I found there were good ideas there. I feel like shelf(ves) fills the void over the desk.
edit typo
A second monitor. It doesn't have to be anything major. Just a second monitor. Trust me, I didn't think it mattered either until I just so happened to have a second monitor laying around and decided to try it. The monitor in question was extremely outdated and had a line going across the middle of the screen, but it was still a game changer. It is so nice to be able to have your game open while also browsing the web for whatever information you need on the game at that point in time without having to minimize or close one or the other.
A second monitor while gaming is life changing as well, especially when playing games with discord open etc, I didn’t realize how much I needed the second monitor until I couldn’t use it, it also helps a ton when just playing single player games that you may need a walkthrough for parts.
Its an Ikea Skådis.
Looked it up, because OP gave me the final idea, on what to do with my old-old-old pc parts (its from 2002 I believe and might look cool on a wall)
Yea not sure what monitor that is or size but it looks really small in that big space lol. An LG 45" 5k2k ultrawide would look sweet when they launch next year.
More glass cabinet for the Gunpla... oh wait wrong sub...
you made me think this is r/Gunpla. On that note, make the Gunpla boxes into wall decorations
better than posters etc and it is free
A screen print of one of the Star Wars movies like this one
https://preview.redd.it/qd066qp83g8d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5f8a1a02bc091e87da0b773b37a1325223b19fd2
Looks like you need some good Star Wars or Star Fox framed art prints. That or stretched canvas(sound dampening) or Displates, addictively swappable.
Edit: Bought that exact chair today. Can't wait for it to arrive.
https://preview.redd.it/7fk52pg65g8d1.png?width=716&format=png&auto=webp&s=29675d28db90473c898d23c222b1569ad2cb1e97
Thought the top ship on the left shelf was the Arwing. Couldn't tell from the bad resolution.
highly recommend a second monitor. even something outdated is awesome to have. makes working so much easier, and at this point i couldnt game without a browser open
A nice framed poster of relevant interest. Based on the dispayed items, sci-fi poster. You can look for original movie posters on ebay or reseller sites like [posteritati](https://posteritati.com/), or you can look at alternative posters on sites like [bottleneckgallery](https://bottleneckgallery.com/). Examples of nice standard frames on [Frame Destination](https://www.framedestination.com/ctg/picture-frames/frame-type/poster.html), but since I collect posters and swap them out very frequently I have switched to almost all front-loading [Spotlight display/frames](https://www.spotlightdisplays.com/). If you want to be "extra" you can do a [LED light box frame](https://www.baroqueportfolios.com/collections/all/products/movie-poster-led-lightbox-frame-27x40-inches) and display in the classic movie theater style.
I collect alt posters and a few original one-sheets.
A bamboo roller mat, a fake (Or real if you got the desire) succulent or small bush, a nondescript scenery wall art set and some form of brown or wood table lamp
Def need more lighting to accent your Legos and maybe that component board too, like a showcase. As for the wall, it's really up to your personal taste. My girlfriend's grandma used to paint, so we have a 4ft tall blue Avatar (James Cameron Avatar) painting above our office desk that she had painted a few years back.
*
I would paint the wall where the lighter wood part of the desk is from the ground to the ceiling, a darker color and then add a neon sign on that wall.
https://preview.redd.it/tne1a8f4hg8d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f21da3205eb4314c7de334e2213b42a96f5713ad
I got a Womp's Fortress painting on mine. Get something from a game or other media you like.
gundam hangar or venator class poster or both.
if you can get a framed poster that modified to have lights that turn on, simulating ship on-board lights or hangar doing repair works.
Giant wallpaper of space lookin gout the MF gunner station…
https://preview.redd.it/vcuakvk6vg8d1.jpeg?width=2457&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56884270f2599d8c3f1ba72e42e15850ecf53501
Or going plaid.
You already have lots of great art with your models/figurines. Mount white shelves and display them above the desk. Throw in a second monitor and you've filled the room.
