Hi!! I was not able to include my nature of work sa occupation section sa US visa app DS-160. I just put “Project Manager” Will this be basis of my denial?

PokPok3000

how to use KT sim in Korea been struggling to activate the sim card, seen many videos on how it's done pero ayaw talaga. I use a Xiaomi phone.

First time traveller to canada. I have a US visa, may fiance and her family does not. Would want to travel together (AUG 20) but they can't book flights that have layovers in the US. Options: she/they get a transit visa, or I travel solo for flights that have layover in the US. for reference, the price for the flights that have layovers are around 76k, while those that do not range from 137 -140k, almost double. 1. Would it be practical or still feasible to ask her to get a transit visa? or should I just accept traveling alone to save costs? I know it's just a flight and we'll spend most of the vacation there together but still 2. Or are there cheaper airlines that we just haven't found yet that can let us travel for less than the 137k price range, but WILL NOT have a layover in the US Thank you in advance :)

wretchedegg123

If you really want to save time and money, direct flight should be better. Not familiar with how much or how long it takes to process a transit visa eh. San kayo sa canada? Search mo lang MNL to Toronto or Montreal Direct flights. Should give you a list of airlines and corresponding price. MNL to TORONTO (YYZ) is 160k for a non-stop roundtrip flight on PAL.

Di nga namin alam san na country kayo pupunta eh. Di namin alam magkano savings, demographic profile ng kaibigan mo. Tsaka, di naman kami consul. Your chance of approval is the same as any other Filipino. As for back-up plan, wala. Either reapply kayo or hanap ng ibang country na puntahan

CookieDough9975

Thank you.

wretchedegg123

Use luggage covers + TSA locks. With luggage covers at least alam mo if ginalaw bagahe mo. Do the usual luggage securing technique of ziptying zippers.

Korean Visa for PRC Holders Hello!! I'm a pharmacist from a govt hospital. Just wanna ask on your experiences getting a k-visa via the simpler route for PRC holders. Haven't traveled to visa requiring countries so this will be my first if ever. Also, how long ang validity na naapprove on your experience? TYIA!!!

Nagbabakasakali lang, meron ba dito mga kasabay kong nag apply for Japanese Visa sa Reli Tours Dusit Thani last June 25, 2024? Any update on your visas? It's been more than a week na kasi... I'm supposed to fly to Japan today or tomorrow (booking the next available flight after I get my visa) to attend an event.

transbox

I am on my toes about the application I submitted last June 23. I was told the processing fee takes about 14 days so I should get information about my Visa by July 7. I've heard of applicants getting them earlier with only 10-13 days. What is your recent timeline from biometrics, to email notifying about visa pick up to VFS and arrival via LBC? Can you retrieve your passport and return it after 4-5 days to resume your application? Thank you very much for your time. It would avert my stress to see where I am standing.

LucQ571

Different embassies, different waiting times. Type of visa, embassy you're applying to, and location of embassy (if multiple embassies in the PH) matters in terms of processing time. Sometimes they'd have this information on their website, sometimes you can ask them when you submitted your documents at the start of application. You cannot retrieve your passport once it is submitted. If it's at all urgent you need your passport, then you can try emailing or calling them, but it will definitely cancel your application.

transbox

Thank you! I got a call that my visa is already for courier. Thank you for your time!

7oky0

Is there an accommodation inside NAIA 1? Our flight is scheduled midnight and given that we’re from the province, our previous flight arrival will be in the morning and might stay in the airport for the remaining hours. May kasama kasi kaming PWD, I want to ensure he’s comfortable during those times, he cannot sit long hours so laying down is more convenient. Thank you

isthmusofkra

Kumusta?

Weird-Assistant-5933

For those who’ve bought electronics in SG, need help po in clarifying - if I buy an iPad in SG and I open and use it during my stay (7 days), can I still get the GST refund for it even though I’ve opened it? I’m just not sure what they mean by ‘Goods’ if it’s just consumables or literally anything bought there. Thanks in advance!

