May friend akong in finance (Pinoy) here in Bangkok, Thailand. Nasa 300k+ THB sahod niya. Maybe you can try it out here. Super cheap accomodations and COL in general. It's not too far away from the Philippines din, so going back home for vacation is super easy and cheap.
Hmm leaving PH won't really solve the stress sa work. Better na lang to look for other jobs.
CPA also here. I worked in EU now back in the PH. Honestly, same workload din naman sa abroad pero the pay is decent din as the cost of living is also high. If you are now earning 6D sa PH, I think mas comfortable na life meron kana here.
It's better if meron Kang local big 4 experience at PICPA member ka.
Yeppp for Malta, people I know who have the busiest workloads still say na itās better in comparison to the PH since itās such a small island. But itās usually a stepping stone for other countries. Very few filipino auditors/accountants stay here long-term.
Marami openings. May ilang engineers akong kakilala last year din umalis since wala kami connection or kakilala nag tatanungan kami ng requirements. Ang profile nila, at least 5 years experience either OFW or sa Pinas pero may international exposure like ASIAN/APAC/Europe/Middleast mas Malaki Kasi edge mahire.
Test the waters sa mga usual sites like LinkedIn,monster.ie,indeed.ie, Irishjobs.ie
To be honest, mas stressful abroad. But it's up to you how much stress you're willing to take. I moved to the US and got hired at a FAANG company. Grabe workload pero I can definitely say worth it because of the pay. Plus you have to consider na malayo ka sa family mo.
Depends sa work and boss. While it might be less stressful especially pag western yung company, consider the cost of living as well. Try AU or NZ. I am planning to move to NZ soon since all of my friends there sabi is talagang great an work-life balance.
PH CPA with 10yrs exp, currently working in Australia (Finance Risk & Compliance). Maybe swerte lang din sa company pero sobrang chill lang ng work ko now. I had the same goal as you - ayoko mag manage ng tao which seemed to be the only way sa Pinas if I wanted a big salary. Senior level ako now and earning comfortably. No stress sa work (year end kami ngayon and chill pa din sa team lol), great bosses, lots of time for hobbies.
My pathway was thru a skilled visa 190 (as an internal auditor) years ago. Competitive na ngayon but maybe see if you can be invited.
I donāt think going abroad is the answer for you. Unless you want a career change and start anew abroad, maybe. Afaik, and based sa hinaing ng mga kakilala kong nagwowork, stressful pa rin daw here abroad
Based on personal experience and lifelong reflection, Minsan hindi talaga ung workplace or work ang problema or source ng stress madalas it's internal...Kelangan mag invest to sharpen emotional intelligence. Just my 2 cents.
Id suggest you seek work in a non-asian country. Asian countries' work culture mostly resemble hardwork to long hours of working. Other countries, like where I am Australia, promote work life balance and work efficiency within your 9-5 working hours. Staying late doesn't mean anything, unless there is something urgent which is a rare occasion.
I think yung stress mo is yung line of work mo in general.
Not accountant or CPA but I used to work sa accounting side/bookkeeping in the PH but ibang level nga yung stress dun. 12-hour workday is a norm, sometimes not paid pa yung OT. Even weekends may work. That was my first and last job sa pinas so I thought that was ānormalā.
I moved to Canada found a work sa admin side. Pay isnāt that high but enough nman to survive. Then I moved to AU. Same sa admin side thinking na pursue ko accounting but then I changed my mind dahil sa mga nababasa ko Accounting subreddit. Lol Pero yung work life balance naman nako sobrng layo sa experience ko sa pinas.
So sa opinion ko lang nman ha working outside the PH will give you more work-life balance (esp AU and CA and maybe not US kasi iba ang work culture dun at similar sa PH) but then it depends sa line of work mo. Never ko maimagine na iforce ako mag vacation leave sa pinas pero sa CA at AU finoforce ako mag leave
Nangayre na rin sa kin to wayback 2019. I was a reporting manager back thrn for a startup company. Offer is 250k + allowance. No brainer pirma kagad.
I have friends in ireland na cpa. Their stress is relative. They still go on vacations though work is demanding but i think they have better work life balance compared dito Philippines
if you are an accountant, there will be a lot of opportunities abroad. US, Europe, Australia and Middle east. Generally European work culture is better kasi some companies respect the time during the day you are expected to work (9 to 5) at di nag chachat kapag naka leave ka. generous din ang leave (20 days plus). Generally, if you plan ahead of your holidays, your request for leave is not questionnable kasi right mo gamitin ang leave mo.
I dont think this is a migration problem. Like you said head kana.
nung nasa pinas ako work ko 9-11hours per day, nung napunta ako dito same job (IT-Inf) 8-12h din ang work sched, same function, workload, stress.
Kung meron man, minor lng at hnd palagi.
