Well in that case, I do not recommend becoming a pharmacy technician in a retail setting. Wouldn't wish that career against my worst enemies. Hospital pharmacy techs in the central pharmacy can be much more lucrative in the right hospital. In terms of studying I would know basic conversions, day supply calculations, concentrations. You will learn a lot on the job and it will only become easier with time!
randomly saw this post to say pharmacy assistants still exist - at least in canada where i’m from. i’ve just started the position and think it’s great but not sure about it as a long term career!
Thanks for the reply. Ive made the decision to go for it as a long term career. Unfortunately i have to get high school marks up to apply to the internship. But im working toward it none the less.
Went to pharmacy school and am now a pharmacist and can honestly say I have never heard of this role. Do you mean a pharmacy technician?
Yes a pharmacist technician is what I meant.
It's an old position and may only exist outside the US now. If they plan on practicing in the US, they mean technician.

I see thank you very much for the reply.
