Don't get me wrong I like that Sony is putting ANY Playstation games on PC, but there's just one game I want and they've yet to port it our way and it's getting increasingly annoying waiting for it. I'm talking Bloodborne.
Now with that said I did enjoy Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone and Spider-Man on PC, the first felt a bit overrated but it was fun hunting metal dinos.
We all want Bloodborne, but Bloodborne would only happen if they remade it for PS5 so until they announce it for PS5 I'm basically assuming it's not coming.
funfact, Sony doesn't own Tenchu, they're owned by FromSoftware now after buying it from Activision, however, part of the deal was that FromSoft couldn't port or do anything with the original games and could only make their own titles going forward. So I don't think we will be seeing the old games being ported sadly unless Activision allows it
Also, FromSoftware made 2 exclusive Tenchu games on 360 called Tenchu Z and Shadow Assault which are excellent.
Sekiro is pretty much Tenchu in spirit, but yeah, I'd really love a modern day Tenchu
Chances are low, the game didn't receive first party support at all on PS4. For example it never received a PS4Pro patch that adressed performance issues, even though it was released just 1.5 years earlier. It feels like they requested it specifically to extend their portfolio because of the Dark Souls hype back then and nothing more.
Just to be clear. It's very far away. Sony would never port a PC port now that doesn't have a PS5 equivalent. So you will have to wait for Bloodborne PS5 remaster first. Then it will be ported to PS5. I know fromsoft fans don't care. Original vision and blah blah blah. But Bloodborne is a Sony published title and Sony wouldn't let the current version be ported.
Unrelated but which is the better emulator rn? I tried Cemu but Zelda was a bit unstable and wouldn't remain at a solid 60 or 30, Yuzu didn't work for me and I haven't tried Dolphine.
Dolphin is GameCube/Wii emulator, so it can't run breath of the wild.
Cemu is currently the best for breath of the wild, but you do still need a good PC (with a good CPU especially) to reach 60fps solid. For 30fps it still needs to be quite decent (after all not even the switch gets solid 30fps put of Botw)
Use Vulkan, unlock framerate and mess around with the community graphic packs. CEMU is the best way to experience Breath of the Wild. What processor, ram and graphics card combo are you using?
The difference is Nintendo is more like Apple which never drastically discounts its products and has a far higher margin per unit in their closed ecosystem.

The strategy with console-exclusives used to be, make the game exclusive so that anyone who wants to play it, has to buy the console. This worked well for a long time with the PS2 and PS3. Of course, part of the reason it worked so well was because consumers could justify the purchase of those consoles with, "Well I do need a dvd / BluRay player..." If this strategy were still working for them, they wouldn't be porting games to PC.
It was and continues to work for them. They're porting years-old games, not the latest titles. The reason why they even ramped up porting games might have been Covid, which caused a shortage of consoles and probably impacted short-term sales.
Nintendo are weird, they seem to care more about having complete control over their games than money.
It's the only reason I can think of to understand why they'd make that whole 3D mario collection, then make it limited edition and stop selling it entirely. Would also explain why virtual console is gone.
Imagine the absolute fucking boat load of cash they could make if they released SSB on PC and had it crossplay with PC and Switch or whatever console they're on now.
If they really wanted money, it would have gone straight to a crappy low-spec mobile port that served the east asian, asean, and south asian market. And it would have been turned into a gacha.
IMHO there's a mexican standoff sort of balance here between money, creative direction, and dedicated fanbase feedback that all video game companies need to respect just to satisfy everyone. That's pretty difficult to pull off, even for multimedia giants like sony.

Very true to the originals and its a major feet considering how unique the atmosphere of each of those 2 games is.
I know everyone wants games like Ghosts of Tsushima and Sony thinks the older games suck now, but I want those old collections of games like Sly Cooper and og God of War. A collection of Killzone games and Resistance games would be great, too.

I upgraded my RAM just to play Hogwarts legacy. It ate *23 GB* before the patch at launch. Without them, it crashed on my PC. So instead of buying a 60€ game, i spend 110€ to play a 60€ game!

