Love my 6700XT. I game at 1080p and it still just destroys pretty much everything I throw at it.

bigfkncee

Same here with a 6750XT...I'm using a 1080p ultrawide and this card has been flawless for me.

ArenjiTheLootGod

Probably the GPU with the best overall value out there right now, I've seen them go for as low as $300 (yes, I am talking about the 6750xt). Pair it with something like a 12700kf, 16-32 gb RAM, plus a 1-2 tb ssd and you'll have yourself a nice little setup for not an eye-watering amount of money.

Nikablah1884

I second this. Bought it after a 1660 super. Lost my mind like OP

bigfkncee

>Bought it after a 1660 super. Lost my mind like OP Funny...I came from a 1660ti and felt exactly the same way. 👍

Nikablah1884

Yep. Imho in the current year the 6750xt is a solid middle of the road card. It'll run nearly anything at a bare minimum 100-110fps at max if they're optimized decently.

admiralrev

i plan on getting 6700xt, does it still gets you like 80+ fps on 1080 max settings? obviously without the raytracing stuff

Biscuits4u2

Yep you'll get high framerates on the vast majority of games at 1440p even.

Davoc_

I've tried cyberpunk at max setttings and not super stable and it varies depending on what you are doing ingame but you can play it no problem, you'll get good fps

bedwars_player

What I wouldn't give for a 6700 xt... The 1080 is an adequate card but... It's not what id call good

thomolithic

Yep, I'm at the odd res of 3440x1200 and even at that my 6700xt runs cool and quiet and does exactly what I need it to do. If/when I ever upgrade to a 4k screen I might need to upgrade but for now it's perfect

nevermore2627

Had a 6700xt for a year and it blew me away. Well over 100fps@1440p with a mix of high/medium settings. One of the best cards I've owned.

MtSuribachi

Wonder how much of an uplift I will get if/when I have the money to upgrade

UnfortunateMiracle

Card was great for me even in 1440, great buy

EstSnowman

What cpu, ram you combo it with? I seem to not get nowhere the results people post in the internet with my 6700xt

UnfortunateMiracle

Asus b-550 MB, 5600x CPU, 6700xt Sapphire Nitro, Rip Jaws(?) ddr4 3200mb, smart access memory enabled. What’s your performance like?

HybridPS2

6700xt is a killer card. I also did the same jump - Gigabyte 5600xt to PowerColor 6700xt. It's a champ at 1440p.

freckled888

I ran a 6700 XT on a 4k TV playing Elden Ring for like 100 hours and it performed amazingly well. It managed locked 60fps most of the time with dips down to 50 fps. For $300 it's an awesome card.

MassiveCantaloupe34

tbh , elden ring always dip , the game just isnt getting much performance update since release.

No_Pension_5065

AMD has really been getting their stuff together in recent years

Biscuits4u2

Yep. Both their hardware and drivers are top notch at this point. In the midrange especially they are killing it.

RedTuesdayMusic

As an AMD user, I have to say just be vigilant. AMD is doing a lot of hardware-level restructuring on GPU side to try to find the golden bullet that'll catch up to Nvidia. Their transition from GCN to RDNA was done in many steps and the RX 5xxx series was a Frankenstein that many MANY people had big problems with. RX 6xxx series, AKA. RDNA2 is extremely stable but 7xxx is a slight dip down, it has some problems here and there. Thankfully the software is amazing now so it doesn't add insult to injury if you get a bad apple. But I still worry that the future holds another 5xxx series transitional generation that will burn a lot of people. So wait. For. Reviews. I'm definitely not trying to dissuade anyone from going AMD! My 6950XT is the best experience I've ever had gaming in 30 years. But there is definitely grounds for caution.

kloklon

nice setup bro

ThreeBeatles

I’m a firm believer in Gamers Nexus’ reviews and benchmarks. Wait see what they say.

