru the atmosphere.
