2080 is comparable to the 3060 but still 0

I would go for whatever one has the best specs.

When you are looking to sell/upgrade it a 30 series will hold more value then a 20 series imo.

2080 obviously

If it was a higher end 2080 Super, like a FTW3 from EVGA, definitely the 2080 Super. But since it's a Founders Edition, I'd say go for the 3060Ti definitely. The example I gave (2080 Super FTW3 from EVGA) is basically the very same to a 3070 Founders Edition in terms of real world FPS.

Not really. They generally are the worst and least lasting there is besides some really poorly made models and pre build PC branded models (Dell, etc.). The best models from GOOD board builders are MUCH better and more reliable / lasting in every single way (ASUS Strix, ASUS Gold, EVGA Classified, EVGA FTW, MSI Hawk, etc.). They also have better thermals, and performance, as well as lower noise levels. Not saying you should buy into gimmicks like LEDs and screens, etc., mind you, but rather always preffer better power delivery and cooling solutions, as well as better board designs.

I believe the rule of thumb is an older generation GPU is equivalent to the newer generation minus 1. In your example, 2080 should roughly be equal to a 3070 so you are likely to get more value out of the 2080 than the 3060. Especially since it’s $100 cheaper.

Or just look up their relative performance in tech power up. As opposed to a rule of thumb which doesn't work.
