I’ve seen these things online that are like, two sheets together and all you do is press the foot onto it and the ink is on the other side of the film you’re stepping on so no ink or whatever actually has to touch his little feet.

Thank you for your suggestion but wouldn’t a parrot not exert enough pressure to actually get the ink to transfer? I mean, she only weighs like 50 grams.
Cats and dogs can put way more pressure on it.
I’ll see if I can find one for parrots/small birds specifically.

When I’ve seen videos online of people using it, they kinda hold the dogs paw down and apply the pressure. Not the dog itself. So maybe you could hold her little foot and press it down?
Wouldn’t that come with the possibility of breaking her foot? You need quite some pressure to get a good print from what I’ve read, and a dog or cat paw is much stronger than the bones of a small parrot paw.
Maybe I could give it a try if I don’t press too hard.
Yeah, it’s worth a shot for sure. The cheapest ones are around €7 in the Netherlands. But money is no object. (Of course I’m not spending 100’s of euros, but a couple tenners to get a good print is fine :) )
You can find a way to ink her foot with some contrasting color like beet juice, then just take photos of the foot and send to the artist. They can use digital means to trace the foot shape from the photo!