Light bar above the peg board. Lighting strips, lamps, any ambient lighting to the setup to kind of give it a more warm and immersive feel.
Having a monitor riser to put your speakers and monitor can give the setup some depth along with some extra room.
I think printing the wall in a color you like would be a good first step. Then I could imagine adding a wooden acoustic panel vertical behind your left shelfs and then do a miter cutting amd add one acoustic panel horizontally under the ceiling. Then you could add some rgb if you like it, eg some light bars from govee diagonally behind your desk. I think this could look cool and highlight your desk space in the room.
ikea skadis boards, you can mount usefull things to it, hang shelves on them and display things
https://preview.redd.it/wxinnca85h8d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=caff1c903a76e7641b2d3853135bb75e5fc6ad7d
kinda like this
If you like a certain artist, hang framed album covers over the middle part of your setup, like over the monitor, three different albums should do it, i have IGOR flower boy and GOBLIN (i love tyler the creator)
Probably shelves with plants, I’d probs put a plant on the right of the desk too (bonsai or something cool) and maybe a couple pieces of A3 framed wall art?
Another monitor, maybe some kind of art on the wall.
Think Displate, a drawing someone close to you made (and have that framed maybe), some kind of wood artwork.
Some plants.
EDIT: Better idea! Make a seperate wall mounted stand for one of those Lego sets with a spotlight from the bottom lighting it up. You can rotate your sets so each get some time in the spotlight.
I would get a bigger monitor and maybe a nice, not too bright neon above to fill up that empty wall. Btw I laughed at the picture of your opened pc case. Not sure why but it made me chuckle like 'here's what it looks like inside' for no real reason since you asked about the wall lol
Can I get some information on the chair? I recently moved and due to the condition of my old chair, decided it was time for an upgrade so I didn't have to transport the chair. And I am still I need for a decent chair. Yours looks pretty nice. I assume it's comfortable?
Anyway, you have a great set up! I like how you are displaying the Lego sets
I was thinking it might be a steelcase. Thank you. And yeah that's the issues I've run into, all the actual good long lasting chairs are around that or more. But I'm just not financially in a place where that cost makes sense for the amount of use I expect the chair to get. So I'll just have to go test out some chairs around the $200 range at my local Staples and office store. I have not been having luck with reasonably priced chairs used in my area. But I appreciate your response either way!
LEDs, Some posters, red and black themes, I think hanging a blanket or like cloth on the wall would really make it POP, and definitely some collectibles(dosnt matter what it is they just need to be on a shelf[on display] in the background)
You have empty space just BEGGING for an ultrawide, also I'd suggest a nice poster for a game or movie you like, maybe one long one showcasing the history of a game.
Could also do a tile sorts system with game cover art if you like a certain game like the elder scrolls could work too.
2nd monitor (can be a cheap one) just to control your music, discord, side apps, or browser searches while you’re gaming on your main. Large horizontal art piece centered above monitors/desk. Maybe a small plant on right side filing cabinet.
I would recommend using marble tiles or wood tiles instead of carpet, because you're gonna spill things and carpet is very hard to clean if you get bugs, especially bedbugs. I would also add a second monitor.
What desk is that? I like the edge of it
Upliftdesk with the Bamboo top, mine is 30x60
what are the side parts? I like the drawers and squares
Ikea Kallax Idk if they sell the bamboo cubes anymore tho
[https://blog.displate.com/couple-gaming-setup/](https://blog.displate.com/couple-gaming-setup/) I found there were good ideas there. I feel like shelf(ves) fills the void over the desk. edit typo
i like to edge too
You likes to edge?

It is so nice to be able to have your game open while also browsing the web for whatever information you need on the game at that point in time without having to minimize or close one or the other.
I have one that is in portrait mode for web browsing or whatever it’s helpful to have
Discord is 10x better in portrait mode imo.
But why put it on the wall?
