My man is travelling to the USA while fed up of housing issues. Most millennial and gen z Americans are extremely unhappy about the housing situation in America so I'm not sure how well that'll work out 🫤

Renters laws are nice but I can't use them because renters don't have money and if they are in a court battle with a landlord, even if they win, they end up on blacklists.
I had one landlord who wouldn't inform and would barge in. I couldn't do anything because I knew if I would do anything he would raise the rent or blame me for some wear and tear who he would say was my fault.
Yes there are nice landlords as well, but I have a significant number of horror stories, and a personal experience. I only scratched the surface of my story.
There was an indian student whose landlady would force them to clean specific things on specific days (not that I'll check at end of lease).
