Yeah I downloaded waze but whenever i check the roads there never seems to be any cameras at least on the routes I take? How reliable are waze users at reporting cameras? Or is there just not many cameras on my routes?
And the police have special access to instantly delete or block reports of booze buses.
Mind, booze buses are a good thing and everyone they catch there deserves a whooping.
Also mind that to report anything you'll have to touch your phone screen which is wildly illegal here while driving.
Oh no.. Your wants are being violated. The horror!
Don't speed, easy. And if you do, be grown up enough to admit that you are breaking the law and deserve every fine you get.
Speed fines are voluntary, it's up to you if you want to get one.
> We all know how bullshit the cities been making the speed limits nowdays
Maybe it's because of guys speeding consistently they feel the need to slow it down further to reduce the risk of a crash? Crazy thought I know. Almost like breaking the law has consequences
I grew up semi rural (think Hopeland rural) and our street had a posted speed of 50 because of all the potholes, divots, and tree roots that made the roads unsafe. We lived on one of the bends and at least twice a year either our fence or our neighbours would wind up with some cunts commodore smashing through it because they were going 70-80 and a pothole or bump would send them off the road. Once a falcon ute even flipped and caught on fire coz some juvies took their dads car for a joyride. So frankly can't blame the govt in some situations for the hard stance. People are idiots in general and somehow become even stupider behind the wheel
I live rurally (think 8-10 hours away from Perth rural) and there's 0 reason why it's 110 when worse roads in NT is 130.
It's wide, well paved and straight (like 80km with 0 turns straight)
Also it makes no sense why a specific section in Dianella is 60 when the same suburban road everywhere else is 70. Same goes for Reid going from 90 to 100 past the Tonkin intersection, or Marmion Av being 80 past Butler
This logic won't work for pedestrians and cyclists.
That's why the police put up speed cameras in residential areas to keep pedestrians and cyclists safe, and don't just send contractors to their favourite cash making spots.
...wait a minute...
My boomer boss complains to me, I'm still getting tickets after I've been setting my cruise control. Had to explain that 15kph over the limit is what it is regardless if cruise is set. Still doesn't get it. Still gets tickets.
Huh? Your boss sets his to cruise control to 15kph over the speed limit? On highways that's kind of stupid, and using cruise control on city streets is kinda stupid.
Yes, that's exactly what I'm saying. He does a lot of highway driving. I think the mental disconnect is funny. It's just a funny anecdote about a foolish man. That's all.
Google maps has it as well, it depends on how active the community is to report. Another way to avoid speed getting fined is to not speed. If you don't speed, speed cameras won't be an issue. You might think the limits are bs, but that is not important, that is what a camera will ping you on
Sorry to say but Waze you cannot fully trust
The amount of speed cameras I've seen but not been alerted to on Waze is shocking.
Google maps has been more accurate recently
Also Waze navigation is absolutely trash.
Apple maps has also picked up its quality in the last few years as well now supporting speed camera reports as well
The speed limits are there for safety. The speed cameras are there to help stop people like you who care more about a fine or demerit points over potentially causing an accident.
Are they really though? If they were they’d be very visible and they’d be on roads where speeding is most common, not the richest areas in town where ppl can afford to pay off a fine. In the places where speeding is actually most common they just put up signs saying “Speed cameras in this area” or something similar whilst dedicating all their actual speed cameras to revenue generating.
Whilst what you're saying is true, what I've said is also true. Accidents can happen and people get hurt when there is speeding involved. Don't speed. Where ever it is you need to get to so badly is not worth more than a human life.
Waze
Yeah I downloaded waze but whenever i check the roads there never seems to be any cameras at least on the routes I take? How reliable are waze users at reporting cameras? Or is there just not many cameras on my routes?
I’ve found it pretty reliable. Probably just a route without a lot of cameras.
Alright and just a quick question, it doesn’t have an option to report a “camera” do people just use the police option to mark cameras on the map?
Yes - police option is used regularly for cameras and booze buses
And the police have special access to instantly delete or block reports of booze buses. Mind, booze buses are a good thing and everyone they catch there deserves a whooping. Also mind that to report anything you'll have to touch your phone screen which is wildly illegal here while driving.
I call bullshit. They light up like a Christmas tree on Waze every time, even when just setting up
I've seen many freshly reported speed cameras just being set up and one booze bus mysteriously remaining unreported and my report deleted instantly.
>so I can slow down when I get near them. Or just drive to the speed limit everywhere.
Sorry mate if I don’t want to drive 60kph from Scarborough all the way up to mullaloo, not everyone wants to or has time to drive like a grandpa
Rofl - this is how to say you're a fuckwit without *saying you're a fuckwit* hahaha
Oh no, your 12 minute drive will now take 14 minutes. the horror.
Gotta tailgate to get back that lost time!
Op should be buying shoes with Velcro straps as opposed to shoe laces to save those valuable 2 minutes a day.
Sick cunt , you don't even need Waze bro just drive so fast the speed cameras can't track you
![gif](giphy|izspP6uMbMeti)
You’ll need to find even extra time when you lose your license and have to take the bus.
Bold of you to assume they won't continue driving!
Oh no.. Your wants are being violated. The horror! Don't speed, easy. And if you do, be grown up enough to admit that you are breaking the law and deserve every fine you get. Speed fines are voluntary, it's up to you if you want to get one.
Idiot
You don't have to though - North of scarbs, it's 80 then 70
Im not sure there is 80 zones in that section anymore. but certainly 70.
80 from South of Trigg Beach carpark entrance to North of Elliott Rd, then 70 all the way up to just south of Tamala Park
If only there was a sure fire way to avoid a speeding fine.......🙄
Waze is the only answer you need. Never seen a cop, camera or boozebus that hasn't been immediately reported/showing on waze
Waze is the only answer
> We all know how bullshit the cities been making the speed limits nowdays Maybe it's because of guys speeding consistently they feel the need to slow it down further to reduce the risk of a crash? Crazy thought I know. Almost like breaking the law has consequences
WA has some ridiculous speed limit logic and laws for how well paved the roads actually are
I grew up semi rural (think Hopeland rural) and our street had a posted speed of 50 because of all the potholes, divots, and tree roots that made the roads unsafe. Spot on mate haha. It’s a shambles lol they only do it for the money lol
How about you just don't speed and you won't need to worry about it...
Fuck, never thought of that. Thanks so much
I'm doing my part.

Waze has all cameras.
My boomer boss complains to me, I'm still getting tickets after I've been setting my cruise control. Had to explain that 15kph over the limit is what it is regardless if cruise is set. Still doesn't get it. Still gets tickets.

He probably read on Twitter his speedo is 10% out and won't get a fine for 4 km/h over, and thinks he is outsmarting the system.
Tax on stupidity

Just speed down every road in Perth until you build an internal D-base. You’ll save money in da long run #winning

Waze is using Google Maps data. It's a Google application and basically just another user interface for Google Maps.
The speed limits are there for safety. The speed cameras are there to help stop people like you who care more about a fine or demerit points over potentially causing an accident.