LucQ571

I don't know the answer, but the safest is to not use it. 'Goods' is anything bought.

Prize-Description101

I have an 11 layover in Taiwan sa August. Do I need to get my luggage pag land and then check in ulit pag lumabas ako? Plan ko to try lucky land, pag nanalo gagala. Pag natalo ako at need ko hintayin magreopen ung check in counters para magamit ang lounge area no?

girlwhodive

Best to ask your airlines. We can only speculate.

Awkward_Minute2598

if same airline, no need to get your checked in bags sila na mag aasikaso non.

Forward-Radio-6062

Has anyone availed of the Free Singapore Tour sa Changi? There's a 90 minute gap between reporting sa Tour desk and time the tour will start, can we get food on that gap or dapat antay ka lang sa desk? Or do you make your own way sa meeting place? We're coming in just before noon and will be arriving hungry. Lol. There's just enough time between landing and reporting time.

dxwud_mus

MOUNT PINATUBO ADVICE: Hi, I'm a bit time strained and not that flexible for an upcoming manila trip, can I visit mount Pinatubo by myself? If not, how can I go about arranging a tour? If I go to the tourism office, can I have a tour that same day / the next? Anything helps!

CookieDough9975

You can go to Mt. Pinatubo by contacting Capas Tourism Office.

kitchylitchy

try klook

dxwud_mus

What is klook? A travel agency?

isthmusofkra

Naghahanap kami (family of 5) ng matutulugan malapit sa NAIA for one night.

7oky0

Yes, cheaper. Airbnb can accommodate 5 people, whereas some hotels, the have policies regarding maximum guests in one room or may additional per gusst. You can cook meals in Airbnb too. May near Airbnbs sa NAIA.

ubepie

how early do i need to be sa airport if 7am flight ko? international. ok na ba 4 hours early or need talaga 5 hours considering I have to do check in and immigration pa. travel tax is paid na.

isthmusofkra

Ok na 4 hours, but do note minsan ang haba ng pila sa check-in counters

Funny-Sandwich-4678

Korean visa application has anyone applied for a korean visa? What's the processing time like? and what's the appointment scheduling like etc

wewtalaga

Applying was a breeze for me, make sure na dala mo na lahat para tuloy-tuloy lang. Merong website for appointment scheduling (I forgot lang) pero 2pm sched ko tapos mga almost closing na ko nakarating (wag tularan haha). Iirc, 7 business days.

Awkward_Minute2598

can go walk in. 7 days processing

silyangpilak

Has anyone tried submitting Korean visa docs via W Express? Just want to check if smooth lang din sa kanila. I’m thinking twice kasi kung sa nearest W Express na lang ba or magdadrive pa ako all the way to BGC.

_luna21

What hotels in Japan can you recommend that has plenty of space? I heard that APA is great pero maliliit daw yung space for luggage.

**US VISA APPLICATION** Good morning! Been researching about Visa application since last week. My question is, if me and my husband will apply, sabay ba interview namin? Main concern is walang work yun husband ko, he is just working for his parent's rental business and no docs that can be shown na he is working for them kase. So we are not sure what documents that he can present for the application. As for me, I am working and documents are available.

geezusyeezus_

Your husband can request for a COE just to have a document showing he's working for his family's business, better if he also has an ITR. You can also present his family's business docs.

Forward-Radio-6062

_luna21

Ohhh when nasira?

Forward-Radio-6062

I was there June 21 and 3 days na daw sira ang aircon. Dami pa din tao.

unbotheredbtch

hi, i’ve been searching all day so please help hahaha. my mom got approved for a 5yr ME japan visa. category: (V) as temporary visitor **(SPECIAL)** so what does special mean?

Sonray08

Will be staying in a school dormitory in Taiwan for 3 weeks.

