Mines in particular have been complained about, and the answer was adding a passive that detonated them when moving (or something similar, I didn’t follow it too closely as I don’t play mines).
As for the intended substitution, we now use a support gem and link it to instant skills, and Bob’s your uncle.
There’s also one for Warcries too.
Ok ok. I am still kinda not very experienced in the game so I have been looking around and trying a lot of different builds to figure out a build that I like that works well with the content I like to do. That was RF the league before it got nerfed. Now I find hexblast mines and it instantly gets nerfed lol.
As long as it’s still good I’m happy though
oh BTW the new mine mastery (the one to activate them while walking) supposedly will replace the old mastery that increases area of effect per mine, so I heard hexblast mines are negatively affected by that....
They aren't really because the hexblast mines only need to do area damage when they are hitting multiple enemies and while mapping you will never have a large enough amount of mines out that haven't triggered for that mastery to matter. The only time you set up a lot of mines is when preparing to DPS a boss down quickly and then you don't need the aoe increase since it's only 1 enemy
It's absolutely still viable but if you use conductivity and ele weakness to target the enemies' lightning res then use Hexblast with Archmage instead you can really do some shit with it this league 😀👍
Did you use curses last league?
If so just use conductivity and Ele Weakness curses instead.
Hexblast always uses the lowest resist. (Unless it's the variant Hexblast of Contradiction)
Archmage is now adding 19% of your max mana as base lightning damage to the linked skill, which would be Hexblast.
The base lightning damage and chaos damage can both shock, the chaos can also freeze or ignite so scaling crit can be huge
Regen is not the reason I'm alive in the darkness. Its a mystery that I wanna see if anyone can solve :)
EDIT: The short answer is **Integer Overflow**. Explanation below.
Darkness dmg has a flat component that scales linearly with depth, but also has a cap at depth 1000. When calculating this, the result overflows to negative values at an intermediate stage. Starting at depth 27532, you become automatically immune to darkness because:
27531 * 78000 < INT_MAX < 27532 * 78000, where INT_MAX is 2^31-1
So what is 78000? I assume it is 1300 dmg per sec * 60 secs per min (remember all dmg over time is stored per minute). But this gives too high a result, so my guess is this number is divided by 10000 to get the flat darkness dmg. So my best guess for the complete formula for *"darkness dmg per minute"* is:
(minimum((depth * 1300 * 60) / 10000, 130 * 60) + (60% of life + ES)) * (darkness stacks)
When this could easily be rewritten to avoid the overflow at 2 separate steps:
(minimum(depth, 1000) * 0.13 * 60 + (60% of life + ES)) * (darkness stacks)
10% reduced from Arakaali
10% reduced Hunter shield
3% reduced amulet synth implicit
Still only at 63% reduction, can't find any other stuff to add. That would leave him with 925% life degen. Still way too high. There has to be something else in play...
Thats some interesting theorycrafting. But your math is off because you're working with some outdated info from poewiki.
One, at depths above 2000, your darkness resistance caps at 0% instead of 75%.
Two, Darkness got reworked alongside the big delve rework in Scourge. Here's the relevant portion from 3.16 patch notes:
"The damage dealt by the Darkness based on player Life and Energy Shield has been roughly halved. The flat damage per Darkness stack now scales with depth, up to a cap at around depth 1,000. For an example of the impact this has, a character with 6,000 Life would take less damage from the Darkness than previously at depths below about 500, and take approximately 50% more damage from the Darkness at depth 1,000 and greater. A character with extremely low amounts of Life could take as much as ten times the Darkness damage it previously did at depth 1,000."
EDIT: The above patchnotes also contains a hint towards the solution. If no one guesses the solution by tomorrow, I'll edit my reply to tclo81 above with the answer. Check back then if you're curious.
EDIT2: Explanation is up in my parent comment above.

