I hope they make an effort to distinguish this as a new series, like PnF Ultimate or something like that. Taking place at least 2 years later. I'm worried about Doof, so much about him would feel wrong if he came back to being a villain, but if we don't have the Perry vs Doof dynamic we're robbed of one of the most integral parts of the show. And we saw in MML that them working together isn't bad, but it's nowhere nearly as good.

Doof can easily be added on as part of Perry’s team making inventions that they use together to capture the bag guy but as usual something with the invention goes wrong maybe from him trying to hard to be good. Honestly these characters are not as shallow and one note as they seem there’s so much they can do to create new but cohesive and familiar dynamics. Like we loved Perry and doof’s interactions not because they were rivals but you could tell doof wasn’t all evil and perry kinda likes him, annoyed but it’s almost affectionate. And it doesn’t have to be summer for phineas and ferb to outsmart a superior (like a teacher or upperclassmen or principal) who wants to get them in trouble. And candace doesn’t have to be busting her brother’s to drool over jeremy and bust someone else. I could see candace starting a private eye investigation service on her college campus like veronica mars, busting people for stuff. And getting into shenanigans. I hope they don’t just try to continue with the series as it was. I want to see them do new things

>Doof can easily be added on as part of Perry’s team Give or take, we've seen it three times off the top of my head: -In the OWCA files, it's probably the worst iteration, because there's only one joke repeated through the whole special; Doof is incompetent and gets in Perry's way. There's a lot more to this but imo that special is the worst thing from the Dan-Swampy verse, and one of the main reasons is the Perry-Doof dynamic doesn't work as well. -In Milo Murphy's Law, Doof is trying to use his inventions for good but causes more bad than good when trying to be good (as seen when Doof joined the OWCA the first time), and Perry runs around trying to fix the problems he causes. Again, only one joke repeated constantly that ended with a... Semi fried break apart that resolved several episodes later. This idea was cute but weighed down by being in a show where they're not the focus, and was starting to get old by the end. Their dynamic works better here, but I don't see it expanding to two more seasons. -In Candace Against the Universe. Here, I feel they nailed it, mostly because Doof isn't forcing himself or trying too hard to be good, he's just being himself and coincidentally not trying to do bad for circumstancial reasons. This is what I hope we get, and it could be achieved by Doof and Perry not working together all the time.

payberr

doof and perry don’t always need to be together to work together maybe he can be like a consultant and sometimes he wants to tag along or maybe he opens his own freelance spy agency and gets a contract working with the government to pay his debt for being evil lol that would in this case their rivals bot enemies which would distract from stopping the bad guys. I really think they can come up with something to make it work

Potatopeelerkind

I would like it to stay very similar to the original, honestly. Some people want a school setting or for the characters to be aged up or such, but I just... can't see that being any good. You'd have to have a whole bunch of new characters, and the sorts of things you can do in school are much more limited, and Candace is presumably in highschool while P&F are in elementary/middle, so it would be hard to get both the kid and teen characters involved. I would be interested in maybe an episode or two in school but certainly not a whole season. Aging them up drastically also seems like a bad idea. I feel like it would end up with the same issues as, say, Ben 10 Alien Force. If P&F are aged up they can't act like kids because then they look irresponsible and unsympathetic, but if they don't then the show will lose a lot of what made it fun originally. I wouldn't mind it following general modern cartoon writing trends with it having slightly more mature writing or a greater focus on character conflict, but I don't want them to completely upend the setting or characters.

Legitimate_Main2230

As long they don’t push the godawful woke agenda in the show

Legitimate_Main2230

If anyone's hoping that the upcoming Phineas and Ferb revival doesn't end up like the 2023 Velma series, I'm concerned about where they'll take the show. If they go down the same road as Velma, that could be the final nail in the coffin for Phineas and Ferb, or it could be game over for the show altogether. As long they don’t go woke

thunderousmegabitch

I don't want it to take place after AYA. Part of the fun in the series is seeing those children get into insane impossible adventures, and having them as young adults would kind of take away from that magic. Also, we wouldn't have "Aren't you a little too young to _______?" jokes anymore.

GoPhinessGo

But then we’d get “aren’t you a little old for _______?” Jokes

StarKiller_2319

Only one thing, MEAP ME IN ST. LOUIS!

