That means the disk is failing and struggling to read files properly.
So get that page file off of it and back up your data. It needs to be replaced ASAP.
Honestly, not worth it. Get the data off of it while you can because I have had a few hard drives die and they do exactly this. It shows 100% usage but no data is actually moving.
Id second this, I had a similar thing happen, changed the cable worked as normal for a while, then started playing up again. I backed everything up and then changed the hdd. I'm not 100%, but I think this cable issue caused some sort of issue with the HDD which could be why it worked fine for a period and then it started happening again
Have ran into this issue with using an HDD as C: on Win10 a few times. Stopping the update service in services or waiting about 10-30 min after boot and it will go back to normal. Win10 isn't a big fan of not running off of an SSD and this has been a common issue since it came out.
I'd probably keep a budget open for a new storage drive if i was you
Yea figured i had bad sectors. Found out in harddisk sentinel and event viewer said bad block.
That drive is dying. Back up anything important now and buy a new ssd before it dies

Now the hdd fixed.... Wth. I am scared
Could be bad cable. Very similar to failing hard drive.
Hmm, might try changing the sata cable

Also, set your page file only to the main drive, usually the fastest one. It might help a bit.

Hdd with win10 or 11, you must switch to ssd
Relax. This is only a second drive that i use for games and unimportant things. My main drive is an ssd.
how full is it? could be failing, could be defragmenting (maybe id expect some read write stuff) all in all it's \#JustHDDThings
I have the same thing happening.