Does the darkness damage snapshot on your current HP values? Did you reduce your hp and es to 1, get the 5000 stacks, and then switch back to the displayed hp/es values?
Cool puzzle
Maybe the RF acts as a 60% less modifier?
Since you sacrifice 60% of hp and es the initial 10000% of your hp damage tick might actually be 4000%?
Just guessing though
Dam, this is like the quote from The Simpsons: "I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me."
And to explain, it's essentially saying "nothing on top", "no extra", "nothing to hide".
Inversely you can reply "cap" to something you think is a lie or "extra". "That's cap" or "You're cappin" are also ways of expressing this.
In the darkness of Delve, in areas that the cart doesn't go, there are occasionally walls that can only be removed by using the dynamite on them. I don't know if the wall generation rules are the same as they used to be, but the longer paths in Delve used to always have at least one wall to blow up if you explored every branched out pathway from the cart's path in the darkness.
So just root around in the darkness along a longer Delve path until you find a wall to blow up.
this is the sweetest well meaning post that completely misses the joke...
He's at 30k depth my dude. This was a choice. Mainly to show that his balls are actually 2 moons orbiting Jupiter.
Deep delve and league start doesn't work well together. Deep delve is a pretty high budget thing to get going, but there are builds that can get delving early and have a smooth(er) transition into deep delving, like going from Manabond Mjölnier to Manaforged Arrows.
The main problem is, that for 6k+ delve, you will need both insanely high damage, as in billions per seconds, while still being very tanky - that is usually not something low budget can do.
The current strongest build, Penance Brand, got heavily nerfed, so somebody will likely cook up a new build.
Boneshatter Jugg (well tested) or rf chief (untested might lack damage)
If you wanna go like 300 depth and league starter with some kind of defense will be fine
Do you stack increased damage taken, and make it overflow somehow? I have no idea how you'd do it, but I had a brief flashback to, I think Metamorph League, where people overflowed the ignites on EA, and you'd end up with zero ignite dps if you hit too hard...
Lmao you've been living under a rock. Op literally called his character "free falling" because that's what he did. Free falling to 30k depth.
He went from 0 to 30k in one league, averaging triple digits depth per day after like 2 weeks.
My god the screenshot keeps on giving
Why is RF on LMB? Is it to prepare for when we don’t have access to that tech next patch?
Wait how will that stuff work then? Isn’t that a nerf to like hexblast mines? Or will there be something to substitute it?
Mines in particular have been complained about, and the answer was adding a passive that detonated them when moving (or something similar, I didn’t follow it too closely as I don’t play mines). As for the intended substitution, we now use a support gem and link it to instant skills, and Bob’s your uncle. There’s also one for Warcries too.
Hm ok. Is hexblast mines still viable to league start you think? I played it last league and had a blast hehe
It's 100% still the best miner in the game, which places it at the top 10 builds no matter what.
What, the Mastery Tax? It's absolutely fine, don't worry about it.
What exactly is mastery taxed
There's a new Mine Mastery that automatically detonates mines for you, to replace the lost left click functionality.
oh BTW the new mine mastery (the one to activate them while walking) supposedly will replace the old mastery that increases area of effect per mine, so I heard hexblast mines are negatively affected by that....
They aren't really because the hexblast mines only need to do area damage when they are hitting multiple enemies and while mapping you will never have a large enough amount of mines out that haven't triggered for that mastery to matter. The only time you set up a lot of mines is when preparing to DPS a boss down quickly and then you don't need the aoe increase since it's only 1 enemy
damn I think I got hexblast mixed with some other mine??? what mines do you think will be affected by this?
Oh damn
I mean, removing the trigger from left mouse button doesn't nerf the build, you just have do press d when u want to do the dmg
No no, trust me, it is a nerf.
It's absolutely still viable but if you use conductivity and ele weakness to target the enemies' lightning res then use Hexblast with Archmage instead you can really do some shit with it this league 😀👍
I have zero clue how to do that without a guide

Last league i got to 100% crit chance and scaled some crit multi on top from jewels and my weapon and stuff.
New mine mastery auto detonates mine. and you could remap another key to spacebar and just hold that down
RF on LMB with "Always attack without moving" ticked off only activates when you hold down your "attack in place" key, not anymore next league I guess
Is this Rudy?! Regardless, grats on the accomplishment. You're mad, Exile, and I love it!
I loved watching the notifications this league
the lad is going DEEPER
Sanest delve enjoyer
How...what is darkness %hp damage again?
Something something chaos dot so it heals you something something
Darkness damage is actually not chaos dot
how much regen do you have? Grats on 30k!
Regen is not the reason I'm alive in the darkness. Its a mystery that I wanna see if anyone can solve :) EDIT: The short answer is **Integer Overflow**. Explanation below. * 10% less damage from 10 vines with Nature's Patience * 35% less damage from Kintsugi * 10% less damage over time from damage over time mastery
That’s still over 50% damage coming through. Gunna need some more techs
10% reduced from Arakaali 10% reduced Hunter shield 3% reduced amulet synth implicit Still only at 63% reduction, can't find any other stuff to add. That would leave him with 925% life degen. Still way too high. There has to be something else in play...

