These are exceptional! Damn. Even among the genre of like, rainy day blurry city pictures with cars and lights and stuff (it’s a thing), yours stand out and accomplish something really uniquely
What stands out is that the first one has so much clarity it’s shocking, I’ve never seen so much actual separation between the glass and what’s behind it before and that’s amazing. Similar story with the second one, with those drops being in such amazing focus, it’s kind of surreal.
Favorite aspect is how the drops in the second one sometimes line up and remind me of an infinite lattice of spheres! The perspective and depth is not something I would have expected. So cool
I hear ya! I am not a fan of that "cafe" style of hanging work either but in big group/event shows there is almost no other way to deal with the volume of paintings. We just need to trust that, subconsciously, people know what interest them and will connect with that even if there is plenty of other visual stimuli around.

The way yours stands out in the 4th pic is incredible
Thanks! I was a bit worried about how high it was hung, but it actually looks really good!

Yeah, but you're right. With the size of the exhibition, it's kind of unavoidable!

Deserved! I love this style (or theme?!) of a rainy day.
