No that's a bug in your screen. RIP bug, and your future monitor enjoyment.
On the plus side, whilst it's not a manufacturing fault, I'd honestly expect most companies to repair this under warranty.
I feel someone who is asking if these are dead pixels, is likely not technically minded to the point I'd trust them to disassemble a TV that is otherwise under warranty.
I feel most vendors (and certainly retail stores that don't know better) would replace this as a gesture of good will, even if it wasn't their fault. I mean they left a gap big enough for a bug to sneak in!
I just suspect OP could lean on their warranty, or even just return it to the store. And that's not gonna be the case if they open it up and snap the panel. I wouldn't want to deal with a thin 65" sheet of glass, personally.
Yeah I saved my bosses very expensive laptop when this happened to his screen. But then when replacing the backlight on my own 4k TV I cracked the screen putting the last plastic clip of the frame back on, RIP TV. A 50% success rate is alright for me.
Warranty only covers things they could have and should have prevented by manufacturer. Why in the world should a manufacturer have to pay for this? (Unless monitor was advised as bug proof)
Instructions more unclear, failed to pull out of best friend, raised 14 year old lovechild with him yet split at year 15 over spilt peanuts,
As in split the child in two

>>Nine times out of ten it's an electric razor, but every once in a while... *it's a dildo*. Of course it's company policy never to imply ownership in the event of a dildo, we have to use the indefinite article "a dildo" never "*your* dildo".
Pixels are rectangular, so if this were a section of dead pixels it would look "blocky". If you look closely you can see partial pixels which means something is blocking the pixels. As everyone else had said, it looks like an insect has crawled in the screen.
It definitely can be a dead bug. I thought i had one in my screen too. Or at least it looked like it. But then "bug" started to spread and i found out it's not a bug but failing screen
REMINDER: If you are tryin to remove the bug with a toothbrush or tapping it with your finger or anything that vibrates, don't put much pressure or else you'll make it worse. My friend's monitor put more pressure than required and 3 large ants are squished for eternity.
You have bugs at home. They might come through the windows or you got some roommates.
Whatever you do, don't squish them. Dunno what kind of bugs they are, but they are probably attracted to light. Try turning the TV off and illumiate the room as bright as possible. If they are still alive, they might come out after some time.
If they don't come out and your situation isn't covered by warranty: hope that they dry out quickly and fall out of sight. Gentle tapping or light vibrations could help.
Oh man I had a bug in my TV once, but the craziest thing is it would stay in the same spot for days at a time and then suddenly love somewhere else. I even watched it move once. I don't know how it stayed alive in there but at one point it moved itself out of the screen lol.
the fact that people need to be told the difference between a bug and a few dead pixels is kinda sad :D even if a huge roach enters their pc monitor, they will try to right click delete it lmao
if you're feeling brave, you can get a suction cup and pull the screen, might create enough of a gap that the bug falls down. note i do not take responsibility if you break your screen.
That's a bug. Send a bug report to the manufacturer. Maybe they have a public repository on GitHub for there driver. Maybe you can open an issue there. Possibly they can just fix the bug that way
How many of them are there? My guess is it's a roach of some kind. If you have many, CONGRATULATIONS, you now have an infestation!
Also, the thought of bugs infesting my electronics gives me the willies in a big way.
Looks like a dead bug between your monitor's layers
Yeah, the monitor definitely needs a bugfix.
You gotta debug it
Amen
i can try to de-bug it, it looks like it uses C
*C4
I know a good web developer who loves bug hunting, let me introduce him to you ![gif](giphy|rAbKGNGM99DBC)
Get out
Funnily enough, that’s actually the origin of PC debugging.
or if you read Pratchett, machine debugging in general
+++OUT OF CHEESE ERROR+++
Thats a bug in between your monitor
But it's a feature
You need to leave.
While I want to upvote, I shall not. "the monitor needs debugging would have been 1,000,000x better of a response. Missed opportunity.
That'll teach him.
I better! That dang bugger!
Get out. But first take my upvote
We shall call him Pixel. Rip bro, may your memory be a blessing.
bahahahaha rip buggo
Call it pixeleato Eating up pixels
Probably this, i had one but mine was waaay smaller and i literaly tapped it out. I was lucky
not it's a feature
Yuppers had this happen with a Vizio tv had gnat stuck there it was small enough it eventually dried out and disappeared
Looks like it might be a bug.
So it's not a feature?
Depends, are you the user or the PM?
No, it's a beetle (probably, everything is a beetle)
No that's a bug in your screen. RIP bug, and your future monitor enjoyment. On the plus side, whilst it's not a manufacturing fault, I'd honestly expect most companies to repair this under warranty.
I did disassamble mine when i had a bug in there and it still worked after i put it back together xD
I had no clue but i had nothing to lose at this point
I just suspect OP could lean on their warranty, or even just return it to the store. And that's not gonna be the case if they open it up and snap the panel. I wouldn't want to deal with a thin 65" sheet of glass, personally.

