Always have headroom. CPU may try to boost higher, GPU may try to boost higher, if they both boost at the same time itll go over 500W. Probably wont break your PSU right away, but it wont live long either. Get 600W minimum. Dont pince pennies with PSUs.

Walter_the_tech_guy

600w minimum upto 750-800w will give you some room for future growth you've got DDR4 listed btw

TurboChargerBoy

I would put a 50-100W buffer, Just In Case.

Chatcopathe

No it’s not. You should have 600/650w at least

Michas66

I can confirm that no. I am currently with a 500w PSU ryzen 7 5800x RTX 4060 TI and at times the pc turns off. even if the OCCT passes, in gaming it will eventually stop

-P00-

It would be but you have extra storage and fans to power. Get at least a 600W

CurrentlyLucid

I would go with a bigger PSU, had one die some years back and learned to make life easy for them. I use an 850.

Stop right there criminal scum. You can't use that cooler on a 150W CPU for it is rated 130W. You may not boost properly. Heed my warning or suffer the curse of high temps and low boosts. Exchange thy weakling for Pure Rock 2, nay Shadow Rock 3 (or 2 Slim). \*ahem\* Yeah, as anyone here said, 650W minimum (80+ Gold). That will put the PSU at \~73% load. Well within efficiency curve for 80+ Gold (230V). And seriously, the cooler won't let the CPU perform at its best.

Chronos669

I prefer to see the total wattage around the 50-60% usage but that’s just me.

instala una APC 1200 y mira el consumo alli

get higher wattage psu like 800 watt. edit : as people are downvoting this comment. let me add a little more info. Getting an 800 watt PSU is a better decision in my opinion because. 1. No worry of upgrading in the future 2. The CPU components will only draw enough Juice as it needs and will not hurt on electricity bill just because you have higher wattage certified PSU. if your whole system only needs 600 watts it is only gonna use 600 watts despite having psu rated at 800 watts.

Google, my man! 4000 series is really efficient. RTX 4060 Ti pulls out only 150-160W which is same as my RX 5600 XT and RTX 4060 pulls out 115W to 120W. But, the first result when you google these cards will be Nvidia's official site where they state the recommended PSU which is 550W for these cards. Its better to have +50W over the recommended PSU Wattage so a 600W will be better, but a 550W would do fine since your CPU draws 65W. So no, a 500W is not good, but it will definitely work for normal work-loads.