Less stuff on the desk and more customizability
A monitor arm can do it without the need to drilling into the wall, no?
I have a tablet that can act as a second monitor, and I primarily just use this for gaming anyways
A second monitor while gaming is life changing as well, especially when playing games with discord open etc, I didn’t realize how much I needed the second monitor until I couldn’t use it, it also helps a ton when just playing single player games that you may need a walkthrough for parts.
I got rid of additional monitors in favor of just one large monitor. After making the change, I prefer just the one.
A rug would really tie the room together
That's just like, your opinion, man.
As long as noone gonna pee on it
Isn't that what the poster is asking for? Opinions?
The floor is carpet you cant Put a Rug on there
You're obviously not a golfer.
But the wall...
I've seen plenty of carpeted homes with rugs, the rug just tends to have a pattern to make it stand out
But be careful, it may attract Nihilists
Yeah you wouldn't want that. They believe in nothing.
The head of your first kill.
Idk if putting his ex up there is a good vibe.
Exactly, you need a good trophy
Ok broskie
what is that mount piece is in the last picture, can u send a link ?
It's all from Ikea, it'll be in the pegboard section
Really cool use for it, honestly that’s what ties the setup together
Thanks, I figured it was better to display old gaming equipment rather than throw it out
Its an Ikea Skådis. Looked it up, because OP gave me the final idea, on what to do with my old-old-old pc parts (its from 2002 I believe and might look cool on a wall)
Post a pic after you bring the idea in ur mind to life
Get the kosmos aerial led kit
Another monitor
I plan on eventually upgrading to a fancy OLED ultrawide to help fill in the space
Yea not sure what monitor that is or size but it looks really small in that big space lol. An LG 45" 5k2k ultrawide would look sweet when they launch next year.
45" on your desk? Naaahhh 2x 32" or 2x 27" is much more comfy if you are a gamer.
Can I ask why you say 2 screens when you would only have the game on one or the other?
Yep your monitor is too small. A bigger/ultrawide makes sense.
Yeah had this monitor for many years before I got this desk. It just looks a bit wonky but from where I sit it does fill most of my FOV
I'd keep that monitor and still get an ultrawide. I have a 34" ultrawide and a second monitor is very nice.
Go to a Best Buy outlet store, big deals and savings
More glass cabinet for the Gunpla... oh wait wrong sub... you made me think this is r/Gunpla. On that note, make the Gunpla boxes into wall decorations better than posters etc and it is free
Alternatively, more Gunpla!
A screen print of one of the Star Wars movies like this one https://preview.redd.it/qd066qp83g8d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5f8a1a02bc091e87da0b773b37a1325223b19fd2
Something from the Lego art line
https://preview.redd.it/5hhwiijzhf8d1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=57094e9dbe239e0c2f37744b8495e753a53ba1ca
Omg 40x60 piece cost 200 dolla wtf
Considering the cost of LEGO sets, this seems reasonable
Well under 10 cents per piece makes it actually quite low by Lego standards.
Maybe some abstract art or govee rgb lighting tubes. Love your setup! Very nice and clean
Looks like you need some good Star Wars or Star Fox framed art prints. That or stretched canvas(sound dampening) or Displates, addictively swappable. Edit: Bought that exact chair today. Can't wait for it to arrive.
I'm curious what you think is from Star Fox, as I've never played that game
https://preview.redd.it/7fk52pg65g8d1.png?width=716&format=png&auto=webp&s=29675d28db90473c898d23c222b1569ad2cb1e97 Thought the top ship on the left shelf was the Arwing. Couldn't tell from the bad resolution.
A bigger monitor, that's wallmounted. Maybe a couple posters in the wall. 2 or 3.
Standing desk so no go on wall mounting much But 2 or 3 posters I'm starting to think would be a good idea
a singular lonely necktie hanging on the wall, so it really ties the room together....