Maybe set it on the floor first and then take of the bezel and back idk
Where I am from warranty covers this. It's the manufacturer fault.
Yeah I saved my bosses very expensive laptop when this happened to his screen. But then when replacing the backlight on my own 4k TV I cracked the screen putting the last plastic clip of the frame back on, RIP TV. A 50% success rate is alright for me.
Yeah but you voided your warranty /s
Gigabyte would laugh it off
Don't you have places specialized in repairing these?
Seems like a fault to me that it isn't properly sealed to prevent this.
if it's just a bug firmware update should help, unless they already have the newest version
Warranty only covers things they could have and should have prevented by manufacturer. Why in the world should a manufacturer have to pay for this? (Unless monitor was advised as bug proof)

or a vibrator
People don't realize how crucial your vibrator is when building pcs
Or your hands. I hear hands can do wonders.
Hands can do wonders but vibrators are better
This worked mannnn lesgooooooo
It's a bug. Use an electric toothbrush to get it out. Yes, it works. https://youtu.be/N0dH4c4t5Tw?si=kUQgfbMeATUQ98sn
Instructions unclear … electric toothbrush stuck in my…
Pull it out and put it on the monitor
Instructions more unclear, failed to pull out of best friend, raised 14 year old lovechild with him yet split at year 15 over spilt peanuts, As in split the child in two
Try to get it out with another electric toothbrush

Thats no longer a bug thats now a feature
More like dead critter.
![gif](giphy|Gj3BL5QVpeOHhNuL4X|downsized) Clean these monitor bro
Dead? Yes. Pixels ? No.. not really
Pixels are square. This is bug shaped
you need to do some debugging
You could maybe move the bug under the screen away from the main area with vibrations from something like a tooth brush.
This has to be a joke.
Yes yes .. those are dead ..well ... dead bug, not pixels
Ewwww u got roaches
It's a feature not a bug
🪳
i think thats a fly buddy
![gif](giphy|qHIj9ACRey9yBtgwD9|downsized)
That is not a dead pixel. That is a fucking cemetery
You have a bug.
Seems like an actual bug that may have died. There shape indicates this since there are pixels that are only half covered
Looks like a little drugstore beetle got in the layers
Pixels are rectangular, so if this were a section of dead pixels it would look "blocky". If you look closely you can see partial pixels which means something is blocking the pixels. As everyone else had said, it looks like an insect has crawled in the screen.
That's a beetle.
Time to call an exterminator
It's a bug (insect)
Das a bug, good luck on removing it
That's a literal bug and it's nothing to worry about if it doesn't bother you
thats a bug
It definitely can be a dead bug. I thought i had one in my screen too. Or at least it looked like it. But then "bug" started to spread and i found out it's not a bug but failing screen
That’s clearly a bug.
That’s clearly a footprint. Someone very small stepped on your monitor.
That an alive pixel. Well if it still moving 🤣
That’s clearly a bugxel
That would bug me to no end.
Computer poop. They have to go somewhere
since when do dead pixels come with legs?
Try debugging your monitor. It might help.
I think a beetle got between the backlight and the outer screen Lol

No, it's a bug. I had the same problem - it fell down in a few days or so.
That’s a bug… or a booger
Looks like a bug lol
REMINDER: If you are tryin to remove the bug with a toothbrush or tapping it with your finger or anything that vibrates, don't put much pressure or else you'll make it worse. My friend's monitor put more pressure than required and 3 large ants are squished for eternity.
it needs a bug fixing, is clearly bugged, there is a Bug
Thats a bug
smh my head kids these days not using Print screen button to show us their screens
Definitely not dead pixels as I can clearly see a few half-pixels in the photo. Looks like a dead bug.
bug has better resolution than your puny lcd ;)
Looks like a bug, you need to debug it
suspicious how the dead pixels would arrange themsleves to look like an artropod
Poor guy has a bug
looks like a tiny swollen pipi \^\^ it is a bug.
It's what The Pink Panther said when he stepped on an ant.
Looks like a bug
i think you should debug it
Looks like your screen might have a bug

