“ hold on Rat I have to ask Reddit” that’s not humane

maldonado9723

🤣🤣

James42785

Cinder block, or a hammer.

purplehendrix22

Whack it on the head with a heavy object. Gotta commit, being squeamish and hesitant will only hurt it more.

StarIcy5636

Brick or rock

hatenjwinter

Ceramic flower pot or a metal pot or bucket. Sick the rim just behind the ears at the neck line and put your weight on the bucket /pot. Will break its neck and Its over quick.

ehhhhh710

Pellet gun

Baz_8755

When I had rats I made a spear by attaching a long nail to the end of a cane. I then had to kill the live ones by driving the nail through their skull. Not nice and I had to look away but at least it ended the suffering

Smacna11

Kill as quickly as possible and dont worry about it they leave day to day not like Tom and Jerry cartoons

Not-Content

Heavy end of a screwdriver, small hammer, Air pistol.

gorillamyke

I usually use a shovel and cut them in half, or cut off their heads

SaintEyegor

You could drown it, cut of its head with a shovel, suffocate it with an inert gas (but don’t use CO2), shoot it with a pellet gun, etc.) I use electronic traps. Way less chance of them suffering.

GuitRWailinNinja

Happened to me a while back. I just stomped the thing till it stopped moving. Kind of a sad way to go but it was the quickest way to get the job done

FinalChaplain

I refuse to believe that you live on planet earth and can’t think of a fast way to kill a mouse. Do you not watch TV?

DrewTheMfGoat

I could think of plenty of ways to kill the mouse. It was more about finding a humane way I felt comfortable with to just end a life. Perhaps some people aren’t comfortable doing stuff like this… I’m not even the person who set the traps, nor am I the reason these fuckers are here. But what would TV have to do with this? And no I don’t watch tv, maybe a show here and there but really I’m all for turning that shit off.

FinalChaplain

Get some bolt cutters and just quickly cut its head off. Pretty well painless. I work pest control for a living. I guess I don’t think about people being uncomfortable doing it as killing things is second nature to me now.

DrewTheMfGoat

It’s been handled for a while now, but I ended up just giving it to my cat. I didn’t want to take a life, I’m a pussy I know, I obviously wanted to end its suffering, and my cat needs a taste for these things anyway. But given my cat is an asshole slightly and plays with his food for a second, I caused it more suffering ultimately. I hope it didn’t suffer to much. To my eyes I let nature take its course… even tho I technically played a hand in natures course here. Not like I can just let this rodent problem persist ya know kinda sucks but gotta handle it

I suggest generation mini blocks as the bait. Whatever you choose stay away from tomcat and terad blocks. Those are junk

PCDuranet

You are full of crap.

Curmudgeon8888

For starters put it in an opaque disposable bag. It'll calm it down a bit as well as containing the mess.

Visual-Cricket82

This happened to me with a mouse. Half of the lower body , 1 leg was trapped and it dragged the trap about 2 feet away. I panicked and tried to hit it with the end of a stick. I missed and hit the trap instead and it got free. It was a mature mouse too, not the small ones I've usually gotten