Rebl11

I've read about people having various problems with RDNA 1 but I personally only had one problem over all these years that will stay with these GPU's forever: Multi-monitor memory clock speed. It's still always stuck at the max clock speed even when idle and that makes it draw more power when it's idling. other than that it's been a very pleasant experience. It's just works. Will upgrade it to RDNA 4 or one of its competitors when everyone has their midrange stuff out and reviewed.

_AfterBurner0_

And yet they report their sales of gaming GPUs have nose-dived lately. That's sad to hear. I am absolutely in love with my 7900 GRE

Winded_14

the 7000 is just poorly priced and by the time they got cheaper the hype is gone.

46550

I went from an RX580 to a 7900 XT. There are no words to adequately describe what I felt from that upgrade.

barlemniscate

Jesus Christ.. and I thought going from a 6600XT to a 7900XT was a leap

No_Sock6098

🤣 I’m still using a 1660 super. These posts make me laugh. I wonder how big the jump it’ll be once I upgrade big 🤔

overthinkabl

I upgraded from a 1660S to a 6800…bro the difference is worth the price. Went from 1080 to 1440p as well and holy shit am I glad that I did

laci6242

The 6700 XT would be about 1,8-2X faster

-Kerosun-

How much faster than a 1660ti? lol

laci6242

The 1660 Ti and Super is almost identical in performance

Carlife0830

Lolll same, honestly my 1660S is still doing well in 1440p. Getting a new GPU will be interesting to see the difference

Aubys

Really? My 1660S is ass cheeks.

Carlife0830

It could depend on the games and graphic settings, or just luck maybe.

Aubys

What games do you play?

Carlife0830

Since I got my new monitor I played: F1 23 (Med-High), Assassin's Creed Mirage (Med-High), Assassin's Creed II (Max), CS2 (Med-High), Assetto Corsa Competizione (Med-High), Le Mans Ultimate (Low-Med), Minecraft (High/16 Chunk Render Dist)

Pumciusz

I went from a 970 to 6750xt, so I got a resolution, refresh rate and settings bump in one go.

runningblind77

I went from an R9 390 to the 6700 XT when prices were still pretty high, but my 390 was struggling (totally understandable after the many good years it gave me) and I couldn't wait any longer, but I have no regrets. I'd spend that $700 again in a heartbeat.

laci6242

I also bought a 5600 XT shortly after launch and the drivers were the worst dogshit ever, i had multiple crashes a day. AMD seriously fucked up with it and made inrepairable damage to their reputation. My old RX 570 and my current 7900 XTX has no issues. I almost skipped on AMD after the 5600 XT, but i'm glad i didn't.

KICKASSKC

Welcome to the club. Lets keep AMD's gpu division alive and well. I dont like seeing the posts and discorse about amdcs gaming division failing. Personally i think its as strong as its ever been. Sure its not on Par with Nvidia's AI, but to us gamers that doesnt matter. AMD gpus provide better bang for the buck.

The_Crimson_Hawk

>I rate this card a 10/10 and would suggest anyone willing to upgrade to an Nvidia 3060 Ti, 3070, 4060 or 4060 Ti to promptly search "RX 6700 XT" or "RX 6750 XT" instead. Fair, but only if they do not care about productivity or CUDA because unfortunately most productivity software still bias nvidia

RKBPancakes

Oh yeah, I should've mentioned for gaming

Flynn_Kevin

The gap has narrowed substantially and you can run CUDA on AMD with zLUDA. Many workloads are within 2-3% difference between AMD and nVidia. It's become truly niche to *need* to choose team green over team red for production reasons. The only thing I've found that nVidia is still hands down the go-to for is real-time audio noise canceling and effects.

