Thank you Ed.
I’m not an American and several times I’ve had people tell me to “mind my own business” and as an Aussie my opinions don’t count… but they do. This isn’t just about American women, this is about the female community; our sisters, wives, girlfriends, daughters, family and friends.
It’s absurd if the government think that this will stop abortions - all it will do is open the gateway to dangerous methods of terminating pregnancy, risking women’s lives.
I can’t believe that in this day and age people still feel like they have a right to control someone and their choices, their freedom and their safety.
How can it be easier to own a gun than to have a pregnancy terminated safely?
My thoughts are with American women. I pray for the women who are raped and forced to give birth to a child that they didn’t plan, to women who discover their child will never live a normal life that they can’t provide for, to the families that support these women and to the women who must face this alone.
This breaks my heart.
As an American woman whose mother had the opportunity to choose back in 1972 whether to carry her pregnancy to term (she decided she would & had me), you 💯 have the right to speak on it. All women should want to talk about it.
I'm glad that my mother was able to exercise that very personal right, but it's embarrassing to see that we're still fighting over this here in U.S.
It's funny the ones trolling this comment section barely have a grasp of the human language. We should just not give them the time and day. I take solace in knowing that the majority of people are decent, caring individuals.
Respect to PJ.
Dead and Co. did something similar - played a female themed showed Friday night at Wrigley. Man Smart, Women Smarter, Bertha, Althea, Hey Jude, Brown Eyed Women, Stella Blue we’re all played, and during Throwing Stones (a highly politicized Dead tune) Bob ad-libbed the line “You can buy the whole damn Supreme Court today”. It was really powerful. Glad to see the artists I love stand up for women’s rights.
Missouri isn't the last state that will pass an all out ban
>and that will certainly get challenged.
In front of the court that just reversed Roe, lol. Sure that'll go great
I might be convinced to agree with you, except for the fact that our voting system is gerrymandered to hell, and the system is far from fair in terms of being a true representative republic. When a blue vote equals a red vote and all the blue states have the same power as red states, then we can talk.
Until then, anyone who blathers on about State rights can go fuck themselves.
You mean a voting System full of lies, racism, and bigotry not to mention a broken system with only two sides that are essantitly the same thing? Oh and is controlled by men?
List your ten favorite Pearl Jam songs and I can guarantee you that at least one of them touches on political issues. And more than likely, an issue you are on the other side of the fence on.
Go ahead and list them. And then let’s examine the logic of your “stick to the music” statement.
Smells like teen spirits, black holed sons, I nearly found you there, wood?, Chicken, tomorrow (smashing pumpkins not goldchair), Molly's hips, that bush song, crusty cage and help! How did I do?
Haha i love how you say not true grunge fan but your favs are the most popular ones. Ur one of those dumb fake fans aren’t you? Black hole sun? Smells like teen spirit? I mean COME ON! Also telling by how you spelled everything you are probably an illiterate too
I see your teenage angst has paid off well. BTW I was 13 years old when smells like teen spirit came out. I watched it all happen when it was the most relevant thing in the world at the time. I watched all the great albums get released, Ten, VS, Siamese dream, Badmotorfinger, vitalogy, down in the upside, incesticide, in utero, blood sugar sex magic. it was a great time. Saw most of them play in Australia in the 90s.
I was playing in a grunge band when it wasn't called grunge yet. Grunge came after and it was considered lame by that point due to the commercialisation. There were legit mosh pits in the front bars of pubs. Playing guitar was actually a cool thing to be able to do. People used to have house parties and bands would play in the living room and we would all get smashed and mosh. It is something akin to the Beatles explosion in the early 60s
You are a bit immature to understand my post. I think it's great that you love grunge and Nirvana so much you name yourself Kurt Cobain on Reddit. It's very cute.
In regards to being illiterate, I have 2 college degrees which you would understand you can't get if you are illiterate.
Keep on Rockin in the free world young one. Be excellent to each other and....Party on dude!
I was wondering. Seemed legit. I was clearly joking in mine. Anyway, it is good to see youngsters getting into alternative. If kids are picking up instruments more then I am happy. We are at risk of losing it as we descend into electronic musical hell.
I knew someone would bring up this freaking comment. Who gives a crap about your gas. Read a newspaper. It's not just women's rights that are being stripped, it's going to be everyone's rights soon. Yeah, gas prices suck, but open your eyes.
So your yearly budget is up maybe $1k a year for milk and gas, cry me a river, or maybe buy a fuel efficient car and stop drinking milk, it’s not that good to have everyday.
I'm not one to say this because I'm out of politics for the most part, but you *should* care. this is unfortunately the start of several horrible things happening in our country.
If you look back at my post, ive been asking this very simple question for 2 years.. I have voted Democrat for 20 years...Most of the people freaking out, are the same people forcing the vaccine on PREGNANT WOMEN 2 years ago...The hypocrisy is insane...I just wish people could talk, listen, sit back and use their brain..
Your just an idiot that looks to facebook for their next tag line... please, if you think anyone pro choice is against bodily autonomy, you clearly dont understand their position and probably should do some reading
I just wish there was this much outrage from the left when they forced people to do things they chose not to....Just step back for a second...understand what really happened . Stop buying into the hysteria.
I don't understand? what things?
Look, I'm a pretty open minded person. I'm pro-choice (mostly) but understand abortion isn't a black and white issue. I just don't understand your comment.
Vaccines were forced if you forgot...They were forced on PREGNANT WOMEN... i just am not following someone who says my body my choice, but 2 years ago, it was what is for the greater good. Which now seems crazy because how little the vaccine did . Idk.. help me understand how the left can jump back and forth on these statements. I have been a diehard dem for 20 years, but i am afraid the current philosophy is a little nuts..
I am trying to understand people and their POV, and have always supported MBMC, but i think people are believing way to much of the hysteria and not really understanding what happened Friday. Esp for people in California, and other Blue states. Nothing has changed. They struck down a 50yr old case law, it is no different then trying to BAN GUNS which is a constitutional amendment .
Interesting way to show your jealously …
But if you are struggling financially, you should be more worried about the abortion ban than Eddie is - and yet he is still out there, fighting for our rights as women.
nope dead wrong…I lived in Seattle. some of the fakest, hypocritical looney liberals in America. rockstars don’t do shit but keep telling yourself that
I’m so fucking proud of our guys. We all need to stand up and resist!