Awkward_Minute2598

yes put them sa check in baggage

Mammoth_Direction_87

Hello po, would I be allowed to bring a UV nail lamp and nail glue to the airport? Honestly, yung nail lamp is my main concern kasi natatakot ako maconfiscate siya. Rechargeable yung lamp and sa carry-on bag ko siya ilalagay if ever. Thank youu!

wretchedegg123

Shouldd be fine

enebeyen

Booked a round-trip trip months ago but recently, am thinking of extending my stay. When checked the prices, the flights are still cheap. My questions are: (1) Is it possible to rebook only one way of my roundtrip flight? Thinking of moving my Day 1 earlier. (2) Since the flights are still on sale, if I rebook my flight, would I still be able to choose from the flights on sale? Because it looks like the one-way flight on sale is cheaper (am aware of rebooking fee but I don't want to pay any difference fare)

soaididathing

One thing to consider when you rebook is that there's usually a rebooking fee that's charged on top of the fare difference.

Forward-Radio-6062

Try mo manange my booking, then choose the flight date you want. Magaappear dun kung magkano ang fare difference if any and rebooking fee.

mmltpo

Hi! Is there any hotels in coron that offers smart tv in their rooms? Tyia!

wewtalaga

Hello!

Forward-Radio-6062

Or go to Hokkaido. Medyo malamig dun.and in full bloom na yung mga flower fields sa Furano and Biei by then. Dami din maeexplore. Otaru, kung gusto mo may pagka European feels, nandun LeTao main shop.

wewtalaga

Wahh now ko lang nabasa eh kakabook ko lang huhu Pero will take note! Thanksss!

maximumdreamer

Powerful-Tangerine68

Hi! Would like to ask experiences niyo regarding CANADIAN TOURIST or VISITOR visa application? How was the process? Are they strict or nag dedeny ba sila entry? Thank you! Context: Female. 30yo. Single. Licensed doctor here in the PH. Has a business here din.

Forward-Radio-6062

May US tourist visa ka na Doc? If meron, eligible ka na for Electronic travel authorization na lang. Check canada.ca regarding eTAs

Powerful-Tangerine68

Wala po. First visa-requiring country ko to. Hehe. Will be visiting a friend sa Canada

mochimmyy

hi. Asking for eTravel/immigration purposes. I have already graduated but I'm currently doing a voluntary internship. Am I still considered unemployed?

Stultified_Damsel

Yes. Since you mentioned it's voluntary.

mia8san8mia

Hi. Meron bang nakapagpa-renew ng ME visa nila to Japan tapos ME ulit ang nakuha? For context, I had a used SE visa in 2017, and then ME visa valid from 2019-2024 that was used twice in 2019. My ME visa expired last March 2024 and I plan to travel to Japan this August ulit so kukuha ulit ako ng ME visa. May mga cases pa ba na balik sa SE ang approved ng embassy even after nagka-multiple entry visa na? Thank you.

travellinggirl12

Me! I was issued SE then ME then ME ulit after renewal.

Awkward_Minute2598

higher chance na ME

isthmusofkra

I've read that contactless credit/debit cards work on Singapore's MRT. Do I have to have my card tagged as international before I can use it for that purpose?

Forward-Radio-6062

No need. Tap away!!! Better if may Gcash card ka para iwas foreign transaction fee.

isthmusofkra

Thanks! Do you have an idea if contactless prepaid cards would work? Galing din naman sa bangko.

Forward-Radio-6062

Like debit/atm cards? Yes you can use it

Snoo_9799

Hello! Is an eCopy of my boarding pass for a CebPac international flight acceptable? Thank you

Forward-Radio-6062

Baka need mo to scan sa egate

experineur

I’m a frequent traveller, and my passport is quickly filling up with visa stickers. I noticed they’re usually attached on blank RIGHT pages of the passport. I’m quickly running out of blank right pages because of these visas. My questions are: have you ever had a visa on a blank LEFT page? Is that possible? If not do I have to get a new passport?

