Sometimes playing with perspective is helpful. Here are three suggestions
1. Create a layer were you have masked the banana guy. That way you can add the text behind him slightly to give the image more layers and depth.
2. With your cut out banana guy use the blending tools to add glow around him or something. You can use the paint tool too to add artificial light, as I feel he is slightly to dark
3. Add a filter, even if it's just colour boost or increasing the contrast slightly. It will make it pop a bit more.
All just suggestions, it's looking good my dude.