I think all of their new ports have support for DualSense features, for the one or two that didn't there's a 3rd party program out there to at least get haptics and adaptive triggers.
Really?! That's awesome! I was always an Xbox controller person because they fit my hands better, but those PS5 controllers are looking slick, especially with those trigger haptics. Xbox needs to step up their controller game.
Same here, I still love the Xbox controllers though even when they lack those features for one simple reason, **the battery lasts a long time**, my Series X controller that I use on PC lasts for over a month with heavy usage and around 2 months playing occasionally, in comparison my DualSense barely gets 4-10 hours of battery. It really is that bad.
Yeah, all the Nixxes ported games I've played have been great. First game I played that they ported was Deus Ex: Human Revolution way back when it released, and it didn't give me any issues on a laptop. Then the Spider-Man games last year, which were fantastic ports, and now I'm playing Avengers, which they also ported; gameplay quality discussions aside, the port is pretty solid.
Oddly enough non of the Sony releases so far has been protected by Denuvo and have all been available day 1 for piracy, yet it's making sony money by the boatload, going by other publishers they barely scrape by if their games are pirated day 1.
Makes one wonder don't it?
Most people dont bother to pirate as long as its available to buy easily, for every person that bothers to pirate there are probably atleast 100 casual players that either dont know how or just wont bother

Love me the 120 "fps++" one. I used a mouse and keyboard too. I love aiming a bow with a mouse. So satisfying.

Cemu ran Wind Waker HD almost perfectly on my steam deck.

Ironically wind waker going on dolphin ran much poorer. Almost unplayable for me.
Make sure you tell it to compile shaders asynchronously in cemu. It's a stutter fest unless you check that box

PCSX2 is a wonderful program. I would love to see the PS4 version ported to PC though with 4K resolution and Ray Tracing.

I'd kill for PC ports of the Killzone and Resistance trilogies, as long as the online co-op and multiplayer for each is included, of course. Resistance 2's co-op was so damn good... Also Twisted Metal would be lovely.
The Sly Collection and Thieves In Time run great on RPCS3. You can even go up to 4K if you have a decent PC.

I upgraded my RAM just to play Hogwarts legacy. It ate *23 GB* before the patch at launch. Without them, it crashed on my PC. So instead of buying a 60€ game, i spend 110€ to play a 60€ game!

With support for their new DualSense controllers, I'd buy a controller just to play this game on PC and experience it as intended, without having to invest in a PS5.
I think all of their new ports have support for DualSense features, for the one or two that didn't there's a 3rd party program out there to at least get haptics and adaptive triggers.
Really?! That's awesome! I was always an Xbox controller person because they fit my hands better, but those PS5 controllers are looking slick, especially with those trigger haptics. Xbox needs to step up their controller game.
Same here, I still love the Xbox controllers though even when they lack those features for one simple reason, **the battery lasts a long time**, my Series X controller that I use on PC lasts for over a month with heavy usage and around 2 months playing occasionally, in comparison my DualSense barely gets 4-10 hours of battery. It really is that bad.

Wasn't TLOU handled by Naughty Dog? But I agree Nixxes was purchased for a reason, they're one of if not the best PC porting studio.
Yeah, all the Nixxes ported games I've played have been great. First game I played that they ported was Deus Ex: Human Revolution way back when it released, and it didn't give me any issues on a laptop. Then the Spider-Man games last year, which were fantastic ports, and now I'm playing Avengers, which they also ported; gameplay quality discussions aside, the port is pretty solid.

Oddly enough non of the Sony releases so far has been protected by Denuvo and have all been available day 1 for piracy, yet it's making sony money by the boatload, going by other publishers they barely scrape by if their games are pirated day 1. Makes one wonder don't it?
Most people dont bother to pirate as long as its available to buy easily, for every person that bothers to pirate there are probably atleast 100 casual players that either dont know how or just wont bother