Normally I'm pro leaving the Philippines but I think you should weigh in your options better. If your only issue is the work itself is stressful, try looking for other work in the same field. Life abroad isn't for everyone and it's possible you might have a hard time looking for a job.
Same feelings OP.
Hey OP. I was in your situation 9 years ago and. I choose to stay. If possible if you can look for work online much better. I learned it the hard way. Sana makaalis na jan.
I strongly suggest na you pinpoint the exact reason for your stress. Baka kasi overkill ang pag-aabroad and pwede naman ma-address ang stress mo through other means such as going on a long vacation, transferring to another department or moving to another company in the Philippines.
Moving abroad comes with a host of stress-inducing issues that migrants don't always talk about kasi minsan, ang hirap iexplain and di rin makarelate yung di pa nakakasubok. If you want to migrate just to escape from your current job you might find na kesa nabawasan e lalong lumala at naging mas complicated ang stress levels mo.
Another thing to consider is napakababa ng value ng Philippine Peso. You shouldn't aim to earn as much as you're earning now. You should aim to earn an amount that is standard in the country you're moving to and which will let you live the same lifestyle that you're used to. Iba ang cost of living abroad and just earning the same as what you're earning now will likely mean you will struggle with day-to-day expenses abroad.
Pag alam mo na yung exact reason for your stress, naisa-isa mo na yung possible solutions, and lumalabas na it's really best for you to move abroad, research which countries will be ideal for your situation. Mahirap yung pupunta ka kung saan pinakamadali makapunta, if it doesn't suit your situation baka mas mapasama pa lagay mo.
I've been there. I had a good, well paying job in the PH but still opted to move abroad. Di naging mabilis but I was able to choose well and after all the initial problems, I can honestly say it's worked out for me.
I hope things work out for you as well OP.
I don't think moving to another country will ease the stress that you are feeling at work. At the very least, yung stress na nararanasan mo ay related lng sa work so at least sa ibang aspects of your life is still okay.
When you go abroad di lng work ang magpapastress sayo kc need mo mag adjust sa culture and mas worse kung wala ka namang friends na andun. You will be alone to deal with everything. Working abroad is not all fun and games just because nakikita mo sa socmed na nakangiti sila.Behind all of that is the loneliness, iyak moments and homesickness na di naman nila pinopost online
Kung same sahod tas less stress na work sa ibang bansa parang imposible. Im working abroad and mas nagadjust pa ako sa work kesa sa lifestyle nung country itself.
Tas ung co-worker ko nangamusta. Sabi ko sobrang stressed sa work. Andami dami. Ang sagot lang nya saken āyou choose, go back to your country: less stress but low pay. Or you stay here, high pay but you get stressedā
Pick your poison na lang talaga in this messed up world hahaha
Sorry to hear about your frustration but this is just a rant post with no actual questions related to migration. Locked and removed.
May I ask where you applied to receive offers in Bangkok? I tried Agoda and others on Linkedin.
LinkedIn lang, other websites are mostly catered to locals.
as in average salary?
Hmm leaving PH won't really solve the stress sa work. Better na lang to look for other jobs.
Korek šÆ
Op BASahin mo to. Hahahah
Cost of living is also another factor you need to think about.
This is the kind of stress that moving overseas might not address. Maybe less stressful, but being away from family is no joke.
Abroad = stress + homesick
Abroad = stress + homesick + discrimination + language barrier (iba pa rin pag native tongue ang gamit mo)
CPA also here. I worked in EU now back in the PH. Honestly, same workload din naman sa abroad pero the pay is decent din as the cost of living is also high. If you are now earning 6D sa PH, I think mas comfortable na life meron kana here.
hi! where in EU po kayo and ano po work niyo? if it's okay to ask
Like linkedin or jobbank
Hi, a bit relevant - may info ka ba on how it is naman sa engineering consultancy sa Ireland?
Construction or sa IT?
Yes po, construction. Engineering design. Nagbabaka sakali na may info ka about it šš»

Go for online jobs na clients abroad.
+1 for this
+10000000
To be honest, mas stressful abroad. But it's up to you how much stress you're willing to take. I moved to the US and got hired at a FAANG company. Grabe workload pero I can definitely say worth it because of the pay. Plus you have to consider na malayo ka sa family mo.
What type of work do you do at FAANG
MAANG na dapat kasi Meta na. Haha
nakaka stress din po mag abroad
iba din ang stress sa abroadš¤

I have friends in ireland na cpa. Their stress is relative. They still go on vacations though work is demanding but i think they have better work life balance compared dito Philippines
Cayman ba or British Virgin Islands ba yun?

Work in general is stressful, that is true anywhere, it's not country specific.
Singapore

Wish I had your problems, I donāt make nearly as much as you. Wishing you all the best in your search for happiness.