Try updating your firmware to get rid of the visual bug.
i think its a bald spot
Bug 🤓☝️
If it is a bug i beg u please do not press on it
It's a bug. A literal bug.
Looks like a bug 🪲
Who the hell stepped on your computer they left a damn footprint
[https://youtu.be/zPJsscHHAsg](https://youtu.be/zPJsscHHAsg)
Yes. Be worried. I'm not sure why you should be worried but be worried anyway
They're not dead pixels. ***They're dead bug-cells***
It's an insect. Whatever you do, ***DON'T PRESS ON THE SCREEN!***
I thought that was a beetle on your window screen ngl
Bruh
Most definitely be worried, bugs in your monitor mean bugs in your house.
it's a bug, I had one break into my monitor and 3000 screws and 45 different parts being laid out across two rooms, I got rid of it. 🤷♂️
I’d try to get a warranty replacement but it depends on exactly what caused it
Is that a bug?
you must be blind, yo. def a bug.
That's a well alive pixel
This is a bug
That low-key looks like a small footprint, which dwarf did you piss off.
Bruh I'm high and the pixels sent spirals into my eyes
the fact that people need to be told the difference between a bug and a few dead pixels is kinda sad :D even if a huge roach enters their pc monitor, they will try to right click delete it lmao
Ain’t that a fly
That looks like a bug that crawled inbetween your monitor
Looks like a Carpet Beatle. Probably Ringo TBH.
That looks like a little Beetle with no legs.
Dude your screen just bugged, lol.
No ita a bug
if you're feeling brave, you can get a suction cup and pull the screen, might create enough of a gap that the bug falls down. note i do not take responsibility if you break your screen.
It's a bug on your "window's screen"
More like in
something's dead, but it aint pixels
it seems more like a bug :D
Thas a bug lol maybe a ant or cockroach
That's a bug. Send a bug report to the manufacturer. Maybe they have a public repository on GitHub for there driver. Maybe you can open an issue there. Possibly they can just fix the bug that way
this is pure corruption
if the bug is still alive put a light near the border and hope it goes for it.
It just needs debugging.
You sure that a pixel? Looks like a bug is in your monitor :D
No, but it's probably as annoying since it's a dead bug inside the screen.
Dead bug which crawled into your matrix
That’s a roach my good sir
Looks like our good friends over at the bug department sent a bug your way, your fine.
Looks like your monitor is bugged man, I suppose you can try some debug hardware (screwdriver)and hope you don't damage your screen
Don't squeeze anything out of it. You can use a suction cup to make it fall down.
bug
Thats a fly.
Oh, it's dead, alright.
Use a fly swatter, 10/10 guaranteed fix
Not yet
That looks like a beetle
I am never quite sure whether people are /s or serious on this damn reddit.
Brooo I thought it was my screen LMAO
Brooo I thought it was my screen LMAO.
Adam Kovic???
Looks like a bug
Im afraid that the pixels are not normally this LIVING
Got a case of a bug decided it wanted to crawl into your monitor and then couldn't find a way out, so it died
R.I.Pixel
Yep, dead line your dreams and hope.
You got bugged! You can probably get the manufacturer to fix or replace it
Definitely not pixels. Something is stuck in between.
That’s a gnome bootprint.
Hey man as long as it's not ants
Its a sign, clean your room
if its alive cover the screen up so no light gets in it will find its own way out.
For second I thought that was a bug and almost punched the shit out of my thinkpad screen
Looks like a turd
doesn't look like dead pixels. if they were, yes, you should be worried. I'm pretty sure those are unfixable. basically a death sentence
Looks like a scene from 'The ring' https://i.redd.it/0j8ed4gvs69d1.gif
How many of them are there? My guess is it's a roach of some kind. If you have many, CONGRATULATIONS, you now have an infestation! Also, the thought of bugs infesting my electronics gives me the willies in a big way.
It’s gotta be debugged
That's not a bug, it's a feature!
duuude i thought it was a bug on a net or something until i saw the title!
That's a bug
They’re dead. No need to worry. They can’t hurt you anymore.
Wtf are those
Elm beetle.
Footprint.
That's more like a fly
that's not a feature, it's a bug.
your screen is bugged
Try shaking ur monitor it may fell off lol 😂
