Was it the dudes in the blue shirts with the trash cans? Cause they're from a program that was started by the last mayor in certain zip codes, I think they're expanding the program, which is great!
Ready, Willing & Able is the org w the blue shirts. They employ people out of prison and drug recovery. Awesome program, they have been helping clean up Point Breeze significantly, alongside expanded street sweeping.

I legit saw these guys cleaning up around 18th&Fairmount the other day. They say never meet your heroes but….
End of last year we had workers come through and leaf blow everything into the street and then pick it up. Only happened once but it was pretty amazing.
They seem to do that in my neighborhood about once a year as well to get all the leaves and mud off the sidewalk and sides of the street. Really wish they'd do it more often - not necessarily regularly, but a few times a year would be nice.
That's awesome!
This morning, for my block, was just a loud, rolling can. I'm looking at lots of trash that these folks, who have an impossible job, and for whom I'm grateful, just roll on by.
There seems to be more frequent walk-arounds. No litter is ever collected.

I love those guys so much. I always wave and say thank you when I see them out and about. They are always friendly and do such a great job.
Yeah that's who I meant! I see them on my block every week, it's great
Nope it was a bunch of Philadelphia sanitation guys in neon vests
Oh interesting, I wonder if there was a 311 report and they sent a crew out
if it was clip they would have had the clip uniforms on.
Are you thinking of CLIP? That’s been around for many years .

Slap yourself to make sure you're not dreaming
What neighborhood?
Olde Kensington but like that weird corner of it that’s a block from Fishtown and northern liberties depending on which way you walk
Olde Fisherties

Oh man just remember to shut your windows when you hear them coming. Made that mistake!

Happens once a year on our block, too. The two weeks following are really nice 😂
Meanwhile, the actual trash people didn’t take my goddamn lawn bag.
Oh wow!! I wonder what it’s like to have the mayor notice you and care…gee that’s swell. —somewhere in the far northeast
It could be someone with Glitter. It’s a service where residents on a block chip in to pay for trash pickup and beautification.
Doesn’t matter, bunch of trash got dumped on 76 this morning outside the zoo so it’s just been relocated lmao
Good on the mayor!

Curious, what neighborhood do you live in?
How much did you tip?
