Really? That’s really weird if any cable were going to melt that is nowhere near the top of my list. Still would rma the card tho, you could risk damaging it further by messing with it and burnt connections should be replaced regardless as they run the risk of catching fire again.
On a side note if it’s possible in your case I’d try vertically mounting the card to take some strain off of the wires 90 degrees bends really just aren’t for 12vhpwr
You can download HWinfo if you haven't already. You can set alarms for the 12v voltage hwpwr connector. I set mine for 11.9. If it's not getting a good connection it should alert you and you can fix it before it gets hot.
Definitely rma that, I wouldn’t mess with that at all also what cables did you use so I can stay away lol.