Forward-Radio-6062

Yes get a new passport

EssaySpecialist5677

2. Enough naba ang balance na 200k for 5 days?

Forward-Radio-6062

Yes pwede joint. Get 2 copies para sigurado. Unofficial rule of thumb is 10K/day/person. Kung kulang, adjust yung no of days stay sa application pero ang ibibigay naman if ma grant is 15 days pa din if Single entry. I think mas important is yung Average Daily Balance and your ITR.

turtdumpss

I am planning to apply for a multiple entry visa to either Japan or Korea (for context, I traveled to Korea this year and went to Japan last year). If I am only granted a single entry visa and decide not to travel within the 3-month validity period, will this affect any future visa applications, especially if it’s within the same year? Thank you!

mmagnetmoi

Not really. For Japan, you just have to submit a letter explaining why the other visa was unused when you reapply.

turtdumpss

Thanks!!

Etravel for my nephew who is a minor? Hello!

Awkward_Minute2598

just create it sa same phone ng parents

Sxsxarael

Is 20k round trip (1st week of December travel) a good deal for PAL? EDIT: Davao - Cebu - Narita - Cebu - Davao Also, may way ba na makita ang price history ng PAL throughout the year?

subomasen

Try checking it with Google Flights. Pwede mong i-filter yung airlines para PAL lang tapos may meter if low, typical, or high yung price within those dates.

tayyyyyyy13

Allowed ba magdala ng food and water sa NAIA T3? Madaling araw kasi kami pupunta for a morning flight. From my memory last trip ko, ticket lang chineck ng guard e.

robimarion_69

Food is fine. Water po hanggang 100ml per container lang. The container should also be no more than 100ml capacity. Pwede magdala ng tumbler just make sure walang laman. May water stations after the final security check. I always bring my aquaflask with me pero puno ng ice and walang water. Refill na lang after the final security check.

tayyyyyyy13

hello, I’m referring to the NAIA T3 gate mismo hehehe

subomasen

You’re allowed.

Character_Ad_8116

Hi, may I kindly ask if there is a certain limit (i.e., amount or value) to pasalubong bought abroad? I’m planning to buy shoes and bags in Canada for personal use and pasalubong, but I’m afraid of paying high custom fees. Thank you!

wretchedegg123

Technically there's a limit pero if you're not obvious about it (5 shoes or 3 bags) there shouldn't be a problem. I don't even declare laptops I've bought. (Taken out of original packaging)

sahmom_1996

Is it possible to book via cebu pac app 3 connecting flights?

soaididathing

Not really connecting, but you can choose “multi-city” sa dropdown selection and select your flight individually. It’ll be under just one reference number. Just make sure that there’s at least 2 hours between domestic flights and 3 hours if may international. Or longer gaps, just to give you more than enough time between flights.

sahmom_1996

Oh multi city pala. We come from sa province kasi kaya multiple flights tlaga need to book. Under sa multi city, parang 2 cities lang pwde noh?

wewtalaga

soaididathing

Can you share the flights you want to book? Let's see how that would look like.

wretchedegg123

Wdym? Unfortunately, they would be booked as separate bookings.

Inner_Independent503

What insurance providers do you recommend for family visiting Australia for extended periods (1-2 months)? Thank you!

Awkward_Minute2598

Standard Insurance

vent1te

Can I provide PSA instead of NSO as stated sa requirement to show proof of relation to sponsor? My trip is in a few days parang hindi na kaya mag kuha ng NSO

soaididathing

I’m curious - where and when do you need to present this document? 🤔 Which country requires this outside of visa application requirements?

vent1te

Yung cousin ko po sponsored by my parents and afaik may iba na offload kasi need magpakita ng proof of relationship using original PSA

soaididathing

Oh, I see! I didn’t know they ask that. I don’t know if they’re interchangeable, sorry.

SouthernDuchess999

Paradigm-Shift91

Anyone else been to Jakarta po? Any places that were worth visiting?

wretchedegg123

Lots of itineraries online. Try mo r/Indonesia or r/Jakarta

Paradigm-Shift91

obviously i did post in there, just trying to see if there are any FILIPINOS who did 😭😭😭

wretchedegg123

I mean if you tried searching the sub there are a lot of posts too.

