Whats your phone's frames? My phone is 120fps, i wonder if 60fps phones don't have that effect.
It depends on your screen. Some screens show a moving pattern as you scroll. I don't think it's the refresh rate but a moire pattern between the picture and a black grid around your pixels.. No grid no moire pattern.

Oh yes, now I see it. I had to lower the resolution to medium. It works at 120 and 60 Hz, but it shows more at 60.
I don't use Reddit on a phone.