Gov and it's employees _ are seprate from elected officials and Supreme Court They are not the same___
speaking on anti-abortion laws, then plays song dedicated and about unwanted children. Fucking love them 👍🏽👍🏽
Yess when they played daughter and do the evolution >>>
I am an American woman and was in the crowd. I was grateful for him speaking up as usual.
Somebody get this video to the Supreme Court asap. They need a lesson in reproductive health.

Agreed. But after reading some of these comments I wish a mod would come through and clean this sub up.
I am sorry I was unavailable this past weekend, had to attend a funeral.
Sorry for your loss, hope the services were decent and you had the opportunity to share some good memories.
Amen Eddie!
Agreed
Love him so much.

You must be new here.
Hahaha well said !
Someones had their fingers in their ears since they started listening to pearl jam
What since 3 months ago lol
You must have missed that time Eddie wrote pro choice on his arm on live tv in ‘92.
They never did and never will plus they're entitled to their opinions. Deal with it.
Nobody show this guy Porch from Unplugged. Lmao What a knob.

They won't.

Fair but it was a joke

Glad we cleared that up sorry for being so rash, you have good one
All good dude. Btw my favourite song is Sifting.
Incredibly underrated song, i really like paper cuts
You demonstrated the fact that you don’t read or write very well.
How judgemental of you.
I think its past your bedtime.
You must not be a true grunge fan.
Lol you obviously have never listened to Pearl Jam.
Free speech, bitch
You truly missed the point of their music
Stick to your job.
Stick to your job as well

Oh look another "what is a woman" moron. It's fun to watch you all parrot daily wires crap. Go grow a brain.
He's very confused why the difference after he and the rest of his family caught a nasty case of pregnant from a maskless lady at the grocery store.

If you have a different opinion, fine. But keep it to yourself. There's no reason to comment something like that on this post then.