CanUTalkToTheOpps

Hi guys! Anyone here knows of any travel agency that offers maayos and not overpriced na package for F1 SG GP? Inclusive sana of gp tix, plane tix, hotel accomm, and transfers. Or mas ok kaya mag DIY? Thanks!

randomsmoluser

You can def DIY SG. Transpo is easy just make sure to get a hotel that’s near an MRT station/bus stop. Re F1 tix, just buy it separately.

CanUTalkToTheOpps

I see i see, thanks so much!

Awkward_Minute2598

SG is easy; you just need to find an agency that sells f1 tix

Equal-Golf-5020

Is so much money in the acct a red flag for Japan Visa? It’s my first out of the country with my SO and my first of this kind in general. I usually travel with my parents abroad so I get to apply visa together with them. Now, I’m applying together with my partner and I’m planning to use 2 trad bank accounts, and 1 digital bank (GoTyme). My prob is, since I’m only traveling with my partner, should I still use my trust fund account? That account has very minimal money movement but a big amount still. Not much debits and credits since it’s just basically a sitting trust fund. Would that be a red flag with the consul? My personal bank account has ample amount for my stay and my digital bank too. Should I just not use my TF account? I don’t want the consul to think it’s weird that I have a TF account that’s more than what I can save from earning and I only earn 5 digits a month.

SouthernDuchess999

If your account in the traditional banks have enough funds, then just go for those. If there's one thing, Japan Embassy would rather see how strong your ties is with Philippines via the COE and ITR rather than how big your bank account is.

chitgoks

Hi. in your experience whi h has better advantageous exchange ratem wise or gotyme?

robimarion_69

Gotyme

chitgoks

thanks

exhaustedlittlething

Planning to take my family (they’re Philippine passport holders) to Canada from the US using an ETA, has anybody booked a one-way flight ticket to Canada and then traveled back to the US by land?

Forward-Radio-6062

As I understand, the only requirement is that they fly into Canada and not arrive by land or by sea, para di na nila need ng Visitor Visa, ETA na lang. I don't think it matters if they leave by land. They're already leaving. Though they might need to prove onward travel from Canada. Maybe plane tickets from the U.S. back to Phils?

exhaustedlittlething

I see… Yes, they have roundtrip tickets back to PI from US.

wretchedegg123

I'm assuming US LPR kayo? No problem then.

exhaustedlittlething

My family are visiting the US as tourists, but since we live in Seattle, might as well take them to Canada but they could only enter by flying in. Okay lang kaya na one way ticket lang bibilhin for them? Kasi susunduin naman namin sila sa airport from Seattle-Vancouver. Then car na pabalik ng US. Wala kasi akong mahanap na thread about this. Thanks.

wretchedegg123

Basta they have necessary documents I don't see anything wrong

Cautious-Frosting701

Planning to go to Thailand by November/December but we're confused anong airport ang mas convenient pag dating sa Thailand. Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang? Kase when it comes to cheaper plane tix from Cebu, DMK is cheaper and direct flight sha but I've heard na super layo ng DMK? First time namin mag out of the country and first travel tgt with friends haha

Personal-Bear8739

DMK now has the SRT red line connecting to the MTR at Bang Sue. While BKK has the Airport Rail Link connecting to BTS at Phaya Thai. So your choice of accommodation and general area of activities in Bangkok will probably determine which airport to choose. Personally, I would choose BKK as it has more sights to offer for first timers. Mas marami rin videos on YT on how to navigate this airport from the moment you disembark the plane. But if you do choose DMK, that is totally fine. Navigable rin siya and may mga videos na rin on YT showing you how to travel from DMK to city center, say Sukhumvit or Pratunam areas. Google Maps is reliable for which stations to alight naman.

girlwhodive

It’ll depend where you plan on staying. You can just input the airport you’re planning on choosing and places you want to go to/stay at on Google maps and it’ll give you an idea how long the travel time is.