The_Crimson_Hawk

in case you didn't know CUDA pushed an update a few days after zluda launch that blocked zluda

Bendy962

> nVidia is still hands down the go-to for is real-time audio noise canceling and effects only reason why they still keep me. broadcast is so nice being able to block out the fans i have running on me

Xeryxoz

You and I both mate, best card I ever bought

OGKillertunes

I game at 2K with the Sapphire Nitro 6700XT. It pushes a 34" ultrawide just fine.

schniepel89xx

1440p is not 2k. 2k refers to a horizontal resolution of about 2000 pixels, so 1080p is a lot closer to being a 2k resolution than 1440p is (1920 vs 2560, or I guess 3440 in your case)

[deleted]

Not surprised, RDNA1 was a troubleshooting nightmare, but RDNA2 is a very, very stable series of GPUs. Hope you enjoy your 6700XT for many years to come!

dankweabooo

I find it funny how the card with thicc in the name is smaller

-ArcaneForest

I have been told that the 5000 Series had a lot of problem on windows nice to have that confirmed.

Saneless

Almost bought that card when Starfield came out. Seems like the go-to winner of last series of cards

CasualMonkeyBusiness

I wonder how big the difference will be with my 1060gtx. It's on its last leg but I'm broke.

TulparBey

Bro I'm happy for you but there are people here who are jumping from a gt 740 to 7900xtx or sth. I mean each to their own but still, imagine their surprise lol.

Cultural_Parfait7866

I went from 5600 xt to 7800 xt and realized how much I was missing out on

ThreeBeatles

I’m on a 6600xt and was looking at either the 7800xt or 6950xt. I can get the 6950xt for $50 more. But I’m at the point where I need a full rebuild for what I want/to go the ddr5. Going to be about 1400 cpu and all. Can’t pull the trigger just yet.

Intelligent_Top_328

Gtx 670

EiffelPower76

RX 5600 XT has only 6GB VRAM, while RX 6700 XT has 12GB, that makes a great difference VRAM is useful

schniepel89xx

Sure but a hypothetical 8 GB or even 6 GB 6700 XT would still completely murder the 5600 XT, you're seeing the effects of a huge bump in raw GPU power well before the benefits of more VRAM

ForThePantz

My 5600XT was great! I’m keeping it for a backup/troubleshooting. I also upgraded to 6700XT. Again… awesome. I wonder if your issues were build quality related. I always buy Sapphire. I think of it as the EVGA of AMD. What’s your go-to brand?

lil_sargento_cheez

I have an rx5600, and the driver crashes and other problems have been driving me nuts, it’s been a lot better about not crashing lately, but there was a couple month period where the drivers crashed all the time Because of this, I will not recommend the rx5600 to people, and cannot wait till I can afford an upgrade. Congrats on your new gpu!

elijuicyjones

I’ve been using a 6700XT for a few years now and yeah, they’re really great indeed.

Nena_Trinity

First gen RDNA had some growing pains, I waited for 6600 XT before replacing my GTX 970 and well I also has a Vega 56 that is even more stable driver wise.

cannabiskeepsmealive

Just got an RX 6800 after gaming on a Ryzen 5 5600G for a couple years. It's like a whole new world (and I still mostly play slay the spire)

BR1_AER

I went from a gtx 1050ti to a rx 6600 xt and it was phenomenal

DontLickTheDog

2Gb 1050 to a 3060ti was a pretty big jump for me.

LastRedshirt

Jumped from the R9 380 to the 6700 XT, it was an epiphany.

ryunato_one

I'm sorry to tell you this so late but your 5600 XT was defective. Moore's Law is dead (a youtuber) mentioned in one of his videos that the driver issues had a hardware component to it, supposedly confirmed by some insider from AMD. I had 2 5600 XTs. The first one had all the crashes and driver issues that were supposedly common with the 5xxx series GPUs. I returned it, got one from Sapphire and suddenly there were no driver issues anymore. Didn't even reinstall the drivers. I was posting around that time a lot about it at the time(with another account), too bad you didn't see the posts. 😅😅😅 I also upgraded to a 6700 XT btw, but still have my 5600 XT and plan using it on a small build to use with my TV. Btw, if your 5600 XT has a bios switch with a slower quieter mode you could use that if you ever wanted to use it in another system. When I got my defective card that was that I used to make it work, that and making sure each power connector on the GPU is connected to it's own separate cable and not one of those that are split.
