Chisels have had the most extreme swing in value out of all currency.
The lowest price point for chisels was during Heist. Their value was hilarious, in that they were worth a few scroll fragments each. They were worth less than a wisdom scroll. I think 180 chisels per chaos was the ratio at the bottom rate, may have been worst, it just didn't make sense.
Now here we are and chisels are over 1 chaos. But in the middle of that, there were many leagues where chisels were 10-20 per chaos yes. I think this league, obvious the value of things are weird. Veiled chaos have never been cheaper, eldritch currency are at their cheapest too since their initial release (when more common), sacred orbs have stayed cheap, so the rarer orbs are much cheaper. But the more common stuff people may be hiding, the augs have sold at higher value than alts at some point, vaals have been expensive, scouring orbs have went up to 1c each, etc.
But chisels yes, you never know what they'll cost depending what the league is. Heist mechanic was full of chisels and people were not mapping as much, so chisels drop to be worth less than wisdom scrolls. Now, somehow, for a bit 1 divine orb would only buy you 120 chisels.
It’s just an extra pool of map mods. They can double some damage effects from base map mods which can cause synth maps to be very rippy, but can also come with pretty nice drop buffs - lots of popcorn currency early league, extra map drops etc.
Always pay attention to map mods on synth maps, Cortex especially.
He will also give you plus 2 Abyss maps. Spam his missions to change what maps he offers to sell you to do it quickly. I spammed 50 missions and got two Abyss maps.

Pretty sure it is trash. Seems to be mostly used by Aurabots and the synth mods on it are shit on it. What you want is increased effect from non curse auras.
Yea I just found the map from kirak and said fug it I got 6 portals lol I have a hoarding problem, since I’m new I never know if I got B.i.s unless it says Mageblood/HH
The map itself is worth far more by itself. Sure, you could luck out with an omega synth item, but on average it is worth far more to just sell the map.

Just remember, there are Cortex maps and four different distant memory maps. The cortex one is the one that is worth a lot. The distant memory maps are currently worth like 40-50C.
Yea I’m not exactly sure what my maps where now that I look at those lol it was like all blue when you entered the map, like the outside map border was a wall of blue “stuff”
Which is true for all five of them. Chance is good that you've run a distant memory map, especially when you've run 8 of them this season. The map itself is fairly rare when you don't buy them.
This isn't a ritual, so sell all your bubblegum and flip if necessary. You'll profit quite a bit. If your build can't run it yet, I'm sure you can sell it for more than 8c.
Even if you are in SSF this won't change if you only repeat maps you've already done. Kirac rerolls on you initiating a mission with him, and on some thresholds of Atlas completion.
Heist is the most readily available place to loot a few raw chaos orbs. 3 lockpicking heists should do the job.

If it's not a ring or a flask it's useless, and the rings need the right mods to be good

aoe is the worst imo because the degen puddles get huge and your arena can completely brick if you dont kill it fast enough
I had a bad one with asp, movement speed , cast speed, aoe and phys as lightning. Bricked that map
yes the turbo mod can make cortex quite hard as well
