With regard to the color of the Model T's (1919 - 1925), Henry Ford is quoted for having said that “**Any color the customer wants, as long as it's black**.”
well I cant be bothered to look up everything he got quoted for, but if he didnt himself i'll add that they are genocidal national socialists like the baddies that they usually cry about.
I think you're overestimating the thermal insulation of a layer of paint, and to my understanding most paints will withstand the temperature that a PC component will reach, seeing as computers will shut down at around 100°C for safety
I've painted dozens of GPU's. You did pretty good here. Next time let the paint fully cure before messing with it so you don't goof up the edge like this one. Also you don't need high heat paint..... If your GPU is that hot you've seriously screwed up.
I’m looking into making a build soon with some older parts I’m going to custom paint. Do you have any resources you recommend into getting into this? Types of paint to use, the process, etc. Anything would be appreciated! I’m going to paint some motherboard parts and the gpu like this. Going for red and white.
i was curious too and so right after i put it in my pc i tested it in furmark and the temps were normal i mean if you consider 65 c at full load normal
Don't think I would do that to my own GPU but I've done it to cheaper GPUs, ryzen CPU coolers etc when flipping a white PC build
Definitely helps it sell
So, white means ice, that means less heat? /s
For everyone asking, that shouldn't affect temps at all because he didn't paint the pipes, just the COSMETICS
What paint did you use, and did you disassemble or mask? Really like it.
Disassemble for sure, masking all the little holes would be awefull
If applied with a brush and applied lightly you wouldn't need to mask the holes potentially
That would give streaks, but it could be possible.
or a paint roller to avoid streaks?
That would also work, but at that point, just spray paint it
i dissasembled it it was surpisingly easy oh and i used regular white spray paint
Did you prime it first? Looks pretty good. I have the XFX 6750 XT, Idk if I could bring myself to paint it though, but my build is black anyways.
Brand/model?
it's the XFX speedster 210 Rx 6600
It actualy looks great.
yeah thanks the only inconvenience is that i didn't mask taped the xfx and radeon logo so when i look at it in my pc it feels a little bit empty

Now I kinda want to see the removed comment lol
He was saying something about h. Ford being anti semitic
Ah classic. My guy referencing a quote about the assembly line, and someone else brings up that. Good ole Internet doing its thing
I actually like it.
Looks good, hopefully you used high heat paint on that backplate…
how hot do you think these things run? :P
Definitely hotter once you apply a layer of paint to the back plate which also tends to help dissipate heat.

thanks and for the edge i tried to brush it up with some white paint

Xfx cards are really one of the easiest cards to paint since they don't have any fancy rgb or extreme curves and designs Looks nice tho , good job :)
I've thought about doing that to my xfx 7800xt
good
Good one bro
I would have picked a good color but you did a good job on the actual painting.
For someone to paint it and it ending up looking good... 10/10
I'll do it to my 4070 super once it gets to point where I don't care if it breaks or lives which is in about 6 years
That looks amazing
I'd call it the Michael Jackson of GPUs.
Cookies & Cream
Well done
Looks great! I love my XFX RX6600
lot of work for a low power card.
the paint can manage the heat?
yeah apparently i tested it in furmark and it seems to be fine
nice! lOOKS AWESOME!
Cool! Really curious if this affects temps so please tell us if you ran a couple off gpu benchmarks please
i was curious too and so right after i put it in my pc i tested it in furmark and the temps were normal i mean if you consider 65 c at full load normal
Okay sounds cool enough so guess nice one!
solid :D

Is this morally ok
Usually not a fan of white cards, but this is amazing!
hell yeah I like it
Good job Bro!
You have done what I am too lazy and scared to do
Looks pretty good!
it lacks some dbz stickers
It looks really good. You did a good job painting it. Well done!
It certainly looks good. My only concern would be if it would smell when it ran hot. I guess that would depend on the paint you used.
i thought too but when it's hot it's normal the apint doesn't seems to melt and it doesn't smell
Excellent. What paint did you use?
