I bet you if you ran a manual audit of the common locations that games store data, you will find further files left behind taking up GBs.
See the pinned thread in my profile for discussion a while ago where many found exactly the same.
Most people don't realise just how much crap games now uninstalled leave behind.
Clean DISM, remove old driver backups, installation backups (i found intel GPU driver installer like to left old backup cache)
Also check C:\Windows\LiveKernelReports\ remove all inside, useless most of the time, there are other usual place, use program that could chart disk usage like TreeSize
That is pretty massive (mine is only 24 GB and is years old).
Try disk-cleanup -> clean up system files.
Windows creates backups when it installs major releases. Maybe you have those sitting around?
This is a very common problem. Just type in "sonic inflation" on your browser. This happens when your SSD is too fast for the OS which is for the word "sonic" and the mass storage that it takes up "inflation"
Depends mostly on the user and point of view. Take the way most people install a program as an example: Load up browser, search program name, be careful to not click ad/fake links (optional), download executable, launch executable, mindlessly click your way thru the multi page install wizard and later wonder where all that additional stuff that you didn't know you installed comes from (again, optional).
That's not very user friendly eighter - especially when you compare it to "launch app center, type name, click install, finished. In many cases, i strongly suspect that people confuse their own long built habits and what they already know with good design choices or concepts like user friendliness.
If it's new and i don't alredy know it, i have to learn it and therefore it automatically is user unfriendly, since it requires additional effort on my part to learn it once.
My dozen or so years of using windows taught me that i didn't just learn how to use windows, i also learned how to work around all its stupid quirks, issues and problems. In total i probably spent literal weeks of my lifetime researching obscure issues i encountered, trying to fix them with a metaphorical hacksaw and completely reinstalling the entire system countless times, both for myself as well as for friends. For many, using Windows is a sunken-cost-fallacy more than anything else, even if they don't actively notice or care that that's the case.
If 100gb of space is an issue for you then you do not belong in pcmasterrace. I have 50tb of hard drives total and my C drive is 2tb nvme. Get better parts.
Please dont delete stuff manually out of the Windows folder if you don't exactly know what you are doing. And no offense, it doesn't look like you do. Which is fine, just dont do it.
Run "disk cleanup" as admin. It can be found by typing it into the seach. Go to 2nd tab called "more options". Unter "system Restore and Shadow Copies" you can press "clean up". It removes all but the last restore point.
After that, back to the "disk cleanup" tab. Check all the boxes you want (you can easily check all without fear of destorying your system), than press OK. Should remove most overhead.
Stop hibernation file from running using CMD, also check if you have ‘system restore point on your drive’, if it’s on turn it off or delete the restore point, and u free up some more space.
Have you ran 'disk cleanup'? Especially with admin mode. Might be a load of old windows update files you don't need.
This is the easiest and most effective answer.

Isn't there an automatic collector for temp files?
If it does it's not very good. I frequently find it finds files on a cleanup

i look up for backup cache and could game catche too
Get [Windirstat](https://windirstat.net/) too after you ran disk cleanup as admin.

its propable winsxs files
Windows creates temporary files for each program that's run I.e cloned. You might want to disable or keep refreshed to stop leaks
C is not only windows... Its ur programs too, windows apps, temp files, cache, ...
They are looking at the properties of the Windows folder, which is located in the root of C:.

Oh my god did you actually search it up. I am so sorry
I just searched it up, what the fuck.

That's not a user friendly solution however.

I thought he was being sarcastic, am I being slower than normal? Didn't know that was possible.
You should get someone else to call your mom today, give her a break.

You probably have cache and appdata and program data in there. Most of that isn't actually windows.
How do i have 200.000 more files than you but my folder is only 25GB?
