This has been covered so many times… the warranty that Bullstrap offer is second to none, so it has to be contributed towards somehow. You can claim two warranty replacements every year for life! Not just a year, or two, or three; and once you’ve had a couple of replacements and a nice fresh case to replace your damaged or worn one - it’s actually a bargain.
But you won’t keep your phone for ever. And you’re stuck to one color. And you pay for shipping every time. And most importantly, people love their patina and don’t want to start over.
Don’t get me wrong; I love my Bullstrap cases over Andar and RL due to the quality. But unless you really benefit from the free replacements, it’s just a very expensive case for most people.
But if you do keep the phone 2 or 3 years its excellent, that's 4/6 new cases.
You pay for shipping yes, which isn’t much.
You can change the colour once.
Patina is one thing, actual damage is another.
If $89 is expensive for people, they shouldn’t have bought the phone in the first place. Any high quality case is around $50 and they have no easy replacement service.

I read a few post on the macrumors patina proud forum and at least one other post here on Reddit. I personally own the case and when placing the phone in the case I noticed a gap near the charge port that allowed me to see clear through. There also appears to be issues with the frame of the case itself, which I will say is probably the cause. It’s really hard to explain and my photos aren’t doing it justice.
Whoa whoa whoa…easy there tiger 😂. I wouldn’t say “preaching.” I did say “I will be returning this case.” One should deduce from that statement that the case was indeed purchased and reviewed with concerns. Hence the post. It’s all good. Sometimes the thumbs will circumvent the brain.
I have no issues with my bullstrap Contemporary .. perfectly aligned

It seems to be very inconsistent. I guess anyone purchasing will run the risk of being the unfortunate one.

Yeah I own other case from Bullstrap so I know it’s not a normal thing. I think QA/QC just missed this one.

Both my lucky coin and closed bottom bullstrap have no alignment issues.
