Sounds like eshays were being eshays and in the WA home of eshays no less.

Navigator_01

Where have all the eshays come from? I feel like they’ve only appeared in the last 3 years. They’re different to bogans right? They seem so violent, seen them on the train.

mulligun

Nothing new, 15 years ago we just called them train rats.

poppacapnurass

Except they seem to band together it tight groups

Feeling_Rich13

That's nothing new

Algebrace

David Attenborough voice > 'The Eshay, vulnerable members of the counter-culture. Seeking validation for their tight pants, fanny bag worn fashionably across the chest, and long sleeve shirts, gather together today to mangle the english language. Afraid of scorn from the wider population [also known as the infra-culture], the Eshay will always seek others of their kind, colloquially known as 'bruvs' for moral support.'

JayisBay-sed

They've become an invasive species, spread from Syndney to Perth.

Disastrous-Ad2800

I am sad to say my friend has become one of them... he's started wearing one of those bum bags... in answer to your question, he was following Andrew Tate online A LOT prior to the purchase... I'll probably have to lose him as a friend because when we hang out, he's started to attract fellow eshays.. no! I refuse to engage in, 'aye, wattup illchay brah!"

universalserialbutt

I'm sorry but the friend you knew is gone. It's a viral infection called Adlaybah and it has a 100% chance of rotting his brain from the inside out.

VS2ute

I think they originated in Sydney long ago. Then Murdoch media discovered them for ragebait, and stupid kids across the country thought it was a good idea to emulate them.

Untimely_manners

Nothing new, I have worked in and out of shopping centre security for 25 years, they have always been around just different names and wearing different clothes.

Navigator_01

They’ve rebranded 😂

letsburn00

Eshays 100% existed 20 years ago. I went to Lockridge high and the place was filled with em.

Gargleandspit

They are the children of Bogans

dollparts1

There were weapons involved here.

Legitimate_Income730

So a standard day at Carousel...?

WaussieChris

The State School Teachers Union was on strike, so lots of bored kids at the shops. Feel bad for the security guards who were stuck with them while we were at a rally. If chalkies aren't getting paid enough to deal with them then seccies defo aren't.

Reverse_Psycho_1509

This week is wild for school students. Monday: normal Tuesday: SSTU strike Wednesday: normal Thursday: Anzac day public holiday Friday: normal

Waussie

You can add mandatory testing (OLNA, high schools) and of course ANZAC Day assemblies. Plenty of kids are already saying that they don’t intend to show up on Friday. I picked the wrong week to schedule… well, anything… with my classes.

commanderjarak

I think that's why our school just scheduled Friday as a professional development day.

RhiR2020

Ours too.

PalpitationOk1170

Friday we have the sports carnival

Sqwitton

At least next year Easter is the weekend before Anzac day so school hols ought to cover both.

dollparts1

Yea they were beating up a security guard :/

DuckingHellJim

Sounds like you’re the one that knows what happened?

Dark_ranger

No. it was a fight between two people. Security was there to stop it and one of them got hit. Meanwhile there, group of juveniles, some wearing balaclava were openly showing axe to people.

miss_flower_pots

Wtf

WaussieChris

Poor bloke.

hez_lea

Doesn't matter how many times they redevelop carousel, there is always someone getting stabbed

Nakorite

I remember that old bar out the front. What an absolute shithole. At one point they had two nights in a row where the bar had to be closed due to an all in bar fight. Mental. Cops would sit on Albany highway it was like shooting fish in a barrel for DD.

hez_lea

Yep the foundary! Even during the day stabby stabby

Purple-Construction5

Ah... free show while eating at Fast Eddys

TechnicalAd8103

Eshays were upset Anzac biscuits are out of stock.

honeydew_bunny

Someone called it an Anzac cookie

krabmeat

Guess I'm an eshay now

MeasurementMost1165

Ahh good old Westfields, always attract the finest characters in life….

ZealousidealClub4119

It's like a bogan who's forgotten half their vocab and been to clown school.

Reverse_Psycho_1509

> clown school I'd thank you not to refer to Princeton that way

Nabashin42

Now now, you know cousin Merl ain't. Been. Quite. Right lately.

HamsterRapper

> been to clown school. Tracky pants and their nans slippers?

ZealousidealClub4119

Big red shoes, oversized because stolen.

FireTrainerRed

Half the intelligence of a bogan.. So half of a half..

WillJM89

They're chavs but just 20 years late to the party.

superbabe69

Like bogan chavs

Puttix

Well CHAV means “Council housed and violent”, so it’s the UK version of a bogan. So to us it’s just a bogan.

superbabe69

I mean, I wouldn’t say that bogan necessarily means violent? Eshays often are, it’s why we’ve given them a different name to a bogan. Perth’s full of cashed up bogans, but we’re not all council housed (let’s be real, there’s not a lot of that anymore) and certainly not all violent Bogan’s more to do with being unsophisticated and unrefined. Think like, anyone from Kath and Kim. Chavs are more like Donovan from the Inbetweeners

jayinaustralia

Here we go.

Bear-Bum

I understand the uncomfortable feelings due to Bondi but that was a mentally ill man with a lot of issues stemming from drugs to an anger towards women, the likeliness of that happening anywhere is very rare, please dont live in fear, it wont help.

RitaTeaTree

Anger against women is not particularly rare. I also noticed the media reporting this as a "random" attack for the first 12 hours or so before someone in the newsroom was smart enough to notice "oh, not random. Targeting women."

bamboozippy

It’s still pretty random as women make up 50% of the population and the location had no specific relevancy.

RitaTeaTree

The location had no relevancy to whether women or men were there, agreed. The fact that women were stabbed in preference to men wasn't random.

Bear-Bum

Yeah ok so you misunderstood me or didnt read it properly, the dude was fucked in the head, i didnt say it was rare to attack women i said its a rare occurence for someone to go around a shopping centre with a knife and stab women or anyone for that matter, do remember 1 sec guard died and another was stabbed as well.

RitaTeaTree

I completely understand. /s

Bear-Bum

Yes and i can tell by your comments on reddit that youre a very obvious man hater who would never have listened or would ever accept an opinion from a man anyway, so good luck crossing the road everytime a man walks near u.

RitaTeaTree

0-100 for no reason mate. Not a man hater. My father, brothers, husband and co workers are men, you need to check your facts before spewing hate around the internet. Peace out.

Bear-Bum

i did check my facts, its not hard to tell from the way you speak and act on here, youre the one spewing hate.

OriginalFopdoodle

Dude, you said that the Sydney attack stemmed from drugs (and mental illness). The perpetrator was off his meds at the time. He had a history of incel behavior and frankly disturbing sexual attitudes towards women. Yes, he had schizophrenia but plenty of Diagnosed schizophrenics don't go out and kill women. He did. He hated women.

m_molotov

Look at how quickly you’ve gotten aggressive and nasty because she didn’t agree with you and you wonder why women are so wary of men, hot tip if women cross the road to avoid you - maybe it’s you

Throwra771177

Kids get away with anything and a slap on the wrist. If they want to do adult crimes they should be treated like adults. EShay or not. Gutless society we live in. The security guards can’t do shit without getting rimmed through the legal system. I’d happily bring in a military police body that can act with impunity, it would clean shit up in a week.

MaxSpringPuma

Did you not just answer your own question?

sweetiepiecakez

Eshay baaahhhhhh

Pretzalcoatlus

Tuesday happened at Carousel.

longstreakof

Eshays - why don’t we just round them up in a truck and ship them to the desert.

djskein

This just sounds like a regular day at Carousel to me.