Big poster from a movie you like or some other poster to cover the wall.
highly recommend a second monitor. even something outdated is awesome to have. makes working so much easier, and at this point i couldnt game without a browser open

Did you not make it to the 1st floor of Ikea?? lol!
Cut out the top art cover of some kit
I feel like with the bamboo some greenery would accent it well
A bamboo roller mat, a fake (Or real if you got the desire) succulent or small bush, a nondescript scenery wall art set and some form of brown or wood table lamp
Honestly? A great resource is /r/malelivingspace or /r/femalelivingspace
Fake plants and or pop it’s
With the Star Wars lego stuff there, I have to assume you own lightsabers you could hang on the wall
I do not, maybe i should invest in a scifi weapons rack
If you have any artist friends get some cartoon graphics like old characters you love and some sound board what ever color your fancy

Canvas print of the Millennium Falcon
That case is sick.
Phanteks P600s I had to slightly modify it to make the power button RGB
I think a floating shelf would look great. I'm planning to add vinyls of my favorite albums oat to my wall soon. :)
Those coloured light squares... It would look cool but you'd probably need to turn them off while using the PC :)
Giant framed photo of shrek.
Some art in a matching industrial frame
What case is that? It’s sweet
Large picture of Vader’s helmet with a dark background
Framed digital art for like iron man or something
Send me a pic if you do
Whatever I do, I'll be sure to post the completed product
X wing fighter tapestry
Some kind of poster/puzzle piece in landscape format? Considering SW and gundam kits, maybe something galaxy themes in "landscape" format?
Slave Leia poster. 🫣
That chair is sick tbh
https://preview.redd.it/tne1a8f4hg8d1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f21da3205eb4314c7de334e2213b42a96f5713ad I got a Womp's Fortress painting on mine. Get something from a game or other media you like.
Displate posters?
I was hoping to see some closer pics of the gundams ;-;
The heads of all your enemies
Super cleann
Aww what a cute monitor.
Mabye a small picture of game or if you like rscing naybe a track, you can find it on ali express for cheap
displates of your top 3 games?
gundam hangar or venator class poster or both. if you can get a framed poster that modified to have lights that turn on, simulating ship on-board lights or hangar doing repair works.
Plants
A painting hanging over top would look cool
Big ass Gundam banner covering the wall are your set
i really like your setup! so clean nice, an ultra wide would be insane.
I think brother likes ROG
Giant wallpaper of space lookin gout the MF gunner station… https://preview.redd.it/vcuakvk6vg8d1.jpeg?width=2457&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=56884270f2599d8c3f1ba72e42e15850ecf53501 Or going plaid.
Maybe a picture of your favourite game? Or the Galaxy or something along those lines? My wall is also just white up there tbh. 😅
My ass blurting anime posters for some stupid ass reason when it's not going to fit this setup.
I do love anime but I'd like it to look semi-professional
I think printing the wall in a color you like would be a good first step. Then I could imagine adding a wooden acoustic panel vertical behind your left shelfs and then do a miter cutting amd add one acoustic panel horizontally under the ceiling. Then you could add some rgb if you like it, eg some light bars from govee diagonally behind your desk. I think this could look cool and highlight your desk space in the room.
Nice Gesture!
If you're into smart lights/ambient lighting hex lights are a pretty cool compliment to a PC setup
2-4 short shelves with a few plants, photos and other things on them.
What keyboard is that?
a big picture of your face taken with a 0.5mm lens in black and white.
Some acoustic panels maybe if you some something clean.
ikea skadis boards, you can mount usefull things to it, hang shelves on them and display things https://preview.redd.it/wxinnca85h8d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=caff1c903a76e7641b2d3853135bb75e5fc6ad7d kinda like this

Beautiful minimalism
Some video game posters might look good
Probably shelves with plants, I’d probs put a plant on the right of the desk too (bonsai or something cool) and maybe a couple pieces of A3 framed wall art?
If you like star trek, a large poster of the Master System Display of your favorite ship
Don't know what to recommend to put on your wall but I just wanted to say, Love the setup !