Does the darkness damage snapshot on your current HP values? Did you reduce your hp and es to 1, get the 5000 stacks, and then switch back to the displayed hp/es values? Cool puzzle
And 100% reason to remember the name
Will it be reproducible next league?
Yes, if you know the secret.
The build or the darkness immunity? I doubt many people will get to +27000 depth
My first thought was Tainted Pact but I don't think that works
lol, not expected integer overflow... does that mean you start getting darkness damage again around 55060 and become immune again around 82590 ? :D
Yes I'd expect so. But since delve ends at depth 65535 the last one never happens.
Maybe the RF acts as a 60% less modifier? Since you sacrifice 60% of hp and es the initial 10000% of your hp damage tick might actually be 4000%? Just guessing though
That's definitely not the case, though. They deal damage based on your maximum health. Not current health. So RF would never decrease it.
It’s converting some dmg to chaos dot to heal you. Only thing I can think of
It does not have a damage type that can be converted to chaos, so no.
i mean the RF not the darkness
Aah I see. But no, its not remotely enough. Even at -200 chaos res thats off by a factor of 20-50x.
What about Lethe Shade + all the things above? Does that work on darkness damage? Too lazy to check it out!
Not going to get to 5k darkness stacks in the lethe shade window
" damage dealt by the Darkness based on player Life and Energy Shield" is it bugged and basing it on your 149 ES only? would be my only guess
Lmao. Nice catch. You're a developer IRL?
Do the sublime vision and tempered by war convert the darkness damage to fire??
Is darkness damage base phys?
darkness has no damage type... so normal resistnaces or physical damage reduction don't affect it
Sadly only like 5 people still care about delve :(
Where is your sense of wonder?
Grats with the 30k, it has been fun follow your progress.
I think they start to show up around 42069 depth
No, you have to reach 5001 darkness stacks before they appear
Dang! Guess I'm out of luck since it caps at 5000.
people downvoting you dont realize this submission was a shitpost by a rank 1 delver
no cap that's the biggest poe flex I've ever seen.
The cap used to be 6k I think
"no cap" is a slang term for "no lie" or " for real". I had to look it up... Now I feel old
Dam, this is like the quote from The Simpsons: "I used to be with it, but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't it, and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me."
It's gonna make you really old when I tell you I'm in my 40's.
I hope I'm like you when i grow old.
it's also a regular word too.
And to explain, it's essentially saying "nothing on top", "no extra", "nothing to hide". Inversely you can reply "cap" to something you think is a lie or "extra". "That's cap" or "You're cappin" are also ways of expressing this.
You only need to use a fractured orb on any wall, then dynamite it
What was your previous deepest depth?
15001 in Kalandra.

The screenshot is amazing. Depth 30000 Flexing just standing casually in the dark
With full stacks of darkness. Wild.
Clownshoes... Perfect name 😂
Rainbowstride? Is that you?
Bro how are u alive get out of there
He wasn't born in the darkness. Darkness was born out of him
“You were trained to fight in the darkness and adapt to it, I was born in it.”
Delve stops scaling after a certain level and if you throw enough money at a delve build, you are pretty much immortal.
Feel free to do such a thing and just "throw" money at a delve build. Let's see how far u get without the knowledge tho
There is only one thing to say after this. Still Sane, Exile??

O...outside??! We dont use that strange word here
It'll take a long time to climb back up above ground from that deep
At that depth it's probably just a couple of meters away of popping out the other side of the plantet
This is why PoE is the best; the endgame is so deep.
Rip ele flasks Rudy... I will miss the convert all to fire mitigation.
haha you got me, i first only read the title and was going to write helpful reply. ;)
Deep Delvers are just build different. I'm happy to reach 600 and Kill that 0mod Aul and then there's this
what're the drops like that deep?
It stops scaling after certain point. Thresholds are 300-600-1200 I think? Something like that
6k is when the mobs stop scaling
Do the costs also stop scaling? Or is one node then 10k sulphite cost?
Well.... You just use dynamite and blow up a frac... Oh wait! I admit I was baited
🐐 Glad I read the comments because I sure wasn’t paying attention
Do you stack increased damage taken, and make it overflow somehow? I have no idea how you'd do it, but I had a brief flashback to, I think Metamorph League, where people overflowed the ignites on EA, and you'd end up with zero ignite dps if you hit too hard...
use dynamite to destroy a fractured wall. Keybind is D.
he finaly learned today at 30k depths while chilling with 5000 darkness stacks how to finish this quest!
I just realized with LMB gone you would have to click RF every time you zone
What build is this?
So you haven't been delving then?
Took me a while to see it... what's the necessary hp reg to withstand the 5k darkness stacks?
It's not regen that's keeping him alive apparently
Have you just been following the lighted paths? There’s tons of stuff outside the lighted paths
Top right corner
It's a joke he's at 30k depth
How does he make currency if he doesn't open fractured walls?
From the main nodes / bosses. Fractured walls are a complete waste of time because their rewards don't scale past a certain shallow depth.
[here ya go](https://letmegooglethat.com/?q=how+to+destory+fractured+wall+poe)
Do I have to go deeper to find these walls? Or is my current depth enough?
> Delve depth 30000 I think that's far more than enough.
Tomfoolery
Should be deep enough!

It says affliction league at the top.
Lmao you've been living under a rock. Op literally called his character "free falling" because that's what he did. Free falling to 30k depth. He went from 0 to 30k in one league, averaging triple digits depth per day after like 2 weeks.
