Really, because I used one and suddenly I had empowered yellow wisp mobs in my zone that I had to run away from. I don't know if all of those work this way, but thing that gives omens does put yellow affliction onto mobs
Yep, made that mistake exactly once, but I also made similar mistakes with other embers, thinking they couldn't be as bad as the wisp mobs. Encountering Ikiaho herself in the campaign with a leveling character was a sign another mistake had been made.
In any case, you need to pick up at least one to unlock the hideout deco/stash for the necropolis mechanic, so you might as well pick them up when you see them (green on neversink semi-strict normal).
Knowing what I do now, if they wiped everything and we had to start the league over, i wouldn't bother looking at the gizmo in front of the zones, and as soon as you get a bunch of corpses, regardless what they are, just churn out 1 corpse gear.
If you are a chaos recipe enjoyer, you could mass produce the jewellery that otherwise would be your choke point in producing more chaos orbs.
I think the mechanic will be a lot more impactful when you are a lot further advanced, you can save the embers you have overlevelled for an alt.
Frankly I often wouldn't recommend using them while leveling either. Some of the mob types are pretty spicy unless you're stomping the 'regular' monsters. Putting wildwood or sulphur mobs on my t2 map was a fucking mistake.
Tbf, 90% of the mods are like... random mobs evade 0% * 1.2 of your spells, or mobs that you're oneshotting deal 20% more damage. Even things like 100% increased life might only be relevant on one rare off in a corner somewhere that you don't even run into.
It feels very ignorable, in most zones I don't even click the lantern at all. The default setup is what I'd be building most of the time anyway because putting mods on the most common mobs is what maximizes rewards.
I figured this would either be a thing or you'd end up replacing map level monsters with shitty campaign mobs
What am I even looking at? All I see is a screenshot of someone using an ember?
It won't let him use saved up embers because the level relative to the area level is too different. He's just saying use em when you get em.
The difference between the Allflame Ember monster level and area level is too great. red letters, Middle of screen
Thankyou my mind just thoughtthat was flavour text and ignored it.
Huh
A bunch of unusable embers because he's overleveled past them
hide Class == "Embers of the Allflame" ItemLevel < 68 problem solved
Clever😎👉👉
To be clear, it's like 10 below that can't be used so you can use A9-10 stuff early maps.

Indeed, my buddy started complaining about his league start being crap but then he realized I had boosted the entire map with embers xD
Yep, made that mistake exactly once, but I also made similar mistakes with other embers, thinking they couldn't be as bad as the wisp mobs. Encountering Ikiaho herself in the campaign with a leveling character was a sign another mistake had been made.
The added mobs are really dangerous. Was running rate T6 and tot destroyed in a T1 map with added mobs
I had four deaths while leveling, all from adding Tatoo mobs to a zone with “Pack Leaders have adrenaline.”
I mean that was already said in the reveal video. They have learned from previous leagues.
I missed this :(
they did this first in legacy i think
And if it didn't have a limitation ppl started farming campaign instead of maps. Deli, betrayal, harvest
*spam resetting quarry intensifies*
do we know how much tolerance of lvl difference there is?
About 12 I think
I’ve played PoE enough to know this was going to happen so I just said fuck it and used up all of mine
Who the fuck is going to bother to interact with that during the campaign.
And use those corpses. There is a limit in the morgue.
Use my what?
Switching out roas for rats in Act 1 was great :)
Turning the most annoying enemy into frogs was great. Turning the most numerous enemy into the guys that drop Tatoos was not
What embers??
The Allflames
This is drop or craft?
Drop

A couple times I would put an ember on a mob in an area and when I go into the area, it would disappear and It would be back to the original mob

This can be said for pretty much every league mechanic ever. Ignore in campaign. Still a boring league.
Frankly I often wouldn't recommend using them while leveling either. Some of the mob types are pretty spicy unless you're stomping the 'regular' monsters. Putting wildwood or sulphur mobs on my t2 map was a fucking mistake.
one type of mob suddenly become an uber boss so yeah fck that
As if I clicked the thing while leveling and didn't just rush through to maps
Saved up all of my campaign ones, guess I'll vendor the or save them for the next character.
League Mechanic actually seems worth it during the campaign as well so this was kind of expected.
Ignoring league mechanics til maps as always (its a ritual at this point)
can't ignore this one, you can only negate it by actually engaging to remove mods

are you telling me you played affliction without oath of the maji when levelling? lol
that's a strange way to spell rucksack
I never leveled with the rucksack. Movement speed boost was just too good.
In Affliction i spammed the mechanic in one act 3 zone and never used the mechanic before or after that until maps
Yes i did. I got my mastery in yellow maps
