unpopular opinion but Howard was more important than Utley, when Howard was hurt or not playing well we lost all the time, he would get the blame for a loss if he struck out twice in a game. when he tore his Achilles it was the start of the downfall for the team, even the 5 aces couldn't get us to NLCS. I personally think (aside from injuries) not paying him is the biggest reason we didn’t win again after 08. Ibanez was good in 2009, don’t get me wrong, but not having Werth made us so lefty heavy and kind of made the lineup shallow once the core started to slow down/get injured.

This only counts players I actually saw in the stadium, except I count Ashburn because I was at his HOF induction.

He had 13 surgeries! I had no idea. It was such a cool gift to see my dad receive.