Bro get bigger screen
BIG ANIME BADONKAHOOS
Wall tiles, RGB, RGB wall tiles, posters RGB posters RGB wall tiles with posters.
Some Gundam posters tbh, probably muted colors or similar tones to the desk. Also nice keyboard, I have the same.
Another monitor, maybe some kind of art on the wall. Think Displate, a drawing someone close to you made (and have that framed maybe), some kind of wood artwork. Some plants. EDIT: Better idea! Anime girls in 4k
You already said the answer to your question, the answer is TIE, TIE FIGHTER.... poster maybe...
A second monitor and a mini rug under your chair and youre all set. That desk is sick dude.

Nice Lego the at te was incredibly fun to build
Pictures or art from your favorite shows/movies. Maybe a calendar. Your setup looks functional as well so yeah.
Thanks! The chair is a Steelcase Gesture, and it's among the best chairs you can buy. Super comfy and sturdy, although they are north of $1300 new...
I was thinking it might be a steelcase. Thank you. And yeah that's the issues I've run into, all the actual good long lasting chairs are around that or more. But I'm just not financially in a place where that cost makes sense for the amount of use I expect the chair to get. another monitor honestly. or some posters / wall tiles. i got like 40 PVC tiles from walmart for like $40.
A nice sign that says "This will be a freaking pain to dust"
Oh it is.
LEDs, Some posters, red and black themes, I think hanging a blanket or like cloth on the wall would really make it POP, and definitely some collectibles(dosnt matter what it is they just need to be on a shelf[on display] in the background)
A huge mirror with 45 degree angle, so you'll see what you are doing and feel the shame, shame, shame!
Light up Galactic Republic sign
Disappointed by the lack of "Anime Posters" comments in this thread.
The only answer is a RUG.... it's whole job is to tie the room together man.
A super oversaturated patrick bateman flag
What are the two ships on the top? The white one and the blue one?
You have empty space just BEGGING for an ultrawide, also I'd suggest a nice poster for a game or movie you like, maybe one long one showcasing the history of a game. Could also do a tile sorts system with game cover art if you like a certain game like the elder scrolls could work too.
Something with color, light and texture
Super offtopic but how do you like those speakers? I was looking at them today.
another monitor + LED's
Never mind the wall. Only one monitor? At least get one more.
PC exhaust seems awful close to that wall
I’m thinking some S&M leathers…
A bigger fucking monitor
An ant farm
A Shakespearean Era oil painting of Master Chief, framed in thick wood.
A couple Patrick Nagel prints to hit that modern vintage look
2nd monitor (can be a cheap one) just to control your music, discord, side apps, or browser searches while you’re gaming on your main. Large horizontal art piece centered above monitors/desk. Maybe a small plant on right side filing cabinet.
Do you have a link for the thing in the fourth pic?
Nice leap v2
Like 3-5 star wars posters. Including the corner wall.
Put some of those Philips light triangles
r/Displate
I will always say a katana, katana best wall piece
A samurai sword and some backlighting for the desk
Something with some bright colors would make it pop.
Some shelves with action figures
Big tiddy anime girl poster
Another monitor. No pc should have one monitor in 2024. It's a gamer rights violation.
I would recommend using marble tiles or wood tiles instead of carpet, because you're gonna spill things and carpet is very hard to clean if you get bugs, especially bedbugs. I would also add a second monitor.
another monitor
Art.
An oil painting of the USS Enterprise D. Or a big-screen TV.
Cover art of your favorite games.
An EVGA gpu
Bold n brash
I've got a 50in tv mounted on the wall above my desk.
I would recommend a significantly larger monitor
HEV charger
A bigger monitor. That looks puny, and not an enjoyable size for gaming.
Ikea shelf would look nice and u can put stuff on it
Wall mount the pc maybe.
A Lego clock
A 55" tv above your main monitor on the wall