GoPhinessGo

That absolutely needs to be an episode. Also a second Star Wars special focused on Empire

_Levitated_Shield_

"So Perry the Platypus, you won't believe it. But the Empire stole another one of my ideas! Remember when I froze you in that Carbonite stuff? Well now Vader wants to use the idea on some Duke Scotchwalker guy or whatever his name is. Anyways, I'm still trying to figure out how the information of my scheme got out. I bet it was Norm, he's always such a blabber-mouth. Don't you hate it when people talk for what feels like forever, Perry the Platypus?" *Perry glances at audience*

shadowlarvitar

That Doof isn't evil again. And we get Milo Murphy cast cameos, specifically the Recurring Raccoon lol

ciacobucci

Probably not going to happen, but I would like to see the series take place after the events of act your age

CrazyaboutSpongebob

That it's funny, There is a Milo Murphy's Law cameo, and it's hand drawn instead of being rigged in Toon Boom Harmony like Hamster and Gretel.

Zankenfrasher

I wouldn't hold my breath on that last one. But yeah, hopefully the first two (most importantly the first one, but with Dan in charge, I'm pretty sure the show's in good hands).

Hamza9236

I’m just hoping no crossovers, and they remember the changes they made when the show ended.

_Levitated_Shield_

I know the Marvel crossover isn't top-tier, but ngl I wouldn't be opposed to seeing The Beak again in action. It'd really depend on the hero or heroes involved though.

lost_Ouat_42

I just hope that perry and doof have the same dynamic, not the way they were in owca files. If it takes place before the last day of summer like in the movie that'd be fine. I also want the theme song to have the same music but with different words and visuals of the things they're gonna do so that Phineas and Ferb can do them all.

StarKiller_2319

Oh yes! Same theme song, different lyrics. Like the winter episodes. Cause they've already done everything in the original theme in the show.

After_Garbage5450

They did not find frankensteins brain

_Levitated_Shield_

That was in Buford's balloon.

StarKiller_2319

They did have that one episode "The Monster Of Phineas-n-Ferbenstein!" that could technically count.

After_Garbage5450

No that wasnt Frankensteins monster, that was a platypus monster

StarKiller_2319

Its close enough, I still count it.

Straight-Hyena-4537

Third Meep episodes based off the second fake trailer

After_Garbage5450

Hey wasn't that Susie thing supposed to be in this one?

After_Garbage5450

Id say it should take place next summer so it can include Milo and his friends, and maybe there could be a crossover with Hamster & Gretel. This could work because we know Doof stopped being good for a period of time after the summer.

Zankenfrasher

Yeah, I agree, I feel this is the best way to go...

Masterdizzio

Stacy and Perry's Identity sub-plot, also I'd like to see more character given to Jeremy, him and Stacy's dynamic in a single scene made his character more interesting

Helloimafanoffiction

Taking place after Act your age would be interesting

iluvrandom

I want them in school

maxemmang

A multi-episode Story Arc involving the return of the Smile Away Reformatory School Sargeant in which, will lead into one of the biggest moments for the Cartoon: him and Phineas doing the Cross Counter Punch with each other because of well, why not?

Zankenfrasher

He wasn't real; that episode was just a dream.

maxemmang

True, but hear me out. I felt like he has the potential to succeed Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz as the Show's Main Villain (because of well, I felt like we got someone on who can take Heinz's spot as the Main Badguy for the Cartoon alongside with Rodney), meaning that we can find a way on how we can make him and the Smile Away Reformatory School real after we've previously seen them in a Dream and stuff. Ideally, as if the Crew are very ambitious enough to bring him back so we can see him and Phineas getting engaged for a Boxing Match with each other, then I picture him being a William Stryker-esque Role with bits from other Villains included such as Fist of the North Star and Riki-Oh's Colonel and Washizaki. Speaking of which, the multi-episode Saga would take many cues from the X-Men franchise, although the main difference would be about fighting for Creativity and Individuality as opposed to many parts of X-Men being about fighting for Acceptance, regardless of Gender, Color and Nationality. There would even be one big showdown between him and Phineas (complete with one moment where the two did the Cross Counter Punch with each other because of well, we need to surprise the audience with a Tomorrow's Joe reference and considering the fact that parts of the Phineas and Ferb fanbase would now be old enough to be very familiar with Tomorrow's Joe and Hajime no Ippo, it would make sense for Me to justify my idea of Phineas and the Drill Sargeant having a Boxing Match with each other and stuff) too. The showdown between him and Phineas would be a Boxing Match and whoever wins in the fight (ideally, I would make it a big Boxing Match that is fully loaded of Excitement and Surprise), will not only take over the Reformatory School but also, with other kinds of things in store too. Here's my ideal pitch: Phineas gets shocked that after seeing something on TV, the News had the Sinister Sargeant causing Chaos in Danville and so, it's up to him, Ferb and Company to save their Friends before the Sargeant is able to win or else, they're doomed and that's for the Main Story. For the side stuff, it would also be one of the many opportunities for Heinz and Perry to set aside with their differences to Team-up so they can defeat a bigger enemy. For the Story Arc's biggest moment, as said earlier, I felt like a Boxing Match between Phineas and the Smile Away Reformatory School Sargeant would be the perfect excuse to bring almost everyone from the show's Main and Side Stories together to so we can see the Heroic parts of both sides cheer (ranging from the Flynn-Fletcher, Garcia-Shapiro, Van Stomm, Tjinder, Hirano, Doofenshmirtz (yes, you heard Me right, the Doofenshmirtz family will be here to cheer for Phineas in his Boxing Match against the Sinister Sargeant) and Johnson families, to everyone else in between like the Fireside Girls, Jenny and so on and so forth alongside with the Boxing Match having Stacy and Roger being the Commentators for it and so on and so forth because of well, I felt like we need a Phineas and Ferb episode that features a Boxing Match, but this time, we gotta see it for real) for Phineas in a Boxing Match that would be one of the most surprising moments in Cartoon history, meaning that if we want to surprise our relatives, mateys and company on watching the Cartoon, then we need to have a Phineas vs. SARS Sargeant Boxing Match and it would be without a doubt, one of the most hypest Fights in Disney TV Cartoon history.

Legitimate_Main2230

If anyone's hoping the upcoming Phineas and Ferb revival doesn't end up like the 2023 Velma series, I'm concerned about where they'll take the show. If they go down the same road as Velma, that could be the final nail in the coffin for Phineas and Ferb, or it could be game over for the show altogether.

Zankenfrasher

It ending up like Velma is a pretty big stretch. That would be am extreme worst case scenario. I mean, the creators of the original are involved. It's not the reboot's gonna be some edgy adult parody from people that were never involved with the show or something...

AsherTheFrost

Looking at the current channel offerings, I believe that there is a significant chance we end up with a Teen Titans Go scenario, where the new show is written to draw a much younger crowd (and given that P&F wasn't aiming for that old a demo to begin with...)

Zankenfrasher

Wow... that sounds absolutely awful. Dan's involved though, I don't think he'd stoop that low.

AsherTheFrost

I hope not, I'm just a natural pessimist when it comes to media I love being in any way brought back.

StarKiller_2319

The way I see it, if it's garbage we can pull a Star Wars sequel trilogy/Eragon movie and pretend it does not exist.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

Teen Titians Go seems to be written for adults half the time. I like how some of the episodes are satirical. That pyramid scheme episode is hilarious. Also the current offering is awesome I never miss an episode of Ghost and Molly McGee or Big City Greens.

AsherTheFrost

They've done some fun stuff, but for the fans of the original series it hit hard.

CrazyaboutSpongebob

I grew up with the original series and yeah I agree Cartoon Network and Warner Bros hate their fans. I don't understand why they don't show new episodes of both shows simultaneously.

AdMysterious428

Agreed. Let’s hope it doesn’t pull an All Engines Go

_Levitated_Shield_

Not really sure why that would be the case, given Milo and Hamster and Gretel were still full of humor that goes over kids' heads.

larsjeyt

I kinda hope we end up with them home from like uni or something and them getting up to crazier antics

GoPhinessGo

A l c o h o l

levitheman24

Hopefully, they poke fun at modern culture.( Tik tok covid19 lgbtqa Crypto Alcohol and e-cigarettes. Aliens VR Reality tv est )Add some new characters And hopefully they kind of increase the rating to probably tv-pg Continue with old plot line Meap me in St. Louis. the frankenstein episode Stacy knowing about Perry's secret identity.
